Porous organic polymers(POPs) are porous materials composed of light elements such as C, H, N, and O. The benign characters,including large surface area, good physical and chemical stability, well-defined chemical composition, wide ranges of monomer selection, and strong designability, have made POPs one of the frontiers in materials research. In this review, we discussed the design and synthesis of various POP materials that mainly led by Chinese scientists, including conjugated microporous polymers(CMPs), porous aromatic frameworks(PAFs), and hypercrosslinked porous polymers(HCPs), as well as crystalline POPs comprised of covalent organic frameworks(COFs) and a special class of COFs with triazine rings, covalent triazine frameworks(CTFs), and supramolecular organic frameworks(SOFs), and sorted out their main applications in adsorption, separation,catalysis, and electrochemistry fields.

Objective:To select potential molecules that can target viral spike proteins,which may potentially interrupt the interaction between the human angiotension-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)receptor and viral spike protein by virtual ***:The three-dimensional(3D)-coordinate file of the receptor-binding domain(RBD)-ACE2 complex for searching a suitable docking pocket was firstly downloaded and ***,approximately 15,000 molecular candidates were prepared,including US Food and Drug Administration(FDA)-approved drngs from DrugBank and natural compounds from Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology(TCMSP),for the docking ***,virtual screening was performed and the binding energy in Autodock Vina was ***,the top 20 molecules with high binding energy and their Chinese medicine(CM)herb sources were listed in this ***:It was found that digitoxin,a cardiac glycoside in DrugBank and bisindigotin in TCMSP had the highest docking ***,two of the CM herbs containing the natural compounds that had relatively high binding scores,Forsyfh/ae frucft/s and/saf/d/s racWx,are components of lianhua Qingwen(莲花清痕),a CM formula reportedly exerting activity against severe acute respiratory syndrome(SARS)-***,raltegravir,an HIV integrase inhibitor,was found to have a relatively high binding ***:A class of compounds,which are from FDA-approved drugs and CM natural compounds,that had high binding energy with RBD of the viral spike *** work provides potential candidates for other researchers to identify inhibitors to prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection,and highlights the importance of CM and integrative application of CM and Western medicine on treating COVID-19.

BACKGROUND The phosphoinositide 3-kinase/protein kinase-B/mechanistic target of rapamycin(PI3K/Akt/mTOR) signalling pathway is crucial for cell survival, differentiation, apoptosis and metabolism. Xihuang pills(XHP) are a traditional Chinese preparation with antitumour properties. They inhibit the growth of breast cancer, glioma, and other tumours by regulating the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signalling pathway. However, the effects and mechanisms of action of XHP in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) remain unclear. Regulation of the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signalling pathway effectively inhibits the progression of HCC. However, no study has focused on the XHPassociated PI3K/Akt/mTOR signalling pathway. Therefore, we hypothesized that XHP might play a role in inhibiting HCC through the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signalling *** To confirm the effect of XHP on HCC and the possible mechanisms *** The chemical constituents and active components of XHP were analysed using ultra-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time of flight mass spectrometry(UPLC-Q-TOF-MS). Cellbased experiments and in vivo xenograft tumour experiments were utilized to evaluate the effect of XHP on HCC tumorigenesis. First, SMMC-7721 cells were incubated with different concentrations of XHP(0, 0.3125, 0.625, 1.25, and 2.5 mg/mL) for 12 h, 24 h and 48 h. Cell viability was assessed using the CCK-8 assay, followed by an assessment of cell migration using a wound healing ***, the effect of XHP on the apoptosis of SMMC-7721 cells was evaluated. SMMC-7721 cells were stained with fluorescein isothiocyanate and annexin V/propidium iodide. The number of apoptotic cells and cell cycle distribution were measured using flow cytometry. In this article,we present a detailed analysis of the statistical properties of seeing for the Muztaghata site which is a candidate site for hosting the future Chinese Large Optical/infrared Telescope(LOT)*** measurements were obtained with differential image motion monitors(DIMMs)from April2017 to November 2018 at different heights during different *** median seeings at 11 m and6 m are very close but significantly different from that on the *** mainly analyzed the seeing at11 m monthly and hourly,having found that the best season for observing was from late autumn to early winter and seeing tended to improve during the night only in *** analysis of the dependence on temperature inversion,wind speed and direction also was made and the best meteorological conditions for seeing are given.

Site-testing is crucial for achieving the goal of scientific research and analysis of meteorological and optical observing conditions,one of the associated basic *** one of three potential sites to host the 12-meter Large Optical/infrared Telescope(LOT),the Muztagh-ata site,which is located on the Pamir Plateau in Xinjiang,in west China,began its site-testing task in the spring of *** this paper,we firstly start with an introduction to the site and then present a statistical analysis of the ground-level meteorological properties such as air temperature,barometric pressure,relative humidity,and wind speed and direction,recorded by an automatic weather station with standard meteorological sensors for a two-year *** also show the monitoring results of sky brightness during this period.

Objective Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains *** A retrospective follow-up design was adopted. A total of 1,160 laboratory-confirmed patients were enrolled from nine provinces in China. Data on comorbidities were obtained from the patients’ medical records. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to estimate the odds ratio(OR) and 95% confidence interval(95% CI) of the associations between comorbidities(cardiometabolic or non-cardiometabolic diseases), clinical severity, and treatment outcomes of *** Overall, 158(13.6%) patients were diagnosed with severe illness and 32(2.7%) had unfavorable outcomes. Hypertension(2.87, 1.30–6.32), type 2 diabetes(T2 DM)(3.57, 2.32–5.49),cardiovascular disease(CVD)(3.78, 1.81–7.89), fatty liver disease(7.53, 1.96–28.96), hyperlipidemia(2.15, 1.26–3.67), other lung diseases(6.00, 3.01–11.96), and electrolyte imbalance(10.40, 3.00–26.10)were independently linked to increased odds of being severely ill. T2 DM(6.07, 2.89–12.75), CVD(8.47,6.03–11.89), and electrolyte imbalance(19.44, 11.47–32.96) were also strong predictors of unfavorable outcomes. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease on admission(5.46,3.25–9.19), while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes(6.58, 1.46–29.64) within two *** Besides hypertension, diabetes, and CVD, fatty liver disease, hyperlipidemia, other lung diseases, and electrolyte imbalance were independent risk factors for COVID-19 severity and poor treatment outcome. Women with comorbidities were more likely to have severe disease, while men with comorbidities were more likely to have unfavorable treatment outcomes.
