Fluorinated smectic liquid crystals each with a biphenyl benzoate rigid core are investigated. Molecular structures of the studied compounds have difference only in fluorine position and the length of the carbon chain. Dielectric relaxation study and electro-optical measurements are carried out with the classical SSFLC geometry. the field-induced phase transitions are studied and the（E,t） phase diagram is established.

In the framework of the 3-3-1 model with neutral leptons,we investigate lepton-flavor-violating sources based on the higgs mass spectrum,which has two neutral higgs identified with the corresponding ones of the two-higgs-doublet *** note that at the 13teV scale of the LhC,the parameter space regions satisfy the experimental limits of e_(i)→e_(j)γ*** regions depend heavily on the mixing of exotic leptons but are predicted to have large h_(1)^(0)→μτ*** also show that Br(h_(1)^(0)→μτ)can reach a value of 10^(-4).

Solar energy is regarded as one of the promising renewable energy sources in the *** main aim of this study is to use the taguchi-Grey relational grade analysis to optimize the performance of two Solar Air heaters(SAhs).A typical Grey–taguchi method was *** Orthogonal Array,Signal-to-Noise ratio,Grey Relational Grade,and Analysis of Variance were employed to investigate the performance characteristics of *** observations were made in agreement with Jordanian climate 32°00′N latitude and 36°00′E longitude with a solar intensity of 500 W\m^(2).the operating factors selected for optimization are the tilt angle(t)with three levels(0°,22°,45°),inlet velocity(V)with two levels(1.2,1.8 m/s),and absorber plate material(M)with two levels(Aluminum,wood).In this study,the Grey–taguchi approach is validated by performing 12 individual *** results show that the process factors sequence required for a maximum SAh efficiency(SAhµ)is V>t>*** this approach,we combined the Orthogonal Array design with Grey Relational *** a result of that,the level of each operating conditions which optimizes both process responses(temperature difference,Δt and Solar air heater efficiency,SAhµ)can be specified with a minimum number of tests compared with classic Grey Relational *** optimal operating conditions of a SAh for multiple performance characteristics are determined as t2,M2,and V2,respectively,which are in congruence with the experimental results.

In order to improve and stabilize the magnetic properties of nanocomposite Nd2Fe14B/α-Fe magnetic alloys by a compositional adjustment, small amount of Dy and/or Co was added to Nd9Fe84B7 alloys. DtA analysis on the amorphous of the alloys took place as the soft magnetic phases were crystallized, and then the hard magnetic Nd2Fe14B was precipitated from them. While α-Fe and a metastable 1:7 (tbCu7-type) phase were formed simultaneously in Dy and Co-free alloys, they were crystallized separately at different temperatures after Dy or Co was added. this phase separation occurred more clearly in the Dy-treated alloys and the other soft magnetic phase Fe3B was also stabilized by Dy and/or Co. the 1: 7 phase that was stabilized by Dy and/or Co was not eliminated at 700 ℃, decreasing magnetic properties of the alloys. It was eventually disappeared above 725 ℃, but Fe3B was not eliminated even at 750 ℃ when Dy was added more than 0.5 at% or Co was added more than 2.0 at%. Amount of Nd2Fe14B in the alloys tended to increase as Dy addition increased,whereas Co addition did not lead to any appreciable change in the ratio of α-Fe and Nd2Fe14B. Moreover, Dy addition apparently increased coercivity of an alloy while Co addition had a beneficial effect on remanence. the grains in the Dytreated alloys were usually finer than those in the Co-treated alloys. the grain size of both α-Fe and Nd2Fe14B in the alloys exhibiting mr ≥ 0.72 was in the range of 20 ～ 40 nm or even larger 50 nm, which is larger than the theoretical optimum size ( ～ 10 nm). typical magnetic properties obtained from a Nd7.5Dy1.5Fe82.5Co1.5B7 alloy annealed for 12 min at 725 ℃were ihc=4.85 kOe, Br= 11.32 kG, (Bh)max = 15.73 MGOe, and mr=0.73.

