The shaowu-Nanping-Pingtan deep seismic sounding profile is located in northern Fujian Province. high-quality seismic sounding data were acquired by five large explosive blasts received by 133 digital seismic instruments along the profile. Based on seismic facies analysis and travel-time picking on shot record sections, a model of the velocity structure of upper crust was developed by finite-difference tomography of the first breaks; the 2-D P-wave velocity structure and tectonic characteristics of the crust were interpreted further by fitting of waveforms and seismic travel times. The results show that the top of the crystal- line basement is buried at depths of 2.0-4.0 kin, with the deepest buried up to 4.0 km within the Fuzhou Basin. The Moho in- terface was found to be deeper in the west and shallower in the east （i.e., 30.0 km near the coast, increasing to 33.0 km north- westward）. The lower crust on the east side of the Zhenghe-haifeng Fault Zone has a smoothly varying gradient structure, whereas on the west side it has two distinct layers with a boundary between those layers at a depth of 23 km. seismic velocities on the west side are generally lower than on the east side; a low velocity layer is observed with a lowest speed of 6.25 km/s at a depth of 22 km on the west side, which may consist of partially molten material. The Zhenghe-haifeng Fault is a deep crustal fault, and should be a channel for deep material upwelling; it has a direct relationship with multiple stages of continental tectonic movements in southern China and with multiple magmatic events that started in the Proterozoic and ended in the of late Tertiary in Fujian.

China clay was employed as an adsorbent for the removal of Mg 2+ from water at ph 7.0 within the temperature range of 303～328 K. The linearity of the plots indicated Langmuir type isotherms. The reaction was exothermic. A maximum removal of 35% was obtained at 0.50 mmol L -1 metal concentration and a ph of 7.0 at 303 K. The h + rel /Mg 2+ ads ratio changed from a fractional value to 2.5. strong chemical bondings took place between oxygen atom of the surface and Mg 2+ , resulting in a surface complex species. Temperature had a significant effect on h + rel , and the stability constants also increased with increasing temperature.

Recently there has been growing interest in topological insulators or the quantum spin hall （Qsh） phase, which are insulating materials with bulk band gaps but have metallic edge states that are formed topologically and robust against any non-magnetic impurity [1]. In a three-dimensional material, the two-dimensional surface states correspond to the edge states （topological metal） and their intriguing nature in terms of electronic and spin structures have been experimentally observed in bulk Bi1-xsbx single crystals [2,3,4]. however, if we want to know the transport properties of these topological metals, high purity samples as well as very low temperature will be needed because of the contribution from bulk states or impurity effects. In a recent report, it was also shown that an intriguing coupling between the surface and bulk states will occur [5]. A simple solution to this bothersome problem is to prepare a topological metal on an ultrathin film, in which the surface-to-bulk ratio is drastically enhanced.

Incorporation of Te and Gd were done based on the stoicheometric formula PbTi_(0.8-x)Te_(0.2)Gd_(x)O_(3)(PTTeG).TG characterization of green powder revealed the completion of solid state reaction at temperature 450℃.XRD of modified PTTeG powders milled for 10 h was found most suitable as it gives pure single-phase tetragonal *** constant was found as 25 43 at curie temperature of 480℃in the case of 5 wt.%of Gd in *** Coefficient was found as 241×10^(-12)C/N at 39 Kv/cm of poling *** results obtained were comparable and even better than so far reported in similar kind of materials.

Recently added to the therapeutic arsenal against chronic heart failure as a first intention drug,the antidiabetic drug-class sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors(sGLT2i)showed efficacy in decreasing overall mortality,hospitalization,and sudden death in patients of this very population,in whom chronic or acute ischemia count among the first ***,this benefit was observed independently from diabetic status,and benefited both preserved and altered ventricular ejection *** feature,observed in several large randomized controlled trials,suggests additional effects from sGLT2i beyond isolated glycemia ***,both in-vitro and animal models suggest that inhibiting the Na+/h+exchanger(NhE)may be key to preventing ischemia/reperfusion injuries,and by extension may hold a similar role in ischemic damage control and ischemic ***,several other mechanisms may be explored which may help better target those who may benefit most from sGLT2i *** of a large therapeutic margin with few adverse events,ease of prescription and potential pharmacological efficacity,sGLT2i could be candidate for wider *** this review,we aim to summarize all evidence which link sGLT2i and ischemia/reperfusion injuries modulation,by first listing known mechanisms,including metabolic switch,prevention of lethal arrythmias and others,which portend the latter,and second,hypothesize how the former may interact with these mechanisms.

Aging blow fly eggs can be critical to a forensic investigation,but there are currently no forensically useful timelines describing internal anatomical changes in embryological *** is partly due to the lack of an economical,rapid and technically simple histological technique to allow mass production of slides for research and *** present a histological method that uses a slightly modified standard laboratory processing run with 1 h fixation in 10% formalin,2 h softening in Molliflex and haemotoxylin and Eosin (h&E) *** also present a summary of the internal anatomical changes that can be visualized using our technique in the developing eggs of Calliphora vicina Robineau-Desvoidy (Diptera: Calliphoridae).We examined eggs from at least three different females grown at 15 ℃ and sampled at 6 h intervals,and eggs grown at 20 ℃ and sampled at 3 h *** aging trials demonstrated that it is possible to accurately age material grown at 20 ℃ to within 6 h (but attempts to further narrow this interval resulted in errors in one-third of cases).It was also possible to see sufficient anatomical detail to age eggs preserved for forensic casework 5,8,9,10 and 11 years ***,we determined that section quality was improved by 5 s fixation in hot water prior to preservation in ***,hot water fixation for longer than this increased the level of section artefact.

This study investigated the germination behavior and seedling growth of Pycnanthus angolensis *** germination study was carried out in the laboratory and included pretreatment studies and observation of the seed-germination *** each treatment,three replications of 20 seeds were sown in a transparent plastic germination box(12cm×22cm×5cm)lined with moistened filter paper at room *** monitor seedling growth,seedlings were transplanted into pots filled with topsoil and laid out in a completely randomized *** seedlings replicated thrice were measured monthly;and the shoot height,leaf area,and root length,as well as the fresh and dry weights of the seedlings,were *** showed that mechanically scarified seeds exhibited the significantly highest germination percent(83.33%,Pseeds(70.83%),whereas seeds treated with 98%sulphuric acid(h2sO4)displayed the lowest germination percent(1.67).The endospermous seeds exhibited cryptogeal germination,while seeds stored for a month(with or without arils)failed to *** seed germination,radicle protrusion continued with a pseudo-opening of the root,through which the brownish cotyledonary petiole was emitted,thus releasing the plumule at the posterior ***,*** exhibited a slow growth rate,attaining a shoot height of 73 cm within a *** highest positive change in leaf number and area was recorded in the fourth month,a period during which the least change in shoot height *** study concluded that mechanical scarification of the seeds ensured significant and faster germination than chemical scarification or no treatment at ***,*** displayed a cryptogeal germination,with the seedling growth of the tree species observed to be slow.

The focusing properties of azimuthally polarized hyperbolic-cosine-Gaussian (ChG) beam are investigated theoretically by vector diffraction theory. Results show that the intensity distribution in focal region of azimuthally polarized ChG beam can be altered considerably by decentered parameters, and some novel focal patterns may occur for certain case. On increasing decentered parameters, ring shape of focal pattern can evolve into four-peak focal pattern, and azimuthal field component affects focal pattern more significantly than radial field component. Optical gradient force is also calculated to show that the focusing properties may be used in optical tweezers technique.
