Texture Induced by Molecular Weight Dispersity: Polymorphism within Poly(L-lactic acid) Spherulites

Poly(L-lactic acid)(PLLA)has drawn much attention due to its excellent medical and pharmaceutical applications for *** a semi-crystalline polymer,morphology and crystal structure of PLLA greatly determine its ***,w e demonstrate,for PLLA films,a nonconventional texture featuring two types of spherulites emerging in pairs to form a distinct nested structure where a small spherulite(〜10μm)is embedded in a large one(100μm to 300μm).In addition to the size,the molecular weight and polymorph are different in the large and small *** a-form and relatively low molecular weight are identified in the large spherulites,while meta-stable a'-form and relatively high molecular weight in the small *** differences suggest that the polydisperse PLLA polymers fractionate during film formation and the high-molecular-weight fraction crystallizes into the small spherulites with meta-stable structure because of its complicated polymer entanglement and high *** contrast,the rest of polymers crystallize into the large spherulites with the thermodynamically stable ***,this texture exhibits accelerated PLLA degradation initiated from the small spherulites,which is distinct from the typical PLLA *** provided by this work may lead to new texture-properties relationship associated with polydispersity of molecular weight.

Gel-incorporated single-crystals provide unique combinational properties of long-range order and composite structures, which is desired for semiconducting and conducting materials. However, the reported gel-incorporated single-crystals are limited to insulating crystals. Here, we examine crystals of two typical semiconductors, lead sulfide （PbS） and lead iodide （Pbl2）, grown from both silica gels and agarose gels. In all the four crystal-gel pairs, single-crystals of the cubic phase of PbS and the hexagonal phase of Phi2 were obtained according to the X-ray diffraction analysis. Dissolution of the gel-grown crystals exposed insoluble materials with the shape similar to the original crystals, indicative of gelincorporation inside the crystals. As such, this work creates a facile strategy to construct 3D heterostructures inside serniconducting single-crystals without destroying their long-range order.

Rechargeable lithium metal batteries(LMBs)have gained much attention ***,the short lifespan and safety issues restrict their commercial *** we report a novel gel polymer electrolyte(GPE)based on lithiated poly(vinyl chloride-r-acrylic acid)(PVCAAli)to realize dendritesuppressing and long-term stable lithium metal *** chains ensure the quick gelation process and high electrolyte uptake,and lithiated PAA segments enable the increase of mechanical strength,acceleration of lithium-ion transmission and improvement of interfacial *** GPE showed much higher mechanical strength compared with other free-standing GPEs in previous *** displays a superior ionic conductivity of 1.50 m S cm^(-1) and a high lithium-ion transference number of 0.59 at room ***,the lithiated GPE exhibits excellent interfacial compatibility with lithium metal *** symmetrical cells with PVCAAli GPE yield low hysteresis of 50 m V over1000 h at 1.0 m A cm^(-2).And the possible mechanism of the lithiated GPE with improved lithium-ion transfer and interfacial property was ***,both the li4Ti5O12/li and lithium-sulfur(li-S)cells assembled with PVCAAli GPE show outstanding electrochemical performance,retaining high discharge capacities of 133.8 m Ah g^(-1) and 603.8 m Ah g^(-1) over 200 cycles,*** work proves excellent application potential of the highly effective and low-cost PVCAAli GPE in safe and long-life LMBs.

Field-effect transistors（FETs） of three diketopyrrolopyrroles（DPP）-based small molecules, 3,6-bis（5-phenylthiophene-2-yl）-2,5-bis（2-ethylhexyl）pyrrolopyrrole-1,4-dione（PDPPP）, 3,6-bis（5-（4-fluorophenyl）thiophene-2-yl）-2,5-bis（2-ethylhexyl）pyrrolo pyrrole-1,4-dione（FPDPPPF） and 3,6-bis（5-（4-n-butylphenyl）thiophene-2-yl）-2,5-bis（2-ethylhexyl）pyrrolo pyrrole-1,4-dione（Bu PDPPPBu）, have been studied in this work. Well aligned crystals of the three molecules were grown from para-xylene by droplet-pinned crystallization method. FETs based on these aligned crystals exhibit a hole mobility up to0.19 cm^2 V 1s 1and electron mobility up to 0.008 cm^2 V 1s 1. The achieved hole mobility is of the same order of magnitude as reported highest hole mobility for DPP-based small molecules, but it is much lower than that of the high-performance DPP-based polymers. The relative low mobility is mainly attributed to the rough crystal surfaces with steps and, thus, non-smooth charge transport channels at the interfaces between the crystals and the dielectrics. This work has implications for understanding the low charge mobility of DPP-based small molecules.

The effect and mechanism of phenylacetic acid on the proliferation of pancreatic carcinoma cells were investigated in cultured pancreatic carcinoma BXPC-3 cells by means of 3-（4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl）-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay and flow cytometry *** results show that the treatment of pancreatic carcinoma cells with phenylacetic acid significantly inhibited the cell proliferation in time-dependent and dose-dependent *** proliferation of BXPC-3 cells was inhibited at the stage of S phase,the cells at the end stage of S phase were accumulated abundantly,and thus DNA synthesis could not be accomplished *** addition,the expression of adenosine deaminases acting on RNA（ADARs） mRNA in BXPC-3 cells and pancreatic carcinoma specimen were detected by *** been treated with phenylacetic acid,ADAR2 mRNA in BXPC-3 cells was significantly decreased,the differences were of statistical significance（P0.01）.Taken together,these results suggest that phenylacetic acid may likely regulate the proliferation of pancreatic carcinoma cells through the regulation of ADAR2 mRNA expression.

为了有效提高在线带钢表面缺陷检测的识别率和实时性,提出了一种优化的量子粒子群-径向基函数(QPSO-RBF)网络的带钢缺陷分类识别算法。首先采用加权模糊C-均值聚类(WFCM)算法确定RBF网络隐含层参数,算法对带钢缺陷特征数据出现的团状分布与疏散分布问题能够达到很好的聚类划分,避免对特征数据集等划分的趋势;然后采用QPSO算法对RBF网络的参数编码成粒子个体,在全局空间中动态地搜索最优适应值的RBF网络参数,提高了网络的学习性能,并建立了带钢缺陷分类识别的专家知识库。实验结果表明:本文算法可以自动获得较优的网络结构,收敛速度快,对带钢缺陷的平均识别率为94.63%,平均误识率为3.0%,对测试样本的识别时间为4ms,小于生产线上每张图片的采集周期10ms,因此,可以为高速生产线上的带钢表面缺陷在线实时检测提供了有利条件。

The attention mechanism has become a pivotal component in artificial intelligence, significantly enhancing the performance of deep learning applications. However, its quadratic computational complexity and intricate computations lead to substantial inefficiencies when processing long sequences. To address these challenges, we introduce Attar, a resistive random access memory(RRAM)-based in-memory accelerator designed to optimize attention mechanisms through software-hardware co-optimization. Attar leverages efficient Top-k pruning and quantization strategies to exploit the sparsity and redundancy of attention matrices, and incorporates an RRAM-based in-memory softmax engine by harnessing the versatility of the RRAM crossbar. Comprehensive evaluations demonstrate that Attar achieves a performance improvement of up to 4.88× and energy saving of 55.38% over previous computing-in-memory(CIM)-based accelerators across various models and datasets while maintaining comparable accuracy. This work underscores the potential of in-memory computing to enhance the efficiency of attention-based models without compromising their effectiveness.