the aim of this work is to provide a phenomenological analysis of the contribution of D^0 meson to K*(892)~0π^+π^-(K*(892)~0-→π^+K^-), K^-π^+ω(ω-→π^+π^-π~0) and K^-π^+?(?(1020)-→ K^+K^-) quasi-three-body decays. the analysis of mentioned multi-body decays is such as to factorize into the three-body decay and several channels observed. hadronic three-body decays receive both resonant and non-resonant contribution. Based on the factorization method, there are tree and emission annihilation diagrams for these decay modes. In the case of D^0 to vector pseudoscalar states appeared in factored terms, the matrix elements of the vector and axial vector currents between the D^0 and PV mesons can be computed by using D^(*+)pole. Considering the non-resonant and resonant amplitude in our computation,the theoretical values of the branching ratio are(9.78 ± 0.46) × 10^(-3),(2.74 ± 0.17) × 10^(-2), and(3.53 ± 0.23) × 10^(-5), while the experimental results of them are(9.9 ±2.3) × 10^(-3),(2.7 ± 0.5) × 10^(-2), and(4 ± 1.7) × 10^(-5) respectively. Comparing computational analysis values with experimental values show that our results are in approximately agreement with them.

hexaquarks constitute a natural extension of complex quark systems,just as tetra-and pentaquarks *** this end,the current status of d^(*)(2380)in both experiment and theory is *** high-precision meas-urements in the nucleon-nucleon channel and analyses thereof have established d^(*)(2380)as an indisputable reson-ance in the long-sought dibaryon *** features of this I(J^(P))=0(3^(+))state are its narrow width and deep binding relative to the 0(1232)0(1232)*** decay branchings favor theoretical calculations predict-ing a compact hexaquark nature of this *** review the current status of experimental and theoretical studies on d^(*)(2380)as well as new physics aspects it may bring in *** addition,we review the situation at the 0(1232)N and N^(*)(1440)N thresholds,where evidence for a number of resonances of presumably molecular nature has been found-similar to the situation in charmed and beauty ***,we briefly discuss the situation of dibaryon searches in the flavored quark sectors.

to understand the deformational behaviours of geosynthetics-reinforced soil retaining walls(GRS RWs),a series of plane-strain shaking table tests was conducted on retaining wall *** backfill of the models was made of poorly graded *** and strains in the gravelly backfill induced by seismic loading are recorded in real time,which are of importance to understand the seismic strength and stability of the GRS RW systems,as strain localisation development in the backfill and foundation is related to the degree of strength degradation of the *** the present study,we aimed at quantifying the induced deformations of the GRS RW models due to *** image correlation(DIC)technique was then employed to analyse and provide full-field deformation and motion images with the *** is demonstrated that,unlike conventional contact devices that are yet limited to provide quantities of a singular and fixed location,DIC provides deformation and motion of the area of interests to reveal the evolution of localisation.

Developing anatase/rutile phase-junction in ti O_(2)to construct Z-scheme system is quite effective to improve its photoelectrochemical *** this work,the anatase/rutile phase-junction Ag/ti O_(2)nanocomposites are developed as photocathodes for hydrogen *** optimized Ag/ti O_(2)nanocomposite achieves a high current density of 1.28 m A cm-2,an incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency(IPCE)of 10.8%,an applied bias photon-to-current efficiency(ABPE)of 0.32 at 390 nm and a charge carriers’lifetime up to 2000 *** enhancement on photoelectrochemical activity can be attributed to:(ⅰ)the generated Z-scheme system in the anatase/rutile phase-junction Ag/ti O_(2)photocathode enhances the separation,diffusion and transformation of electron/hole pairs inside the structure,(ⅱ)Ag nanodots modification in the anatase/rutile phases leading to the tuned band gap with enhanced light absorption and(ⅲ)the formed Schottky barrier after Ag nanodots surface modification provides enough electron traps to avoid the recombination of photogenerated electrons and *** results here suggest that developing phase-junction nanocomposite as photocathode will provide a new vision for their enhanced photoelectrochemical generation of hydrogen.

CF4 gas emitted in the semiconductor and display manufacturing process is a very harmful greenhouse *** must be removed or converted safely due to its extreme *** a CF4 decomposition system using a thermal plasma scrubber was commercialized,its removal efficiency is *** this work,a numerical analysis of CF4 decomposition in the thermal plasma scrubber was carried out in order to propose an efficient decomposition *** decomposition and recombination temperatures of CF4 were analyzed using thermodynamic equilibrium *** chemical reaction of CF4 decomposition into carbon and fluorine gas was considered in this numerical *** injection position and angle of the CF4 were controlled in order to enhance the decomposition *** vertical injection of CF4 near the torch exit improved the mixing of the CF4 with the thermal plasma *** addition,it was confirmed that the high temperature region expanded due to a vortex generated by strong turbulence in the bottleneck-shaped *** a result,it is revealed that the CF4 injection location and the reactor configuration are the most important factors in improving the decomposition rate.
