focused Rapid Assessment Process(fRAP)2.0 is a community engagement approach combining geospatial mapping with rapid qualitative assessment in cyclical fashion within communities to capture multifactorial and mult.l.vel features impacting primary care *** 2.0 offers primary care researchers a methodology framework for exploring complex community features that impact primary healthcare delivery and *** fRAP 2.0 study design expands the fRAP from a sequential design to a cyclical process of geospatial mapping and rapid qualitative assessment in search of modifiable contextual *** participants are stakeholders from various socioecological levels whose perspectives inform study outcomes that they may use to then become the agents of change for the very problems they helped ***,we present a proof-of-concept study for fRAP 2.0 examining disparities in cervical cancer mort.l.ty rates among Hispanic women in *** primary outcomes of interest are features at the community level,medical health system level and regional government policy levels that offer opportunities for collaborative interventions to improve cervical cancer *** this study,geospatial mapping of county and ZIP code-level variables impacting postdiagnosis cervical cancer care at community,medical and policy levels were created using publicly available data and then overlaid with maps created with texas Cancer Registry data for cervical cancer cases in three of the largest population *** disparate areas were then qualitatively explored using participant observation and ethnographic field work,alongside 39 key informant *** discussion groups and stakeholder engagement existed at every phase of the *** the fRAP 2.0 method,we created an action-oriented roadmap of next steps to improve cervical cancer care disparities in the three texas counties with emphasis on the high disparity *** identified local change

Perhaps no region on earth presents such a confusing array of place names as does the area made up of the former provinces of Kham and Amdo in historic tibet (Xizang). Within these areas, cities, towns, villages, mountains, lakes and other geographic features have at.l.ast two names applied to them, one tibetan, the other Chinese. Overlying this indigenous nomenclature are the names applied by outsiders, mostly Europeans, each of whom used their native language to transliterate the names they heard or read from tibetan or Chinese script, and names in the languages of other ethnic minorities who live within the area. Adding to the confusion are the conflicting “standards” for transliterating tibetan and Chinese names. to resolve the inconsistencies and uncertainties of place names in this region, a mult.l.ngual gazetteer and thesaurus was prepared. the gazetteer-thesaurus was compiled to be used as a tool for correlating the often radically different names assigned to a single place or feature and to provide the geographic coordinates for each. the impetus for this project was the need to assign geographic coordinates to plant specimens collected in the area since the latter part of the 19th century up unt.l.the advent and widespread use of Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers in the 1990s. Georeferencing specimens is necessary for plotting the historical distribution of species and for more complet.l. understanding the information contained on specimen labels. Knowing the distribution of plants is important for answering phylogenetic questions, determining local and widespread biogeographical patterns, identifying areas of unusually high diversity or endemism, and determining areas in need of special protection. the value of such a gazetteer, however, extends well beyond the field of botany. It is intended to be of use to anyone with a desire to know the nomenclatural history of places in the area and for pinpointing with a fair degree of accuracy the location

Social vulnerability emphasizes the different burdens of disaster losses within and between *** China continuously experiences devastating natural disasters,there is a paucity of research specifically addressing the multidimensional nature of social *** article presents an initial study on the social vulnerability of the Yangtze River Delta region in *** goal is to replicate and test the applicability of the place-based Social Vulnerability Index(SoVI~) developed for the United States in a Chinese cultural ***-nine variables adapted from SoVI~ were collected for each of the 134 analysis units in the study *** principal components analysis,six factors were identified from the variable set:employment and poverty,education,poor housing quality,minorities,family size,and housing size—factors similar to those identified for the United *** scores were summed to get the final SoVI~ scores and the most and least vulnerable study units were identified and *** highest social vulnerability is concentrated in the southern portions of the study area—Jingning,Suichang,Yunhe,lanxi,Pan’an,and *** least socially vulnerable areas are concentrated southwest,west,and northwest of *** of replication are discussed along with policy-relevant suggestions for vulnerability reduction and risk mitigation in China.

Although social vulnerability has recently gained attention in academic studies, Brazil lacks frameworks and indicators to assess it for the entire *** vulnerability highlights differences in the human capacity to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. It varies over space and time, and among and between social groups, largely due to differences in socioeconomic and demographic characteristics. this article provides a social vulnerability index(SoVI~) replication study for Brazil and shows how SoVI~concepts and indicators were adapted to the country. SoVI~Brazil follows the place-based framework adopted in the Social Vulnerability Index initially developed for the United States. Using a principal component analysis(PCA), 45city-level indicators were reduced to 10 factors that explain about 67 % of the variance in the data. Clearly identified spatial patterns showed a concentration of the most socially vulnerable cities in the North and Northeast regions of Brazil, as well as the social vulnerability of metropolitan areas and state capit.l. in the South and Southeast *** least vulnerable cities are mainly concentrated in the inland regions of the Southeast. Although different factors contribute to the social vulnerability in each city, the overall results confirm the social and economic disparities among Brazilian’s regions and reflect a differential vulnerability to natural hazards at.l.cal to regional scales.

Background:Pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinoma(PSC)is a rare and aggressive subtype of non-small cell lung cancer(NSClC),characterized by the presence of epithelial and sarcoma-like *** molecular and immune landscape of PSC has not been well ***:Multiomics profiling of 21 pairs of PSCs with matched normal lung tissues was performed through targeted high-depth DNA panel,whole-exome,and RNA *** describe molecular and immune features that define subgroups of PSC with disparate genomic and immunogenic features as well as distinct clinical ***:In tot.l.27 canonical cancer gene mutations were identified,with tP53 the most frequently mutated gene,followed by ***,most tP53 and KRAS mutations were earlier genomic events mapped to the trunks of the tumors,suggesting branching evolution in most PSC *** identified two distinct molecular subtypes of PSC,driven primarily by immune infiltration and *** Immune High(IM-H)subtype was associated with superior survival,highlighting the impact of immune infiltration on the biological and clinical features of localized ***:We provided detailed insight into the mutational landscape of PSC and identified two molecular subtypes associated with ***-H tumors were associated with favorable recurrence-free survival and overall survival,highlighting the importance of tumor immune infiltration in the biological and clinical features of PSCs.

AIM： to test the hypothesis that pain and affect rather than impaired emptying determine symptom severity in patients with gastroparesis. MEtHODS： Adult patients with documented gastroparesis were enrolled prospectively in a single center and asked to complete the Gastroparesis Cardinal Symptom Index （GCSt）, Hospit.l.Anxiety and Depression Scale （HADS）, the Short Form 12 （SF-12） as quality of life index, rate pain severity and answer 10 open-ended questions. RESUltS： A tot.l.of 55 patients （44 women） participated. Idiopathic （n = 29） or diabetic （n = 11） gastroparesis and connective tissue disease （n = 8） were the most common underlying causes. Antiemetics （n = 30） and prokinetics （n = 32） were most often prescribed. Seventeen patients used opioids on a daily basis. Nausea and/or vomiting （n = 28）, pain （n = 24） and bloating （n = 14） were most commonly listed as dominant symptoms. Patients subjectively attributed symptom improvement to nutritional and dietary therapy （n= 11）, prokinetics （n = 11）, antiemetics （n = 10） or analgesic agents （n = 3）. In univariate analyses, the physical subscore of the SF-12 and HADS, but not gastric emptying delay or symptom duration significantly correlated with disease severity as measured by the GCSI. In multivariate analyses, the combination of vomiting, bloating and depression best predicted the overall impact on quality of life. CONClUSION： the study confirms the importance of pain and affect in gastroparesis, which requires novel approaches to improve more effectively the quality of life in patients with this disorder.
