Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glasses are promising materials for thermometers based on the fluorescence intensity ratio(FIR)***,at high Nd^(3+)concentrations,energy transfer(ET)processes such as optical reabsorption and cross-relaxation can affect the Nd^(3+)emission,which has been little explored in the ***,the present work investigated the use of Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glass(samples doped with Nd^(3+)at 0.2 mol%,0.5 mol%,2.0 mol%,and 4.0 mol%)in fluorescence thermometers,in the temperature range from 299 to 371 *** results indicate a strong dependence of the FIR parameters on the Nd^(3+)concentration,due to changes in the emission band profiles caused by optical reabsorption of the Nd^(3+)emissions and cross-relaxation processes.A decrease of the relative sensitivity of the ratio^(4)F_(5/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)/^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)is observed for samples doped with higher amounts of Nd^(3+).The maximum relative sensitivity at 299 K is 3.00%/K,which is the highest value among the reported Nd^(3+)ions.

The top goal of modern medicine is treating disease without destroying organ structures and making patients as healthy as they were before their *** invasive surgery(MIS)has dominated the surgical realm because of its lesser ***,changes in anatomical structures of the body and reconstruction of internal organs or different organs are common after traditional surgery or MIS,decreasing the quality of life of patients ***,I propose a new treatment mode,super MIS(SMIS),which is defined as“curing a disease or lesion which used to be treated by MIS while preserving the integrity of the organs”.In this study,I describe the origin,definition,operative channels,advantages,and future perspectives of SMIS.

Belief propagation list(BPL) decoding for polar codes has attracted more attention due to its inherent parallel nature. however, a large gap still exists with cRc-aided ScL(cA-ScL) *** this work, an improved segmented belief propagation list decoding based on bit flipping(SBPL-BF) is proposed. On the one hand, the proposed algorithm makes use of the cooperative characteristic in BPL decoding such that the codeword is decoded in different BP decoders. Based on this characteristic, the unreliable bits for flipping could be split into multiple subblocks and could be flipped in different decoders simultaneously. On the other hand, a more flexible and effective processing strategy for the priori information of the unfrozen bits that do not need to be flipped is designed to improve the decoding convergence. In addition, this is the first proposal in BPL decoding which jointly optimizes the bit flipping of the information bits and the code bits. In particular, for bit flipping of the code bits, a h-matrix aided bit-flipping algorithm is designed to enhance the accuracy in identifying erroneous code bits. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm significantly improves the errorcorrection performance of BPL decoding for medium and long codes. It is more than 0.25 d B better than the state-of-the-art BPL decoding at a block error rate(BLER) of 10^(-5), and outperforms cA-ScL decoding in the low signal-to-noise(SNR) region for(1024, 0.5)polar codes.

During continuous casting of steel slabs,the application of electromagnetic braking technology(EMBr)provides an effective tool to influence solidification by controlling the pattern of melt flow in the ***,the quality of the final product can be improved considerably.A new electromagnetic braking(EMBr)method,named vertical-combined electromagnetic braking(Vc-EMBr),is proposed to be applied to a flexible thin slab casting(FTSc)*** evaluate the beneficial effects of the Vc-EMBr,the melt flow,heat transfer,and solidification processes in the FTSc mold are studied by means of numerical *** detail,a Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes turbulence model together with an enthalpy-porosity approach was *** numerical findings are compared with respective simulations using the traditional *** results demonstrate that the application of the Vc-EMBr contributes significantly to preventing relative slab *** contrast to the Ruler-EMBr,the additional vertical magnetic poles of the Vc-EMBr preferentially suppress the direct impact of jet flow on the narrow face of FSTc mold and considerably diminish the level fluctuation near the meniscus *** instance,by applying a magnetic flux density of 0.3 T,the maximum amplitude of meniscus deflection reduces by about 80%.Moreover,the braking effect of the Vc-EMBr effectively improves the homogeneity of temperature distribution in the upper recirculation region and increases the solidified shell thickness along the casting *** this basis,the newly proposed Vc-EMBr shows a beneficial effect in preventing relative slab defects for FTSc thin slab continuous casting.

In this paper, the insurance company considers venture capital and risk-free investment in a constant proportion. The surplus process is perturbed by diffusion. At first, the integro-differential equations satisfied by the expected discounted dividend payments and the Gerber-Shiu function are derived. Then, the approximate solutions of the integro-differential equations are obtained through the sinc method. Finally, the numerical examples are given when the claim sizes follow different distributions. Furthermore, the errors between the explicit solution and the numerical solution are discussed in a special case.

Objective To explore the molecular mechanism by which curcumin affects renal interstitial fibrosis(RIF)progression by regulating ADAM metallopeptidase with thrombospondin type 1 motif 18(ADAMTS18)*** NRK-49F cells RIF model were induced with transforming growth factorβ1(TGF-β1).Effects of different concentrations of curcumin(0,10,20,and 30μmol/L)on cell proliferation,cell cycle,cell apoptosis as well as cyclin D1 expression were analyzed by cell counting kit-8,flow cytometry and Western blot,***18 methylation levels were determined by methylation-specific polymerase chain ***18,fibronectin(FN),type I collagen(col-I)and alpha-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA)mRNA and protein expressions were analyzed by real-time PcR(RT-PcR)and Western blot,***,cells were treated with 50 mmol/L 5-aza-2′-deoxycytidine(5-aza-dc,demethylation agent)for 72 *** of curcumin on extracellular matrix(EcM)deposition was evaluated by immunochemical staining and Western ***-49F cells were transfected with ADAMTS18 small interfering RNA and grouped into a normal control,ADAMTS18-knock-out(KO),and ADAMTS18-KO+30μmol/L curcumin groups,and whether curcumin can reverse the effect of ADAMTS18 knockdown on RIF was *** compared with the control group,TGF-β1 significantly inhibited the proliferation of NRK-49F cells,blocked the G1/G0 phase,promoted cell apoptosis and inhibited cyclin D1 expression(Phe different concentrations of curcumin,30μmol/L curcumin significantly reversed these processes(Pchemical staining and Western blot results showed that curcumin significantly inhibited the deposition of FN,col-I andα-SMA(Pcurcumin and 5-zaz-dc had synergistic effects,promoting ADAMTS18 expression,removing ADAMTS18 methylation,and reducing EcM ***18 knockdown promoted EcM accumulation,and curcumin reversed this process(Pconclusion TGF-β1-induced fibrosis in NRK-49F ***
