Enviromics refers to the characterization of micro-and macroenvironments based on large-scale environmental *** providing genotypic recommendations with predictive extrapolation at a site-specific level,enviromics could inform plant breeding decisions across varying conditions and anticipate productivity in a changing ***-based integration of statistics,envirotyping(i.e.,determining environmental factors),and remote sensing could help unravel the complex interplay of genetics,environment,and *** support this goal,exhaustive envirotyping to generate precise environmental profiles would significantly improve predictions of genotype performance and genetic gain in ***,informatics management platforms aggregate diverse environmental datasets obtained using optical,thermal,radar,and light detection and ranging(liDAR)sensors that capture detailed information about vegetation,surface structure,and *** wealth of information,coupled with freely available climate data,fuels innovative enviromics *** enviromics holds immense potential for breeding,a few obstacles remain,such as the need for(1)integrative methodologies to systematically collect field data to scale and expand observations across the landscape with satellite data;(2)state-of-the-art AI models for data integration,simulation,and prediction;(3)cyberinfrastructure for processing big data across scales and providing seamless interfaces to deliver forecasts to stakeholders;and(4)collaboration and data sharing among farmers,breeders,physiologists,geoinformatics experts,and programmers across research *** these challenges is essential for leveraging the full potential of big data captured by satellites to transform 21st century agriculture and crop improvement through enviromics.

Free vibration and buckling analysis of polymeric composite beams reinforced by functionally graded bamboo fbers

Natural fibers have been extensively researched as reinforcement materials in polymers on account of their environmental and economic advantages in comparison with synthetic fibers in the recent *** fibers are renowned for their good mechanical properties,abundance,and short cycle *** beams are one of the fundamental structural components and are susceptible to mechanical loads in engineering applications,this paper performs a study on the free vibration and buckling responses of bamboo fiber reinforced composite(BFRC)beams on the elastic *** different functionally graded(FG)layouts and a uniform one are the considered distributions for unidirectional long bamboo fibers across the *** elastic properties of the composite are determined with the law of *** hamilton’s principle,the governing equations of motion are *** generalized differential quadrature method(GDQM)is then applied to the equations to obtain the *** achieved outcomes exhibit that the natural frequency and buckling load values vary as the fiber volume fractions and distributions,elastic foundation stiffness values,and boundary conditions(BCs)and slenderness ratio of the beam ***,a comparative study is conducted between the derived analysis outcomes for BFRC and homogenous polymer beams to examine the effectiveness of bamboo fibers as reinforcement materials,demonstrating the significant enhancements in both vibration and buckling responses,with the exception of natural frequencies for cantilever beams on the Pasternak foundation with the FG-◇fiber ***,the obtained analysis results of BFRC beams are also compared with those for carbon nanotube reinforced composite(CNTRC)beams found in the literature,indicating that the buckling loads and natural frequencies of BFRC beams are lower than those of CNTRC beams.

A new empirical formula for the astrophysical S-factor has been suggested as a function of the Coulomb interaction parameter,center of mass energy,and barrier *** 22 fusion reactions with ^(40,48)Ca as projectiles were considered for different targets,leading to compound nuclei with atomic and mass numbers varying between 40≤Z≤≤Z≤112 and 88≤A≤27888≤A≤278,*** fusion cross-sections have been estimated using the geometric factor,the Gamow-Sommerfield factor,and the empirical formula for the *** study's findings showed better agreement with those of available experiments when compared to Wong's *** present work leads to a smaller standard deviation value than Wong's formula when used to correlate the experimental data of calcium-induced fusion ***'s formula provides a good approximation of fusion cross-sections when the center of mass energy is below the fusion barrier when compared to above the fusion barrier.

BACKGROUND Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease(MASlD)and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis(MASh)are a growing health burden across a significant portion of the global patient ***,these conditions seem to have disparate rates and outcomes between different ethnic *** combination of MASlD/MASh and type 2 diabetes increases the risk of hepatocellular carcinoma(hCC),and hispanic patients experience the greatest burden,particularly those in South *** To compare outcomes between hispanic and non-hispanic patients in the United States,while further focusing on the hispanic population within Southeast Texas to determine whether the documented disparity in outcomes is a function of geographical circumstance or if there is a more widespread reason that all clinicians must account for in prognostic *** This cohort analysis was conducted with data obtained from TriNetX,llC(“TriNetX”),a global federated health research network that provides access to deidentified medical records from healthcare organizations *** cohort networks were used:University of Texas Medical Branch(UTMB)hospital and the United States national database collective to determine whether disparities were related to geographic regions,like Southeast *** This study findings revealed hispanics/latinos have a statistically significant higher occurrence of hCC,type 2 diabetes mellitus,and liver fibrosis/cirrhosis in both the United States and the UTMB hispanic/latino *** mortality in hispanics/latinos was lower within the United States group and not statistically elevated in the UTMB *** This would appear to support that hispanic patients in Southeast Texas are not uniquely affected compared to the national hispanic population.

