Systematic study of the(n,2n)reaction cross section for^(121)Sb and^(123)Sb isotopes

The cross sections of the^(121)Sb(n,2n)^(120)Sb^(m) and ^(123)Sb(n,2n)^(122)Sb reactions were measured at 12.50,15.79 and 18.87 MeV neutron energies relative to the standard ^(27)Al(n,α)^(24)Na monitor reaction using neutron activation and offline γ-ray *** of the samples was performed at the BARC-TIFR Pelletron Linac Facility,Mumbai,*** quasi-monoenergetic neutrons were generated via the ^(7)Li(p,n)*** model calculations were performed by nuclear reaction codes TALYS(ver.1.9)and EMPIRE(ver.3.2.2)using various input parameters and nuclear level density *** cross sections of the ground and the isomeric state as well as the isomeric cross section ratio were studied theoretically from reaction threshold to 26 MeV *** effect of pre-equilibrium emission is also discussed in detail using different theoretical *** present measured cross sections were discussed and compared with the reported experimental data and evaluation data of the JEFF-3.3,ENDF/B-VIII.0,JENDL/AD-2017 and TENDL-2019 libraries.A detailed analysis of the uncertainties in the measured cross section data was performed using the covariance analysis ***,a systematic study of the(n,2n)reaction cross section for^(121)Sb and^(123)Sb isotopes was also performed within 14-15 MeV neutron energies using various systematic *** work helps to overcome discrepancies in Sb data and illustrate a better understanding of pre-equilibrium emission in the(n,2n)reaction channel.

human pluripotent stem cell(h PSC)-derived progenies are immature versions of cells,presenting a potential limitation to the accurate modelling of diseases associated with maturity or ***,it is important to characterise how closely cells used in culture resemble their native *** order to select appropriate time points of retinal pigment epithelium(RPE)cultures that reflect native counterparts,we characterised the transcriptomic profiles of the h PSC-derived RPE cells from 1-and 12-month *** differentiated the human embryonic stem cell line h9 into RPE cells,performed single-cell RNA-sequencing of a total of 16,576 cells to assess themolecular changes of the RPE cells across these two culture time *** results indicate the stability of the RPE transcriptomic signature,with no evidence of an epithelial–mesenchymal transition,and with the maturing populations of the RPE observed with time in *** of Gene Ontology pathways revealed that as the cultures age,RPE cells upregulate expression of genes involved in metal binding and antioxidant *** might reflect an increased ability to handle oxidative stress as cells *** with native human RPE data confirms a maturing transcriptional profile of RPE cells in *** results suggest that long-term in vitro culture of RPE cells allows the modelling of specific phenotypes observed in native mature *** work highlights the transcriptional landscape of h PSC-derived RPE cells as they age in culture,which provides a reference for native and patient samples to be benchmarked against.

Chaotic Social Group Optimization for Structural Engineering Design Problems

Till now,several novel metaheuristic algorithms are proposed for global *** only specific algorithms have become popular or attracted researchers,who are efficient in solving global optimization problems as well as real-world application *** Social Group Optimization(SGO)algorithm is a new metaheuristic bioinspired algorithm inspired by human social behavior that attracted researchers due to its simplicity and problem-solving *** this study,to deal with the problems of low accuracy and local convergence in SGO,the chaos theory is introduced into the evolutionary process of *** chaotic mapping has certainty,ergodicity,and stochastic property,by replacing the constant value of the self-introspection parameter with chaotic maps,the proposed chaotic social group optimization algorithm increases its convergence rate and resulting *** proposal chaotic SGO is validated through 13 benchmark functions and after that 9 structural engineering design problems have been *** simulated results have been noticed as competent with that of state-of-art algorithms regarding convergence quality and accuracy,which certifies that improved SGO with chaos is valid and feasible.

