The generation of ultrashort high-power light sources in the mid-infrared(mid-IR)to terahertz(Thz)range is of interest for applications in a number of fields,from fundamental research to biology and medicine.Besides conventional laser technology,photon deceleration in plasma wakes provides an alternative approach to the generation of ultrashort mid-IR or Thz pulses.here,we present a photon deceleration scheme for the efficient generation of ultrashort mid-IR or Thz pulses by using an intense driver laser pulse with a relatively short wavelength and a signal laser pulse with a relatively long wavelength.The signal pulse trails the driver pulse with an appropriate time delay such that it sits at the front of the second wake bubble that is driven by the driver pulse.Owing to its relatively long wavelength,the signal pulse will be subjected to a large gradient of the refractive index in the plasma wake bubble.Consequently,the photon deceleration in the plasma wake becomes faster and more efficient for signal pulses with longer wavelengths.This greatly enhances the capacity and efficiency of photon deceleration in the generation of ultrashort high-power light sources in the long-wavelength IR and Thz spectral ranges.

This review paper presents a comprehensive evaluation and forward-looking perspective on the underexplored topic of servicing target objects using spacecraft swarms.Such targets can be known or unknown,cooperative or uncooperative,and pose significant challenges in modern space operations due to their inherent complexity and unpredictability.Successfully servicing space objects is vital for active debris removal and broader on-orbit servicing tasks such as satellite maintenance,repair,refueling,orbital assembly,and construction.Significant effort has been invested in the literature to explore the servicing of targets using a single spacecraft.Given its advantages and benefits,this paper expands the discussion to encompass a swarm approach to the problem.This review covers various single-spacecraft approaches and presents a critical examination of the existing,although limited,body of work dedicated to servicing orbital objects using multiple spacecraft.The focus is also broadened to include some influential studies concerning the characterization,capture,and manipulation of physical objects by general multiagent systems,a subject with significant parallels to the core interest of this manuscript.Furthermore,this article also delves into the realm of simultaneous localization and mapping,highlighting its application within close-proximity operations in space,especially when dealing with unknown uncooperative targets.Special attention is paid to the benefits that this field can receive from distributed multiagent architectures.Finally,an exploration of the promising field of swarm robotics is presented,with an emphasis on its potential to revolutionize the servicing of orbital target objects.Concurrently,a survey of general research directly engaging swarms in the orbital context is conducted.This review aims to bridge the knowledge gap and stimulate further research in the underexplored domain of servicing space targets with spacecraft swarms.

Synergic catalytic effect between active sites and supports greatly determines the catalytic activity for the aerobic oxidative desulfurization of fuel oils.In this work,Ni-doped Co-based bimetallic metal-organic framework(CoNi-MOF)is fabricated to disperse N-hydroxyphthalimide(NhpI),in which the whole catalyst provides plentiful synergic catalytic effect to improve the performance of oxidative desulfurization(ODS).As a bimetallic MOF,the second metal Ni doping results in the flower-like morphology and the modification of electronic properties,which ensure the exposure of NhpI and strengthen the synergistic effect of the overall catalyst.Compared with the monometallic Co-MOF and naked NhpI,the NhpI@CoNi-MOF triggers the efficient activation of molecular oxygen and improves the ODS performance without an initiator.The sulfur removal of dibenzothiophene-based model oil reaches 96.4%over the NhpI@CoNi-MOF catalyst in 8 h of reaction.Furthermore,the catalytic product of this aerobic ODS reaction is sulfone,which is adsorbed on the catalyst surface due to the difference in polarity.This work provides new insight and strategy for the design of a strong synergic catalytic effect between NhpI and bimetallic supports toward high-activity aerobic ODS materials.

Crystalline white organic light-emitting diodes(C-WOLEDs)are promising candidates for lighting and display applications.It is urgently necessary,however,to develop energy-saving and high-efficiency C-WOLEDs that have stable and powerful emission to meet commercial demands.here,we report a crystalline host matrix(ChM)with embedded nanoaggregates(NA)structure for developing high-performance C-WOLEDs by employing a thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)material and orange phosphorescent dopants(phos.-D).The ChM-TADFNA-D WOLED exhibit a remarkable EQE of 12.8%,which is the highest performance WOLEDs based on crystalline materials.The device has a quick formation of excitons and a well-designed energy transfer process,and possesses a fast ramping of luminance and current density.Compared to recently reported high-performance WOLEDs based on amorphous material route,the C-WOLED achieves a low series-resistance Joule-heat loss ratio and an enhanced photon output,demonstrating its significant potential in developing the next-generation WOLEDs.