Greatly enhanced corrosion/wear resistances of epoxy coating for Mg alloy through a synergistic effect between functionalized graphene and insulated blocking layer

The poor corrosion and wear resistances of Mg alloys seriously limit their potential applications in various *** conventional epoxy coating easily forms many intrinsic defects during the solidification process,which cannot provide sufficient *** the current study,we design a double-layer epoxy composite coating on Mg alloy with enhanced anti-corrosion/wear properties,via the spin-assisted assembly *** outer layer is functionalized graphene(FG)in waterborne epoxy resin(WEP)and the inner layer is Ce-based conversion(Ce)*** FG sheets can be homogeneously dispersed within the epoxy matrix to fill the intrinsic defects and improve the barrier *** Ce film connects the outer layer with the substrate,showing the transition *** corrosion rate of Ce/WEP/FG composite coating is 2131 times lower than that of bare Mg alloy,and the wear rate is decreased by~90%.The improved corrosion resistance is attributed to the labyrinth effect(hindering the penetration of corrosive medium)and the obstruction of galvanic coupling *** synergistic effect derived from the FG sheet and blocking layer exhibits great potential in realizing the improvement of multi-functional integration,which will open up a new avenue for the development of novel composite protection coatings of Mg alloys.

holographic dark energy in non-conserved gravity theory

Recently, reconsidering the Rastall idea T_(μ;νν)^(v)=α_(,μ) through relativistic thermodynamics gives a new form for the scalar field α which led us to construct modern modified theory of gravity debugged ‘non-conserved gravity theory’ Fazlollahi 2023 Euro. Phys. J. C 83 923. This theory unlike other modified theories of gravity cannot directly explain the current acceleration expansion in the absence of the cosmological constant and or existence of other forms of dark energy. hence, in this study we have reinvestigated holographic dark energy Ρ_(X)~h^(2) in the non-conserved theory of gravity. In this context, the density and pressure of dark energy depend on the non-conserved term and density of the dust matter field. As shown, due to non-conservation effects on large-scale structures, unlike the original holographic model, our model onsets an acceleration epoch for the current Universe satisfies observations. Moreover, the interaction and viscous scenarios are studied for this model.

Novel synthesis of stabilized Bi_(1-x-y)Gd_xDy_yO_(1.5) solid electrolytes with enhanced conductivity for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells(SOFCs)

herein,we report the synthesis of a Dy-Gd co-doped cubic phase-stabilized Bi_(2)O_(3) solid electrolyte system via solid-state processing under atmospheric *** with Dy^(3+) and Gd^(3+) has been observed to significantly enhance the densification process during sintering for stabilization purposes,thereby improving the electrical properties of δ-Bi_2O_(3)-type *** synthesized ceramics were characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD),field emission scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(FESEM-EDX),thermal gravimetry/differential thermal analysis(TG/DTA),and the four-point probe technique(4PPT).XRD analysis reveals that the samples Bi_(1-x-y)Gd_(x)Dy_(y)O_(1.5)(y=0.05/x=0.05,0.10,0,15,and 0.20,and x=0.05/y=0.10,0.15,and 0.20) exhibit a stable face-centered cubic δ-phase and a mixed-phase crystallographic *** XRD analysis of the stabilized δ-phase suggests that the prepared oxides show a face-centered cubic(FCC) structure with a space group of *** micrographs reveal that the composition Bi_(0.90)Gd_(0.05)Dy_(0.05)O_(1.5) has no significant ***,an evident increase in the pore formation is observed as the amount of Gd_(2O_(3) increases until it reaches 20%.This finding suggests that dense pellets are formed during the sintering process at 900-1000℃.The DTA analyses were performed to verify the phase stability,which agrees with the XRD *** electrochemical performance of the synthesized Dy-Gd co-doped Bi_2O_(3)solid electrolyte system was evaluated and analyzed in detail by using the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) technique,Based on EIS and conductivity measurements,Bi_(0.75)Gd_(0.20)Dy_(0.05)O_(1.5) exhibits the lowest activation energy of 0.519 eV and the highest conductivity value of 0.398 S/cm at 627℃compared to the other samples;this composition can be used as a solid electrolyte for intermediatetemperature solid oxide fuel cells(SOFCs).

This article focuses on the life and political leadership of an extraordinary woman leader, Gra?a Machel. Gra?a Machel was born in very poor circumstances in rural Mozambique, became a fighter against colonialism, and married to Presidents: firstly, she married Samora Machel, later she married Nelson Mandela. At the same time, she followed her own political career, always promoting a political agenda of education, peace and distribution of wealth. her political leadership is an extraordinary example for leaders in Southern Africa and the world. This psychobiography contributes to expanding the psychobiographies on extraordinary women in political leadership in Southern Africa. Its aim is to present new insights into the life of Gra?a Machel and her political leadership as a woman leader in pan-African contexts from a psychobio-graphical perspective.

Melt extrusion-based additive manufacturing(ME-AM)is a promising technique to fabricate porous scaffolds for tissue engi-neering ***,most synthetic semicrystalline polymers do not possess the intrinsic biological activity required to control cell *** of biomolecules on polymeric surfaces of AM scaffolds enhances the bioactivity of a construct;however,there are limited strategies available to control the surface ***,we report a strategy to tune the surface density of bioactive groups by blending a low molecular weight poly(ε-caprolactone)5k(PCl5k)containing orthogonally reactive azide groups with an unfunctionalized high molecular weight PCl75k at different *** porous three-dimensional(3D)scaf-folds were then fabricated using a high weight percentage(75 wt.%)of the low molecular weight PCl *** a proof-of-concept test,we prepared films of three different mass ratios of low and high molecular weight polymers with a thermopress and reacted with an alkynated fluorescent model compound on the surface,yielding a density of 201-561 pmol/cm^(2).Subsequently,a bone morphogenetic protein 2(BMP-2)-derived peptide was grafted onto the films comprising different blend compositions,and the effect of peptide surface density on the osteogenic differentiation of human mesenchymal stromal cells(hMSCs)was *** two weeks of culturing in a basic medium,cells expressed higher levels of BMP receptor II(BMPRII)on films with the conjugated *** addition,we found that alkaline phosphatase activity was only significantly enhanced on films contain-ing the highest peptide density(i.e.,561 pmol/cm^(2)),indicating the importance of the surface *** together,these results emphasize that the density of surface peptides on cell differentiation must be considered at the cell-material ***,we have presented a viable strategy for ME-AM community that desires to tune the bulk and surface functionality via blending of(m