Enhancement of luminescence intensity and spectroscopic analysis of Eu^(3+) activated and Li^+ charge-compensated Bi_2O_3 nanophosphors for solid-state lighting

The present work reports the synthesis, characterization, photoluminescence and photocatalytic activity of Eu^(3+)(1 mol%-11 mol%) doped and Li^+(0.5 mol%-5 mol%) co-doped Bi_2 O_3 nanophosphors(NPs) by sonochemical method. The average particle size was estimated using powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and is found to be in the range of 30-35 nm. The scanning electron microscopy(SEM) images were highly dependent on sonication time and concentration of epigallocatechin gallate(EGCG) bio-surfactant. The energy gap of doped and co-doped Bi_2 O_3 nanophosphors was estimated using Kubelka-Munk(K-M) function and is found to be in the range of2.9-3.08 eV. The effect of Li+ co-doping on luminescence of optimized Bi_2 O_3:Eu^(3+) was studied and is found about more than 3 fold enhancement of emission intensity. Judd-Ofelt parameters(Ω_2, Ω_4 and Ω_6).transition probabilities(A_T), quantum efficiency(η), luminescence lifetime(τ_(rad)), color chromaticity coordinates(CIE) and correlated color temperature(CCT) values were estimated from the emission spectra and are discussed in detail. The estimated CIE chromaticity co-ordinates are very close to the NTSC(National Television Standard Committee) standard value of red emission. The synthesized NPs show excellent photocatalytic activity of acid red-88 under UV-light irradiation, which can degrade 98.1% in60 min. The decreasing electron-hole pair recombination rate with quick electron transfer ability is predominantly ascribed to the balance between crystallite size, morphology, band gap, defects, surface area, etc. These results show a light for the use of sonochemical route of Bi_2 O_3:Eu^(3+):Li^+ in solid state display and photocatalytic applications.

Dynamic stress concentration in an infinitely long cylindrical cavity due to a point spherical source embedded within a fluid-saturated poroelastic formation of infinite extent

The effects of a harmonically exciting monopole source on an infinitely long cylindrical cavity embedded entirely within a fluid-saturated poroelastic formation of infinite extent are examined theoretically. It is assumed that the source is located outside the cavity at a specified distance from the borehole axis. The magnitudes of the hoop and radial stresses beside the pore pressures exerted on the interface and inside the porous medium surrounding the borehole are calculated and discussed. Biot's poroelastic modeling along with three types of boundary conditions for the cylindrical interface including the ideal fluid, empty borehole, and rigid inclusion with a hard boundary is employed for the analysis. Utilizing a proper translational addition theorem for expressing the incident spherical wave in terms of cylindrical wave expansions, the proposed boundary conditions at the interface are satisfied. Stresses are formulated by means of wave potential functions in a three-dimensional(3D) manner. The effects of the frequency and the radial distance between the source and borehole on the induced stresses are examined for the first cylindrical modes over frequency spectra. Two permeability conditions for the interface and three types of soils for the porous formation are considered throughout the analysis. To give an overall outline of the study, a numerical example is presented. The results clearly indicate that the distance is a key parameter and has considerable effects on the induced stress values. In addition, the interface permeability condition and soil characteristics play an important role in determining the dynamic response of the borehole. Finally,the obtained results are compared with the relevant analyses existing in the literature for some limit cases, and good agreement is achieved.

Modeling the mechanics of calcium regulation in T lymphocyte:A finite element method approach

Global dynamics of a fractional-order SIR epidemic model with memory

In this paper,an investigation and analysis of a nonlinear fractional-order SIR epidemic model with Crowley-Martin type functional response and holling type-II treatment rate are established along the *** existence and stability of the equilibrium points are *** sufficient conditions for the persistence of the disease are ***,a threshold value,Ro,is obtained which determines the stability of equilibria,then model equilibria are determined and their stability analysis is considered by using fractional Routh-hurwitz stability criterion and fractional La-Salle invariant *** fractional derivative is taken in Caputo sense and the numerical solution of the model is obtained by LI scheme which involves the memory trace that can capture and integrate all past ***,by using Lyapunov functional approach,the global dynamics of the endemic equilibrium point is ***,some numerical simulations are performed to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results *** outcome of the study reveals that the applied LI scheme is computationally very strong and effective to analyze fractional-order differential equations arising in disease *** results show that order of the fractional derivative has a significant effect on the dynamic ***,from the results,it is obvious that the memory effect is zero for p=*** the fractional-order p is decreased from 1,the memory trace nonlinearly increases from 0,and its dynamics strongly depends on *** memory effect points out the difference between the derivatives of the fractional-order and integer order.
