Smart computing approach for design and scale-up of conical spouted beds with open-sided draft tubes

Open-sided draft tubes provide an optimal gas distribution through a cross flow pattern between the spout and the annulus in conical spouted *** design,optimization,control,and scale-up of the spouted beds require precise information on operating and peak pressure *** this study,a multi-layer perceptron(MLP)neural network was employed for accurate prediction of these hydrodynamic characteristics.A relatively huge number of experiments were accomplished and the most influential dimensionless groups were extracted using the Buckingham-pi ***,the dimensionless groups were used for developing the MLP model for simultaneous estimation of operating and peak pressure *** iterative constructive technique confirmed that 4-14-2 is the best structure for the MLP model in terms of absolute average relative deviation(AARD%),mean square error(MSE),and regression coefficient(R^(2)).The developed MLP approach has an excellent capacity to predict the transformed operating(MSE=0.00039,AARD%=1.30,and R^(2)=0.76099)and peak(MSE=0.22933,AARD%=11.88,and R2=0.89867)pressure drops.

The infection and its management A high proportion of hepatitis B virus (hBV) infections, which lead to chronicity rather than being resolved, are infections occuring at birth or early childhood. Despite successful vaccination programs, the number of chronic carriers in creases worldwide. hepatocellular carcinoma (hCC) develops late in the course of a chronic infection, with its concomitant overall decrease in viral replication. however, stages associated with a particularly high risk to develop cancer are not described to this date. A still attractive model for the progression of infection points to a persistence of hepatocytes that contain chromosomally integrated, as well as free viral DNA, over hepatocytes containing only free replicating DNA.

Genetically Based Trait Differentiation but Lack of Trade-offs between Stress Tolerance and Performance in Introduced Canada Thistle

Trade-offs between performance and tolerance of abiotic and biotic stress have been proposed to explain both the success of invasive species and frequently observed size differences between native and introduced *** thistle seeds collected from across the introduced North American and the native European range were grown in benign and stressful conditions(nutrient stress,shading,simulated herbivory,drought,and mowing),to evaluate whether native and introduced individuals differ in performance or stress *** additional experiment assessed the strength of maternal effects by comparing plants derived from field-collected seeds with those derived from clones grown in the *** populations tended to be larger in size,but no trade-off of stress tolerance with performance was detected;introduced populations had either superior performance or equivalent trait values and survivorship in the treatment common *** also detected evidence of parallel latitudinal clines of some traits in both the native and introduced ranges and associations with climate variables in some treatments,consistent with recent climate adaptation within the introduced *** results are consistent with rapid adaptation of introduced populations,but,contrary to predictions,the evolution of invasive traits did not come at the cost of reduced stress tolerance.

A new fast two-dimension 8×8 discrete cosine transform （2D 8×8 DCT） algorithm based on the characteristics of the basic images of 2D DCT is presented. The new algorithm computes each DCT coefficient in turn more independently. hence, the new algorithm is suitable for 2D DCT pruning algorithm of pruning away any number of high-frequency components of 2D DCT. The proposed pruning algorithm is more efficient than the existing pruning 2D DCT algorithms in terms of the number of arithmetic operations, especially the number of multiplications required in the computation.

临床上有超过一半以上的三叉神经痛病人需要手术治疗,射频(radio frequency, RF)和球囊压迫(balloon compression, BC)等微创手术方法在临床上广泛应用。但关于两种手术方法的镇痛效果、并发症等方面的比较尚无正式的临床试验。该研究采用随机、双盲、头对头试验方案,评估BC和RF手术方法治疗原发性三叉神经痛的效果。病人随机分为BC组和RF组,术前和术后全程对病人进行疼痛、心理和生活质量评估,主要结果是术后6个月内的疼痛评分(0~10分)及并发症情况。研究在完成一半预估样本后,进行了预先计划的中期分析。结果显示:两组病人疼痛评分无显著性差异;同时,并发症、疼痛对日常生活的影响、神经病理性疼痛症状、情绪评分、镇痛药物使用量和生活质量评分等观察指标两组间比较均无统计学差异。唯有术后30天时点,RF组病人的面部感觉异常症状多于BC组,其他时间点无明显差异。基于以上结果,BC与RF两种手术方法的治疗效果无明显差异,根据实验设计,终止进一步研究观察。

Analysis of Chlorogenic Acid in herbal Medicines by Capillary Electrophoresis

A simple, rapid and accurate capillary zone electrophoresis method was developed for the determination of chlorogenic acid as a marker in traditional Chinese medicines. The buffer solution comprised of 10 mmol/L sodium phosphate and 20 mmol/L boric acid containing 5% ethanol with the ph value adjusted to 7.00. The contents of chlorogenic acid in Flos Lonicerae and Flos Lonicerae containing herbal preparations were determined within 15 min.

The Credit-Risk Decision Mechanism on Fixed Loan Interest Rate with Imperfect Information

In this paper, decision mechanism of credit-risk for banks is studied when the loan interest rate is fixed with asymmetry information in credit market. We give out the designs of rationing and non-rationing on credit risky decision mechanism when collateral value provided by an entrepreneur is not less than the minimum demands of the bank. It shows that under the action of the mechanism, banks could efficiently identify the risk size of the project. Finally, the condition of the project investigation of bank is given over again.

Regulation of thermoelastic properties of concave-packaged DNA adsorption films and its relevant microcantilever detection signals

The packing patterns have close correlation with the thermoelastic properties of DNA adsorption films and the relevant detection signals of *** this paper,we investigate the influence of packing patterns on the thermoelastic properties of DNA adsorption films,the detection signals of microcantilevers and their temperature ***,the Parsegian's empirical potential based on a mesoscopic liquid crystal theory is employed to describe the interaction energy among coarse-grained DNA cylinders;then,the thought experiment method and the force balance method of nonlinear elastic network nodes are combined to characterize the elastic modulus,prestress and thermal expansion coefficient of DNA adsorption films;finally,based on an effective macroscopic continuum model for DNA microbeam deformation,we study the microcantilever resonance frequency shifts caused by DNA adsorptions and the temperature effect on the microcantilever static deflections,*** show that,compared with the convex-packaged,the re-entrant honeycomb packing pattern endows DNA adsorption films with a larger adjustable range of the elastic modulus and prestress,so as to make DNA-microcantilevers having an enhanced dynamic detection signal whereas a weaker response to temperature *** results are expected to provide a new option for the regulation design of DNA composite materials and microbeam sensors.

Equal cross section lateral extrusion (ECSLE) is an effective method realizing pure shear deformation. The influence of friction factor on the deformation uniformity of ECSLE was investigated with rigid plastic finite element method. The result shows that the non-uniform deformation in extrusion is caused mainly by the friction between workpiece and die. The higher the friction factor is, the more uneven plastic deformation resulted in extruded workpiece. The relation curve of deformation uniformity vs. friction factor was drawn based on the analysis result. The curve can be used as a basis of ECSLE process design.
