The semi-rigid pile-supported composite foundation is widely used in highway projects due to its effectiveness in increasing the bearing capacity and stability of *** is crucial to understand the stress distribution across the embankment width and the behaviour of unreinforced ***,five centrifuge tests were conducted to examine the bearing and deformation behaviours of NPRS(Non-Connected Piled Raft Systems)and GRPS(GeosyntheticReinforced Pile-Supported systems)with varying substratum stiffness,then a comparative analysis was conducted on embankment settlement,pressures underneath the embankments,and axial forces along the *** results indicated that greater substratum stiffness correlates with reduced settlement and deformation at various *** occurring 5 meters from the embankment toe includes settlement in NPRS and upward movement in *** potential sliding surface is primarily located within the embankment in NPRS,whereas it may extend through both the embankment and foundation in *** pile-soil stress ratio and efficiency in NPRS are higher than in GRPS across the *** axial force borne by end-bearing piles is significantly greater than that by floating *** the buried depth increases,the axial force in GRPS initially rises then declines,whereas in NPRS,it remains relatively constant within a certain range before *** study aids in assessing the applicability of composite foundations in complex railway environments and provides a reference for procedural measures under similar conditions.

Traffic sign detection is a crucial task for autonomous driving ***,the performance of deep learning-based algorithms for traffic sign detection is highly affected by the illumination conditions of *** existing algo-rithms demonstrate high accuracy in well-lit environments,they suffer from low accuracy in low-light *** paper proposes an end-to-end framework,LLTH-YOLOv5,specifically tailored for traffic sign detection in low-light scenarios,which enhances the input images to improve the detection *** proposed framework comproses two stages:the low-light enhancement stage and the object detection *** the low-light enhancement stage,a lightweight low-light enhancement network is designed,which uses multiple non-reference loss functions for parameter learning,and enhances the image by pixel-level adjustment of the input image with high-order *** the object detection stage,BIFPN is introduced to replace the PANet of YOLOv5,while designing a transformer-based detection head to improve the accuracy of small target ***,GhostDarkNet53 is utilized based on Ghost module to replace the backbone network of YOLOv5,thereby improving the real-time performance of the *** experimental results show that the proposed method significantly improves the accuracy of traffic sign detection in low-light scenarios,while satisfying the real-time requirements of autonomous driving.

Monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs)have become a promising platform in valleytronics due to possessing the regulatable valley degrees of ***,as a result of the rapid intervalley scattering,it is difficult to measure the PL valley polarization of monolayer TMDCs at room temperature,which limits their application in valleytronics ***,we report a room temperature photoluminescence(PL)valley polarization up to 3.73%in an“optical bilayer”WS_(2)formed by transferring monolayer WS_(2)onto flat Ag ***,in the transient absorption(TA)measurements,a remarkably long valley depolarization lifetime is ***,we demonstrate the valley properties of such“optical bilayer”WS_(2)resemble actual bilayer WS_(2),in which the robust valley polarization can be attributed to the phonons depletion effect and the blocked interlayer hopping *** peculiar valley features in“optical bilayer”WS_(2)provide a particularly simple method to enhance valley control at room temperature.

Optimizing electronic structure of Mo_(2)TiC_(2)T_(x) MXene through Nb doping for enhanced electrochemical performance

