high-performance poly(aromatic pyridine) copolymers with crown ether moieties for high temperature polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells

This study concentrates on the development of high temperature polymer electrolyte membranes（hT-PEMs）, which are essential components for hT-PEM fuel cells（hT-PEMFCs）. Although the phosphoric acid（PA）-doped polybenzimidazole（PBI） has been regarded as the successful hT-PEM, this system still suffers from several challenges, including the use of carcinogenic monomers, complex synthesis procedures, and poor solubility in organic solvents. To develop more cost-effective, readily synthesized and high-performance alternatives, this study employs a simply superacid-catalyzed Friedel-Crafts reaction to synthesize a series of poly（triphenyl-co-dibenzo-18-crown-6 pyridine） copolymers, denoted as P(TPx%-co-CEy%), using ptriphenyl, dibenzo-18-crown-6 and 4-acetylpyridine as monomers. The copolymerized hydrophilic and bulky crown ether unites introduce large free volumes and multiple interaction sites with PA molecules, as elucidated by theoretical *** microphase separation structures are formed as confirmed by atomic force microscope（AFM）, transmission electron microscopy（TEM） and small-angle X-ray scattering（SAXS）. Thus P(TPx%-co-CEy%) membranes exhibit excellent PA absorption and proton conduction abilities. For example, after immersing in 85 wt% PA at 30 °C, the P(TP91%-co-CE9%) membrane achieves a PA doping content of 205% and a high conductivity of 0.138 S cm-1at 180 °C, while maintaining a tensile strength of 7.5 MPa at room temperature. Without humidification and backpressure, the peak power density of an h2-O2cell equipped with P(TP91%-co-CE9%)/205%PA reaches nearly 1200 mW cm-2, representing one of the highest performances reported for PA-doped hT-PEMs to date. This work demonstrates the enormous potential of poly（triphenyl-co-crown ether pyridine） membranes in the hT-PEMFC applications.

Co@C-N as an electronic mediator anchored with Cu2O nanoparticles enables efficient photoreduction of CO2 to CO with nearly 100% selectivity

Solar-driven CO2conversion into value-added chemical provides an attractive strategy for sustainable development. however,the enhanced CO2photoreduction performance with target product selectivity remains a major challenge. here, we develop a novel strategy involving Cu2O nanoparticles in situ grown on the surface of ZIF-67-derived Co@C-N nanocages （CC） to create abundant active sites and appropriate heterointerfaces. A remarkable CO selectivity of 95.7%with a yield of 117.39μmol g-1h-1and an apparent quantum efficiency as high as 1.88%at 420 nm was obtained over CC-60 catalyst in pure water, which was 87.6times higher than that of pure Cu2O. Theoretical calculations and experiments indicated that Co@C-N nanocages as charge mediator not only rapidly trap photogenerated electrons to promote charge separation efficiency, but also regulate the d-band center of Cu atoms to move to the Fermi energy level, thereby optimizing the reaction kinetics to facilitate the highly selective conversion of the key intermediate *CO desorption to CO.

AZD1775 synergizes with SLC7A11 inhibition to promote ferroptosis

Tumor suppressor p53-mediated cell cycle arrest and DNA damage repair may exert cytoprotective effects against cancer therapies, including WEE1 inhibition. Considering that p53 activation can also lead to multiple types of cell death, the role of this tumor suppressor in WEE1 inhibitor-based therapies remains disputed. In this study, we reported that nucleolar stress-mediated p53 activation enhanced the WEE1 inhibitor AZD1775-induced ferroptosis to suppress lung cancer growth. Our findings showed that AZD1775 promoted ferroptosis by blocking cystine uptake, an action similar to that of Erastin. Meanwhile, inhibition of WEE1 by the WEE1 inhibitors or si RNAs induced compensatory upregulation of SLC7A11, which conferred resistance to ferroptosis. Mechanistically, AZD1775 prevented the enrichment of h3K9me3, a histone marker of transcriptional repression, on the SLC7A11 promoter by repressing the expression of the histone methyltransferase SETDB1, thereby enhancing NRF2-mediated SLC7A11 transcription. This finding was also validated using the h3K9me3 inhibitor BRD4770. Remarkably, we found that the nucleolar stress-inducing agent Actinomycin D(Act. D) inhibited SLC7A11 expression by activating p53, thus augmenting AZD1775-induced ferroptosis. Moreover, the combination of AZD1775 and Act. D synergistically suppressed wild-type p53-harboring lung cancer cell growth both in vitro and in vivo. Altogether, our study demonstrates that AZD1775 promotes ferroptosis by targeting cystine uptake but also mediates the adaptive activation of SLC7A11 through the WEE1-SETDB1 cascade and NRF2-induced transcription, and inhibition of SLC7A11 by Act. D boosts the anti-tumor efficacy of AZD1775 by enhancing ferroptosis in cancers with wild-type p53.