Jasmonates(JAs),a class of lipid-derived stress hormones,play a crucial role across an array of plant physiological processes and stress responses.Although JA signaling is thought to rely predominantly on the degradation of specific JAZ proteins by SCF^(COI1),it remains unclear whether other pathways are involved in the regulation of JAZ protein stability.here,we report that pUB22,a plant U-box type E3 ubiquitin ligase,plays a critical role in the regulation of plant resistance against helicoverpa armigera and other JA responses in tomato.Whereas COI1 physically interacts with JAZ1/2/5/7,pUB22 physically interacts with JAZ1/3/4/6.pUB22 ubiquitinates JAZ4 to promote its degradation via the 26S proteasome pathway.Importantly,we observed that pub22 mutants showreduced resistance to h.armigera,whereas jaz4 single mutants and jaz1 jaz3 jaz4 jaz6 quadruple mutants have enhanced resistance.The hypersensitivity of pub22 mutants to herbivores could be partially rescued by JAZ4 mutation.Moreover,we found that expression of pUB22 can be transcriptionally activated by MYC2,thus forming a positive feedback circuit in JA signaling.We noticed that the pUB22-JAZ4 module also regulates other JA responses,including defense against B.cinerea,inhibition of root elongation,and anthocyanin accumulation.Taken together,these results indicate that pUB22 plays a crucial role in plant growth and defense responses,together with COI1-regulated JA signaling,by targeting specific JAZs.

This paper investigates the recoil control of the deepwater drilling riser system with nonlinear tension force and energy-bounded friction force under the circumstances of limited network resources and unreliable communication.Different from the existing linearization modeling method,a triangle-based polytope modeling method is applied to the nonlinear riser system.Based on the polytope model,to improve resource utilization and accommodate random data loss and communication delay,an asynchronous gain-scheduled control strategy under a hybrid event-triggered scheme is proposed.An asynchronous linear parameter-varying system that blends input delay and impulsive update equation is presented to model the nonlinear networked recoil control system,where the asynchronous deviation bounds of scheduling parameters are calculated.Resorting to the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method,some solvable conditions of disturbance attenuation analysis and recoil control design are derived such that the resulting networked system is exponentially mean-square stable with prescribed h∞performance.The obtained numerical results verified that the proposed nonlinear networked control method can achieve a better recoil response of the riser system with less transmission data compared with the linear control method.

Consider a pseudo-differential operator T_(a)f(x)=∫_(R^(n))e^(ix,ζ)a(x,ζ)f(ζ)dζwhere the symbol a is in the rough hormander class L^(∞)S_(ρ)^(m)with m∈R andρ∈[0,1].In this note,when 1≤p≤2,if n(ρ-1)/p and a∈L^(∞)S_(ρ)^(m),then for any f∈S(R^(n))and x∈R^(n),we prove that M(T_(a)f)(x)≤C(M(|f|^(p))(x))^(1/p) where M is the hardy-Littlewood maximal operator.Our theorem improves the known results and the bound on m is sharp,in the sense that n(ρ-1)/p can not be replaced by a larger constant.

In this paper,the dynamics(including shadowing property,expansiveness,topological stability and entropy)of several types of upper semi-continuous set-valued maps are mainly considered from differentiable dynamical systems points of view.It is shown that(1)if f is a hyperbolic endomorphism then for eachε>0 there exists a C^(1)-neighborhood U of f such that the induced set-valued map F_(f,U)has theε-shadowing property,and moreover,if f is an expanding endomorphism then there exists a C^(1)-neighborhood U of f such that the induced set-valued map F_(f,U)has the Lipschitz shadowing property;(2)when a set-valued map F is generated by finite expanding endomorphisms,it has the shadowing property,and moreover,if the collection of the generators has no coincidence point then F is expansive and hence is topologically stable;(3)if f is an expanding endomorphism then for eachε>0 there exists a C^(1)-neighborhood U of f such that h(F_(f,U,ε))=h(f);(4)when F is generated by finite expanding endomorphisms with no coincidence point,the entropy formula of F is given.Furthermore,the dynamics of the set-valued maps based on discontinuous maps on the interval are also considered.
