We study the materials that are composed of metals and *** plasmonic and non-plasmonic materials are ordered in geometric arrangements with dimensions that are fractions of the wavelength of light.A theoretical model is developed to simulate the refractive index of these nano-structured electromagnetic materials which support surface plasmon *** contributing to the refractive index sensitivity are explored *** with size parameters smaller by much less than 1 have optical properties accurately predicted by the quasi-electrostatic theory while particles with larger size parameters necessitate *** simulate a type of refractive index material composed of metal and insulating dielectric nano-spheres,which are able to sustain the propagation of infrared or visible frequency electromagnetic waves known as surface plasmon polaritons.

We summarize the recent effective field theory （EFT） studies of low-energy electroweak reactions of astrophysical interest, relevant to big-bang nucleosynthesis. The zero energy astrophysical S（0） factor for the thermal proton radiative capture by deuteron is calculated with pionless EFT. The astrophysical S（0） factor is accurately determined to be S（0）=0.243 eV·b up to the leading order （LO）. At zero energies, magnetic transition M1 gives the dominant contribution. The M1 amplitude is calculated up to the LO. A good, quantitative agreement between theoretical and experimental results is found for all observables. The demonstrations of cutoff independent calculation have also been presented.

The astrophysical S-factor of the 4he＋12C radiative capture is calculated in the potential model at the energy range 0.1-2.0 MeV. Radiative capture 12C（α,γ） 16O is extremely relevant for the fate of massive stars and determines if the remnant of a supernova explosion becomes a black hole or a neutron star. Because this reaction occurs at low energies, the experimental measurements are very difficult and perhaps impossible. In this paper, radiative capture of the 12C（α,γ） 16O reaction at very low energies is taken as a case study. In comparison with other theoretical methods and available experimental data, good agreement is achieved for the astrophysical S-factor of this process.

A new method employing magnetic nanoparticles Fe3O4 as a catalyst and h2O2 as a green oxidant is developed for the oxidative thiocyanation of aromatic amines, anisols and activated phenols with high yields under mild reaction conditions. The catalyst could be easily recovered from the reaction mixture using an external magnet and reused in several reaction cycles without loss of activity.

Submerged arc welding（SAW）is one of the main welding processes with high deposition rate and high welding *** welding method is extensively used in welding large-diameter gas transmission pipelines and high-pressure *** welding of such structures,the selection process parameters has great influence on the weld bead geometry and consequently affects the weld *** on Fuzzy logic and NSGA-II（Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm-II）algorithm,a new approach was proposed for weld bead geometry prediction and for process parameters ***,different welding parameters including welding voltage,current and speed were set to perform SAW under different conditions on API X65 steel ***,the designed Fuzzy model was used for predicting the weld bead geometry and modeling of the *** obtained mean percentage error of penetration depth,weld bead width and height from the proposed Fuzzy model was 6.06%,6.40% and 5.82%,*** process parameters were then optimized to achieve the desired values of convexity and penetration indexes simultaneously using NSGA-II *** a result,a set of optimum vectors（each vector contains current,voltage and speed within their selected experimental domains）was presented for desirable values of convexity and penetration indexes in the ranges of（0.106,0.168）and（0.354,0.561）respectively,which was more applicable in real conditions.

Structural, magnetic and electrical properties of the La0.7Ca0.3Co1–xMnxO3（x=0, 0.7 and 1） samples prepared by a simple method were systematically studied and it was found that the crystal structure was transformed from rhombohedral for La0.7Ca0.3CoO3（LCCO） and La0.7Ca0.3Co0.3Mn0.7O3（LCCMO） samples to orthorhombic for La0.7Ca0.3MnO3（LCMO） sample. The AC magnetic susceptibility measurements showed that LCCO sample underwent a transition from paramagnetic（PM） to ferromagnetic（FM） phase at Curie temperature, TC^155 K and below Curie temperature, the glassy ferromagnetism nature was observed. In LCCMO sample,clear evidence of spin glass（SG） state was observed at low temperature. PM-FM phase transition at about TC^260 K and long range FM order at low temperatures were observed in LCMO sample. Both the LCCO and LCCMO samples exhibited insulating behavior in the whole range of measuring temperature whereas the LCMO sample underwent a clear metal-insulator（MI） transition at about TMI^263 K, corresponding to Curie temperature. Metallic region of ρ（T） curve of the LCMO sample was fitted to the model of electron-electron and electron-magnon scattering. The charge carrier transport behavior in all the samples was compared based on polaronic models.

The cross section for a neutron-deuteron （nd） radiative capture is calcu-lated using the pionless effective field theory including isospin symmetry breaking（ISB） corrections up to higher order. The triton is studied as a three-body bound stateand one has to take into account various ISB effects, relativistic corrections and ex-ternal electromagnetic currents. The isospin violation in nd radiative capture is im-proved compared to the one at NLO and N2LO. The cross section is determined to beσtot = [0.505 ± 0.003] mb up to N2LO. A satisfactory agreement between theory andexperiment for the calculated cross section has been found by insertion of three-bodyforces and ISB effects.

The two 3h＋4he and 3he＋4he fusion reactions at low energies are usually viewed as an approximate external capture process. We study the 4he（3h,γ）rLi and 4he（She,γ）7Be reactions in a cluster model, which can take into account two- and three-body electromagnetic currents, using minimal substitution in the explicit momentum dependence of the two- and three-cluster interactions. Our main goal is to explore how the cross section of the low-energy 3h＋4he or 3he＋4he capture reactions depends on energy. The astrophysical S-factors for these reactions are calculated at very low energies. We construct the conserved realistic Argonne v18 for two nucleons and Urbana IX or Tucson-Melbourne three-cluster interactions, which are considered for calculation. We also calculate the binding energies and the structural properties of a hq-4he or 3he＋4 he systems. The binding energies are found to be -37.72 （-36.32） MeV and -39.35 （-37.43） MeV, with （without） three-body interactions for 7Be and 7 Li, in satisfactory agreement with other theoretical results and experimental data, respectively.
