A high-temperature reduction roasting method was used to achieve metallic iron and zinc recovery from blast furnace gas ash(BFA).The reduction processes for Zn-containing and Fe-containing oxides were analyzed in detail by using ther-modynamic equilibrium calculation and the principle of minimum free *** results showed that the main reaction in the system is the reduction of ZnFe_(2)_(4)and iron *** the full temperature range,iron oxides were more easily reduced than zinc *** of the amount of co contained in the system,the reduction of ZnO to Zn was difficult to proceed below the boiling point(906℃)of *** the reduction temperature is below 906℃,the reduction process of zinc ferrate was ZnFe_(2)_(4)→ZnO;when the reduction temperature is above 906℃,its reduction process becomed ZnFe_(2)_(4)→ZnO→Zn(g).The metallization and dezincification rates of the BFA gradually increased with increasing reaction *** the C/O ratio increased,the metallization and dezincification rates first increased and then *** effect of reduction time on BFA reduction was similar to that of reaction temperature.

The rational design of composition nanostructures and morphologies of the carbon-based composites materials has a significant potential for tuning electromagnetic parameters and thereby improving their performance as electromagnetic wave(EMW)*** this work,the flower-like Cu/co-NC/MoS_(2)(NC=N-doped carbon skeleton)composites were successfully prepared by employing CucoZn-ZIF(ZIF=zeolitic imidazolate framework)as precursor with subsequent annealing and hydrothermal *** unique flower-like morphology and electromagnetic synergy strategy between components enable the as-obtained Cu/co-NC/MoS_(2)composites to exhibit outstanding microwave absorption ***,the minimum reflection loss of Cu/co-NC/MoS_(2)reaches-54.36 dB at 2.7 *** the thickness reduces to 2.2 mm,the maximum effective absorption bandwidth can be achieved as large as 6.72 *** research develops useful ideas for optimizing multicomponent microwave absorbing materials.

Instrumented indentation is a promising technique for estimating surface residual stresses and mechanical properties in engineering *** relative difference between the indentation loads for unstressed and stressed specimens was selected as the key parameter for measuring surface residual stresses in flat-ended cylindrical *** on the equivalent material method and finite element simulations,a dimensionless mapping model with six constants was established between the relative load difference,constitutive model parameters,and normalized residual stress.A novel method for measuring the surface residual stress and constitutive model parameters of metallic material through flat-ended cylindrical indentations was proposed using this model and a mechanical properties determination *** simulations were conducted using numerous elastoplastic materials with different residual stresses to verify the proposed model;good agreements were observed between the predicted residual stresses and those previously applied in finite element ***-ended cylindrical indentation tests were performed on four metallic materials using cruciform specimens subjected to various equibiaxial *** results exhibited good conformance between the stress–strain curves obtained using the proposed method and those from traditional tensile tests,and the absolute differences between the predicted residual stresses and applied stresses were within 40 MPa in most cases.

SO_(2)poisoning is a common problem in the catalytic combustion of volatile organic compounds(VOCs).In this work,we took three-dimensionally ordered macroporous and mesoporous(3DOM)SiO_(2)as the nanoreactor to protect active sites from SO_(2)erosion in the catalytic combustion of ***,the confined growth of metal active nanoparticles in the multi-stage pore is also full of *** we successfully confined co_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles(NPs)in macroporous and mesoporous ***,the precursors’growth in the pore was controlled and nanoreactors with different pore sizes were prepared by adjusting the loading amount and preparation *** is discovered that the co_(3)O_(4)NPs confined in 3DOM SiO_(2)nanoreactor showed superior sulfur and water *** functional theory(DFT)calculations verified that the co-Si catalyst had high SO_(2)adsorption energy(-0.48 eV),which illustrated that SO_(2)was hard to attach to the surface of the co-Si *** SiO_(2)nanoreactor had low SO_(2)adsorption energy(-5.15 eV),which indicated that SO_(2)was easily absorbed on SiO_(2)*** illustrated that the SiO_(2)nanoreactor could protect effectively active sites from SO_(2)erosion.