MXene is a promising electrode material for both high volumetric capacitance and high-rate performance in ***,the current study has mainly focused on the monometallic element Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene until now,while the bimetallic and multimetallic MXene have received comparatively less *** this work,we demonstrate that the electronic structure of the Mo_(2)TiC_(2)T_(x) MXene could be regulated by fine-tuning the content of doped Nb *** enhanced electron cloud density of surface–O termination and the electron spin of the Mo atoms in the Mo_(2)TiC_(2)T_(x) MXene,leads to the boost of electric double-layer capacitor(EDLC)and improvement of *** a consequence,the electrochemical performance of Nb-doped Mo_(2)TiC_(2)T_(x) MXene(Nb-0.3-MXene)demonstrates a capacitance of 398 F·cm^(−3),roughly doubling that of the pristine Mo_(2)TiC_(2)T_(x) MXene electrode at 197 F·cm^(−3) in the 3 M H_(2)SO_(4) *** the same time,the Nb-0.3-MXene could even maintain a capacitance of 82.75% at 200 mV·s−1,with high cyclic stability for 19,000 cycles at 10 A·g−***,Nb-0.3-MXene-based hybrid supercapacitors deliver a remarkable volumetric energy density of 48.1 W·h·L^(−1)at 230.7 W·L^(−1),and 34.4 W·h·L^(−1)at a high power density of 82.6 kW·L^(−1).There exists a balance between the volumetric capacitance and rate performance with different ratios of Nb atoms in the Nb-doped MXene due to the strong interaction between the Nb-doped MXene and the intercalated ***,optimizing the electronic structure of MXene through heteroatom doping is of great potential for enhanced supercapacitor performance.

Nonlinear characteristics of torsional stiffness of a coilable mast with triangular section

With numerous applications coilable masts in high-precision astronomical observations,such as X-ray source observations,it is important to investigate mast *** date,there have been many studies on the bending stiffness of coilable masts,but few studies on their torsional stiffness,especially regarding the nonlinear characteristics of torsional stiffness of coilable masts under large torsional *** this paper,a nonlinear analysis method is presented to examine the torsional stiffness of coilable masts with triangular *** on the second-order bending buckling hypothesis of battens under large torsion deformation,the nonlinear relationship between torsional torque and torsional angle is obtained by analyzing torsional deformation and force of coilable *** method is used to analyze the torsional stiffness nonlinearity of a certain type of coilable mast which will be used in a practical application in the future and the results are verified by simulation and *** comparison results show that the error is within the acceptable range,which proves the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Experimental and numerical analyses of the effect of fibre content on the close-in blast performance of a UHPFRC beam

Limited research has been conducted on the influences of fiber content on close-in blasting characteristics for ultrahigh-performance fiber-reinforced concrete(UHPFRC)*** paper aims to address this knowledge gap through experimental and mesoscale numerical *** were conducted on ten UHPFRC beams built with varying steel fiber volumetric fractions subjected to close-in explosive ***,this study considered other parameters,such as the longitudinal reinforcement type and *** the case of UHPFRC beams featuring normal-strength longitudinal reinforcement of diametersΦ12,Φ16,andΦ20,a reduction in maximum displacement by magnitudes of19.6%,19.5%,and 17.4%was observed,respectively,as the volumetric fractions of fiber increased from1.0%to 2.5%.In addition,increasing the longitudinal reinforcement ratio and using high-strength steel longitudinal reinforcement both significantly reduced the deformation characteristics and increase the blasting resistances of UHPFRC ***,the effects on the local crushing and spalling damage were not significant.A mesoscale finite element model,which considers the impacts of fiber parameters on UHPFRC beam behaviors,was also established and well correlated with the test ***,parametric analyses were further conducted to examine the impacts of the steel fiber content and length and the hybrid effects of various types of microfibers and steel fibers on the blasting performance of UHPFRC beams.

Single-incision vs three-port laparoscopic cholecystectomy:Prospective randomized study

AIM:To compare the clinical outcome of single-inci-sion laparoscopic cholecystectomy(SILC)with threeport laparoscopic cholecystectomy(TPLC). METHODS:Between 2009 and 2011,one hundred and two patients with symptomatic benign gallbladder diseases were randomized to SILC(n=49)or TPLC (n=53).The primary end point was post operative pain score(at 6 h and 7 d).Secondary end points were blood loss,operation duration,overall complications,postoperative analgesic requirements,length of hospital stay,cosmetic result and total *** techniques were standardized and all operations were performed by one experienced surgeon,who had performed more than 500 laparoscopic cholecystectomies. RESULTS:One patient in the SILC group required conversion to two-port *** were no open conversions or major complications in either treatment *** were no differences in terms of esti-mated blood loss(mean±SD,14±6.0 mL vs 15±4.0 mL),operation duration(mean±SD,41.8±17.0 min vs 38.5±22.0 min),port-site complications(contusion at incision:5 cases vs 4 cases and hematoma at inci- sion:2 cases vs 1 case),total cost(mean±SD,12 075 ±1047 RMB vs 11 982±1153 RMB)and hospital stay (mean±SD,1.0±0.5 d vs 1.0±0.2 d),respectively. TPLC had a significantly worse visual analogue pain score at 8 h after surgery(mean±SD,3.5±1.6 vs 2.0 ±1.5),however,the scores were similar on day 7(mean ±SD,2.5±1.4 vs 2.0±1.3).Cosmetic satisfaction, as determined by a survey at 2 mo follow-up favored SILC(mean±SD,8±0.4 vs 6±0.2). CONCLUSION:SILC is a safe and feasible approach in selected *** main advantages are a better cosmetic result and less pain.

