2022年,《深入打好城市黑臭水体治理攻坚战实施方案》发布,要求努力解决河流雨后黑臭和雨季河流断面水质下降问题,力争到2025年,进水BOD浓度高于100毫克/升的城市生活污水处理厂规模占比达90%以上,城市生活污水集中收集率达到70%以上。水行业正面临着防止雨后河流返黑和改善雨季河流水质等新任务。因此,结合近年来成绩、实践和欧美的经验教训,提出和讨论了与进一步改善网-厂-水体城市污水系统升级改造及运行效率相关的四个问题:分流制管网有没有外(雨)水入侵和溢流、污水处理厂的进水浓度应多高、为什么部分污水处理厂需局部扩容、为什么污水管道中流速低于自净流速,并在此基础上,对相关工作提出了建议。

Female Infertility and Obesity across the United States—A Geographic Cross-Sectional Analysis

This cross-sectional study investigates a connection between female infertility and obesity across various regions of the United States, utilizing data from the NIh’s “All of Us” Researcher Workbench. Analysis suggested that the Southern region exhibited the highest percentage of concurrently infertile and obese females at 32.3%, in contrast to the lowest in the Western region at 28.7%. The findings underscore the significant regional disparities in obesity-related infertility, particularly in medically underserved areas where healthcare access is limited. The study highlights the urgent need for targeted public health interventions, particularly in the Southern United States, to address the rising prevalence of obesity and its impact on infertility. Further, these results advocate for enhanced public health education and policies aimed at improving healthcare accessibility, with the goal of mitigating the adverse effects of obesity on reproductive health.

Background:Skeletal muscle energetics decline with age,and physical activity(PA)has been shown to offset these declines in older ***,many studies reporting these effects were based on self-reported PA or structured exercise ***,we examined the associations of accelerometry-measured and self-reported PA and sedentary behavior(SB)with skeletal muscle energetics and explored the extent to which PA and sedentary behavior would attenuate the associations of age with.m.scle ***:As part of the Study of muscle,mobility and Aging,enrolled older adults(n=879),810(age=76.4±5.0 years old,mean±SD;58%women)had maximal muscle oxidative capacity measured ex vivo via high-resolution re spirometry of permeabilized myofibers(maximal oxidative phosphorylation(maxOXPhOS))and in vivo by ^(31)phosphorus magnetic resonance spectroscopy(maximal adenosine triphosphate(ATP_(max))).Accelerometry-measured sedentary behavior,light activity,and moderate-to-vigorous PA(mVPA)were assessed using a wrist-worn ActiGraph GT9X over 7 ***-reported sedentary behavior,mVPA,and all PA were assessed with the Community healthy Activities model Program for Seniors(Ch.m.S)*** regression models with progressive covariate adjustments evaluated the associations of sedentary behavior and PA with.m.scle energetics,as well as the attenuation of the age/muscle energetics association by mVP A and sedentary *** a sensitivity analysis,we also examined activPAL-measured daily step count and time spent in sedentary behavior and their associations with.m.scle ***:Every 30 min/day more of ActiGraph.m.asured mVPA was associated with 0.65 pmol/(s×mg)higher maxOXPhOS and 0.012 mm/s higher ATP_(max)after adjusting for age,site/technician,and sex(pht activity was not associated with.m.xOXPhOS or ATP_(max).meanwhile,every 30 min/day spent in ActiGraph.m.asured sedentary behavior was associated with 0.39 pmol/s×mg lower maxOXPhOS and0.

Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma(KIRC)is a malignant tumor that carries a substantial risk of morbidity and *** mmP family assumes a crucial role in tumor invasion and *** study aimed to uncover the mechanistic relevance of the mmP gene family as a therapeutic target and diagnostic biomarker in Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma(KIRC)through a comprehensive approach encompassing both computational and molecular ***,Cytoscape,UALCAN,GEPIA,OncoDB,hPA,cBioPortal,GSEA,TImER,ENCORI,DrugBank,targeted bisulfite sequencing(bisulfite-seq),conventional PCR,Sanger sequencing,and RT-qPCR based analyses were used in the present study to analyze mmP gene family members to accurately determine a few hub genes that can be utilized as both therapeutic targets and diagnostic biomarkers for *** performing STRING and Cytohubba analyses of the 24 mmP gene family members,mmP2(matrix metallopeptidase 2),mmP9(matrix metallopeptidase 9),mmP12(matrix metallopeptidase 12),and mmP16(matrix metallopeptidase 16)genes were denoted as hub genes having highest degree *** analyzing mmP2,mmP9,mmP12,and mmP16 via various TCGA databases and RT-qPCR technique across clinical samples and KIRC cell lines,interestingly,all these hub genes were found significantly overexpressed at mRNA and protein levels in KIRC samples relative to *** notable effect of the up-regulated mmP2,mmP9,mmP12,and mmP16 was also documented on the overall survival(OS)of the KIRC ***,targeted bisulfite-sequencing(bisulfite-seq)analysis revealed that promoter hypomethylation pattern was associated with up-regulation of hub genes(mmP2,mmP9,mmP12,and mmP16).In addition to this,hub genes were involved in various diverse oncogenic *** mmP gene family members(mmP2,mmP9,mmP12,and mmP16)may serve as therapeutic targets and prognostic biomarkers in KIRC.

The corrosion inhibition for carbon steel in circulating cooling water by modified lignosulphonate has been investigated using electroch.m.cal impedance spectroscopy technique. Results show that the inhibition efficiency of modified lignosulphonate GCL2 is a great improvement on that of lignosulphonate. The maximum inhibition efficiency of GCL2 reaches 99.21% at the concentration of 400mg·L^-1 at 303K. The corrosion inhibition of GCL2 is attributed to forming adsorption film on the metal surface for the electroch.m.cal impedance spectroscopy in GCL2 solution shows more than one ***,results also indicate that it is more efficient in stirring solution than in still solution for GCL2 because the constant of adsorption in stirring solution is much larger than that in still solution. The adsorption of inhibitor GCL2 follows Langmuir＇s adsorption isotherm.