Developing stable electrodes for seawater splitting remains a great challenge due to the detachment of catalysts at a large operating current and severe anode corrosion caused by ***,divalent anion intercalation and etching-hydrolysis strategies are deployed to synthesize the ultra-stable anode,dendritic Fe(OH)_(3) grown on Ni(SO_4)_(0.3)(OH)_(1.4)–Ni(OH)_(2).Experimental results reveal that the anode exhibits good activity and excellent stability in alkaline simulated *** 500 h,the current density operated at 1.72 V remains 99.5%,about 210 m A cm^(-2).The outstanding stability originates from the etchinghydrolysis strategy,which strengthens the interaction between the catalyst and the carrier and retards thus the detachment of catalysts at a large current ***,theoretical simulations confirm that the intercalated divalent anions,such as SO_4^(2-) and co_(3)^(2-),can weaken the adsorption strength of chlorine on the surface of catalysts and hinder the coupling and hybridization between chlorine and nickel,which slows down the anode corrosion and improves catalytic ***,the twoelectrode system shows the remarkable 95.1% energy efficiency at 2,000 A m-2and outstanding stability in 6 mol L^(-1) KOH +seawater at 80 ℃.

The morphology of graded crushed stone(gCS)particles has an essential influence on the performance of aggregate *** impact of particle shape is a comprehensive effect that cannot be considered separately,leading to difficulties in establishing the relationship between the mixture properties and the aggregate morphology by using laboratory *** discrete element method(DEM)is an effective way widely adopted to reconstruct the morphology of particles and simulate performance tests of granular ***,selecting limited particles characterizing a real particle-assembly for simulation is still a challenge in current research due to the inherent rich variability of particle *** this study,based on the acquisition of three-dimensional(3D)aggregate shapes by using laser scanning,ellipsoid index(EDI)translating the particle shape as a function of surface area,volume,and contour length is proposed to comprehensively evaluate aggregate ***,a particle library capable of characterizing aggregate morphology distribution is established based on the statistics of the corresponding morphological characteristics of particle *** model reliability is validated by carrying out a series of experimental and numerical penetration tests with nine different *** established particle library can be used to model aggregate mixtures and the proposed simulation framework is promising for optimizing the mixture gradation design numerically.

Drip irrigation and flood irrigation are major irrigation methods for maize crops in the Hetao Irrigation District,Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,*** research delves into the effects of these irrigation methods on carbon dioxide(co_(2))exchange and crop growth in this *** experimental site was divided into drip and flood irrigation *** irrigation schedules of this study aligned with the local commonly used irrigation *** employed a developed chamber system to measure the diurnal co_(2)exchange of maize plants during various growth stages under both drip and flood irrigation *** May to September in 2020 and 2021,two sets of repeated experiments were *** each experiment,a total of nine measurements of co_(2)exchange were performed to obtain carbon exchange data at different growth stages of maize *** each co_(2)exchange measurement event,co_(2)flux data were collected every two hours over a day-long period to capture the diurnal variations in co_(2)*** each co_(2)exchange measurement event,the biological parameters(aboveground biomass and crop growth rate)of maize and environmental parameters(including air humidity,air temperature,precipitation,soil water content,and photosynthetically active radiation)were *** results indicated a V-shaped trend in net ecosystem co_(2)exchange in daytime,reducing slowly at night,while the net assimilation rate(net primary productivity)exhibited a contrasting ***,compared with flood irrigation,drip irrigation demonstrated significantly higher average daily soil co_(2)emission and greater average daily co_(2)absorption by maize ***,within the maize ecosystem,drip irrigation appeared more conducive to absorbing atmospheric co_(2).Furthermore,drip irrigation demonstrated a faster crop growth rate and increased aboveground biomass compared with flood irrigation.A strong linear relationship existed between leaf area index and light utiliza

The use of fillers to enhance the corrosion protection of epoxy resins has been widely *** this work,cerium dioxide(CeO_(2))and benzotriazole(BTA)were introduced into an epoxy resin to enhance the corrosion resistance of Q235 carbon *** electron microscopy results indicated that the CeO_(2) grains were rod-like and ellipsoidal in shape,and the distribution pattern of BTA was analyzed by energy dispersive *** dynamic potential polarization curve proved the excellent corrosion resistance of the composite epoxy resin with CeO_(2) and BTA co-addition,and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy test analysis indicated the significantly enhanced long-term corrosion protection performance of the composite *** the optimal protective performance was provided by the coating containing 0.3%(mass)CeO_(2) and 20%(mass)BTA,which was attributed to the barrier performance of CeO_(2) particles and the chemical barrier effect of *** formation of corrosion products was analyzed using X-ray *** addition,the corrosion resistance mechanism of the coating was also discussed in detail.