High-speed penetration of ogive-nose projectiles into thick concrete targets:Tests and a projectile nose evolution model

The majority of the projectiles used in the hypersonic penetration study are solid flat-nosed cylindrical projectiles with a diameter of less than 20 *** study aims to fill the gap in the experimental and analytical study of the evolution of the nose shape of larger hollow projectiles under hypersonic *** the hypersonic penetration test,eight ogive-nose AerMet100 steel projectiles with a diameter of 40 mm were launched to hit concrete targets with impact velocities that ranged from 1351 to 1877 m/*** erosion of the projectiles was observed during high-speed penetration of heterogeneous targets,and apparent localized mushrooming occurred in the front nose of recovered *** examining the damage to projectiles,a linear relationship was found between the relative length reduction rate and the initial kinetic energy of projectiles in different penetration ***,microscopic analysis revealed the forming mechanism of the localized mushrooming phenomenon for eroding penetration,i.e.,material spall erosion abrasion mechanism,material flow and redistribution abrasion mechanism and localized radial upsetting deformation ***,a model of highspeed penetration that included erosion was established on the basis of a model of the evolution of the projectile nose that considers radial upsetting;the model was validated by test data from the literature and the present *** upon the impact velocity,v0,the projectile nose may behave as undistorted,radially distorted or *** to the effects of abrasion of the projectile and enhancement of radial upsetting on the duration and amplitude of the secondary rising segment in the pulse shape of projectile deceleration,the predicted DOP had an upper limit.

BACKGROUND Cell division cyclin 25C(CDC25C)is a protein that plays a critical role in the cell cycle,specifically in the transition from the G2 phase to the M *** research has shown that CDC25C could be a potential therapeutic target for cancers,particularly for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).However,the specific regulatory mechanisms underlying the role of CDC25C in HCC tumorigenesis and development remain incompletely *** To explore the impact of CDC25C on cell proliferation and apoptosis,as well as its regulatory mechanisms in HCC *** Hepa1-6 and B16 cells were transduced with a lentiviral vector containing shRNA interference sequences(LV-CDC25C shRNA)to knock down ***,a xenograft mouse model was established by subcutaneously injecting transduced Hepa1-6 cells into C57BL/6 mice to assess the effects of CDC25C knockdown on HCC development in *** proliferation and migration were evaluated using a Cell Counting Kit-8 cell proliferation assays and wound healing assays,*** expression of endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress-related molecules(glucose-regulated protein 78,X-box binding protein-1,and C/EBP homologous protein)was measured in both cells and subcutaneous xenografts using quantitative real-time PCR(qRT-PCR)and western ***,apoptosis was investigated using flow cytometry,qRT-PCR,and western *** CDC25C was stably suppressed in Hepa1-6 and B16 cells through LV-CDC25C shRNA transduction.A xenograft model with CDC25C knockdown was successfully established and that downregulation of CDC25C expression significantly inhibited HCC growth in ***25C knockdown not only inhibited cell proliferation and migration but also significantly increased the ER stress response,ultimately promoting ER stress-induced apoptosis in HCC *** The regulatory mechanism of CDC25C in HCC development may involve the activation of ER stress and the ER stress-induced apoptosis signali