On the basis of the framework of systematic science of alloys （SSA）, the basic information such as states, volumes, and potential energies of characteristic atoms in hcp Ti-Al system have been determined. The average atomic state of the hcp Ti3Al compound consisting of ψ4^Ti and ψ0^Al atoms is 0.75[Ar] （3dn）^0.573 （3dc）^2.1685 （4sc）^0.972 （4sf）^0.3093 ＋ 0.25[Ne] （3sc）^1.32 （3pc）^1.19 （3sf ＋ 3pf）^0.49. The brittleness of the ordered hcp Ti3Al compound has been discussed considering the fundamental factors, which are atomic states, bond networks, potential energy wave planes, and the ratio xTi/xAl. The existence of more pc and more dc directional electrons in the hcp Ti3Al compound lead to considerable brittleness; From bond networks and potential energy wave planes, the hcp Ti3Al compound has poorer ductility than the pure hcp Ti metal and the pure fcc Al metal; The Al-rich hcp Ti3Al ordered type alloys have poorer ductility than the Ti-rich hcp Ti3Al ordered type alloys.

Thermally triggered topological polymerization in diacetylene-functionalized covalent organic framework toward enhanced memristive properties

The development of stimuli-responsive switching memory devices and the elucidation of their switching mechanisms in specific environments are crucial for advancing the field of molecular electronics. herein, we propose two distinct two-dimensional covalent organic frameworks (COFs), namely Py-EDA and Py-BDA, incorporating acetylene (-C≡C-) or diacetylene(-C≡C-C≡C-) moieties, respectively, targeting fabricate memory devices exhibiting stimuli-responsive switching *** findings demonstrate that the incorporation of acetylene units effectively modulates the electronic band structure and enhances the degree ofπ-conjugation, resulting in devices that exhibit typical bipolar nonvolatile memory performance. Notably,upon thermal treatment, the memory behavior of the ITO/Py-BDA/Ag device transitions to a write-once-read-many-times(WORM) mode, displaying decreased SET voltage, increased ON/OFF current ratio, and remarkable retention reliability and cycle stability. This switching behavior is attributed to the occurrence of interlayer solid-state topological polymerization at 350℃, leading to the transformation of diacetylene columnar arrays into enyne chains within Py-BDA, thereby further promoting interlayer charge transfer and separation.

Cyclic behavior of reinforced sand under principal stress rotation

Oximes （R1R2C=NOh） are nitrogen-containing chemical constituents that are formed in species representing all kingdoms of life. In plants, oximes are positioned at important metabolic bifurcation points between general and specialized metabolism. The majority of plant oximes are amino acid-derived metabolites formed by the action of a cytochrome P450 from the CYP79 family. Auxin, cyanogenic glucosides, glucosinolates, and a number of other bioactive specialized metabolites including volatiles are produced from oximes. Oximes with the E configuration have high biological activity compared with Z-oximes. Oximes or their derivatives have been demonstrated or proposed to play roles in growth regulation, plant defense, pollinator attraction, and plant communication with the surrounding environment. In addition, oxime-derived products may serve as quenchers of reactive oxygen species and storage compounds for reduced nitrogen that may be released on demand by the activation of endogenous turnover pathways. As highly bioactive molecules, chemically synthesized oximes have found versatile uses in many sectors of society, especially in the agro- and medical sectors. This review provides an update on the structural diversity, occurrence, and biosynthesis of oximes in plants and discusses their role as key players in plant general and specialized metabolism.

A STUDY OF TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENT VALENCE BOND STRUCTURE OF TITANIUM

On the basis of energy and shape method for the determination of the valence bond （ VB ） structures of crystal, the valence bond structure of titanium is redetermined at room temperature and calculated in the whole temperature range of 0-1943K. The outer shell electronic distribution of Ti is ec^29907. （sc^0.4980 ＋ dc^2.4927） ef^1.0098 in crystal. The temperature dependences of the VB structures of hcp and bcc phases are the same. The VB structures of hcp and bcc phases monotonically increase or decrease with the increase in temperature, but show discontinuous changes at the phase-transformation temperature 1155K.

The risk of flammability is an unavoidable issue for gel polymer electrolytes(GPEs).Usually,flameretardant solvents are necessary to be used,but most of them would react with anode/cathode easily and cause serious interfacial instability,which is a big challenge for design and application of nonflammable ***,a nonflammable GPE(SGPE)is developed by in situ polymerizing trifluoroethyl methacrylate(TFMA)monomers with flame-retardant triethyl phosphate(TEP)solvents and LiTFSI–LiDFOB dual lithium *** is strongly anchored to PTFMA matrix via polarity interaction between-P=O and-Ch_(2)CF_(3).It reduces free TEP molecules,which obviously mitigates interfacial reactions,and enhances flame-retardant performance of TEP *** TEP molecules are also inhibited in solvation of Li^(+),leading to anion-dominated solvation sheath,which creates inorganic-rich solid electrolyte interface/cathode electrolyte interface *** coordination structure changes Li^(+)transport from sluggish vehicular to fast structural transport,raising ionic conductivity to 1.03 mS cm^(-1) and transfer number to 0.41 at 30℃.The Li|SGPE|Li cell presents highly reversible Li stripping/plating performance for over 1000 h at 0.1 mA cm^(−2),and 4.2 V LiCoO_(2)|SGPE|Li battery delivers high average specific capacity>120 mAh g^(−1) over 200 *** study paves a new way to make nonflammable GPE that is compatible with Li metal anode.
