The vibration suppression analysis of a simply-supported laminated composite beam with magnetostrictive layers resting on visco-Pasternak’s foundation is *** constant gain distributed controller of the velocity feedback is utilized for the purpose of vibration *** formulation of displacement field is proposed according to Euler-Bernoulli’s classical beam theory(ECBT),Timoshenko’s first-order beam theory(TFBT),Reddy’s third-order shear deformation beam theory,and the simple sinusoidal shear deformation beam ***’s principle is utilized to give the equations of motion and then to describe the vibration of the current *** on Navier’s approach,the solution of the dynamic system is *** effects of the material properties,the modes,the thickness ratios,the lamination schemes,the magnitudes of the feedback coefficient,the position of magnetostrictive layers at the structure,and the foundation modules are extensively studied and discussed.

Effects of rotation and magnetic field on the nonlinear peristaltic flow of a second-order fluid in an asymmetric channel through a porous medium

In this paper, the effects of both rotation and magnetic field of the peristaltic transport of a second-order fluid through a porous medium in a channel are studied analytically and computed numerically. The material is represented by the constitutive equations for a second-order fluid. Closed-form solutions under the consideration of long wavelength and low Reynolds number is presented. The analytical expressions for the pressure gradient, pressure rise, friction force, stream function, shear stress, and velocity are obtained in the physical domain. The effects of the non-dimensional wave amplitude, porosity, magnetic field, rotation, and the dimensionless time-mean flow in the wave frame are analyzed theoretically and computed numerically. Numerical results are given and illustrated graphically in each case considered. Comparison was made with the results obtained in the presence and absence of rotation, magnetic field, and porosity. The results indicate that the effects of the non-dimensional wave amplitude, porosity, magnetic field, rotation, and the dimensionless time-mean flow are very pronounced in the phenomena.

本文研究了湿热荷载作用下自适应夹芯板在黏弹性介质中的振动.简单支撑的夹芯板包含三种类型的层:纤维增强层、两个磁致伸缩致动器和黏弹性面.结构的顶部和底部建模为Kelvin-Voigt黏弹性模型.基于板理论,主要振动模式应用汉密尔顿原理.数值算例研究了各种参数对湿热振动特性的影响,如厚度比、长径比、黏弹性与磁致伸缩层厚度比、模态、黏弹性基体刚度和阻尼系数、层压方案、反馈系数大小、磁致伸缩层位置、黏弹性结构阻尼、温升和水分浓度的程度.研究结果表明温度和湿度浓度是影响振动的主要因素.对于在湿热荷载作用下板的设计,上述研究结果有助于智能结构的开发与应用并控制其在这种环境条件下的振动.

Influence of Combustion Chamber design Parameters and Intake Environments on Spark Ignition Engine Performance and Exhaust Gas Emission

In the present paper, the effect of the combustion chamber design parameters on the improvement of combustion efficiency (the heat generated inside the combustion chamber) and the enhancement in the pollution rates (heat emissions) from a four-stroke, spark-ignition engine has been studied experimentally and theoretically. Two different programs, Gaseq and Ansys, were used to simulate the effect of the combustion chamber shape, turbulent kinetic energy, intake temperature, intake pressure, parity ratio, compression ratio, and engine speed on reducing specific fuel consumption in the engine, reducing carbon dioxide emissions, and increasing overall engine efficiency. The results showed increasing the intake temperature increased the amount of heat produced in the combustion chamber. This leads to increases in the overall efficiency of the engine, but leads to increasing the carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions. Increasing the intake pressure has a positive effect on the combustion temperature and pressure, but it has a negative effect on carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides. Raising the pressure ratio improved the overall efficiency of the engine by increasing the combustion heat, but increasing specific fuel consumption and emissions. Also, increasing the engine speed above the permissible limit has an adverse effect on the spraying speed due to the piston speed being higher than the flame speed, which leads to a reduction in the engine brake torque. An increase in the compression ratio leads to higher fluid pressure and output capacity, but combustion methods occur. An increase in the kinetic energy of the turbulence leads to good combustion. A bowl in a piston has the highest rate of rotation and rotation compared to flat and hemispherical pistons. That is, the design of the cylinder head of this type leads to an improvement in the combustion efficiency and thus the efficiency of the engine.
