Methionine(Met)is an essential and first limiting amino acid in the poultry diet that plays a significant role in chicken embryonic development and *** present study examined the effect of in ovo injection of DL-Met and L-Met sources and genotypes on chicken embryonic-intestinal development and *** eggs of the two genotypes,TETRA-SL layer hybrid(TSL)—commercial layer hybrid and hungarian Partridge colored hen breed(hPC)—a native genotype,were randomly distributed into four treatments for each *** treatment groups include the following:1)control non-injected eggs(NoIn);2)saline-injected(SaIn);3)DL-Met injected(DLM);and 4)L-Met injected(LM).The in ovo injection was carried out on 17.5 d of embryonic development;after hatching,eight chicks per group were sacrificed,and the jejunum was extracted for *** results showed that both DLM and LM groups had enhanced intestinal development as evidenced by increased villus width,villus height,and villus area(Phe *** DLM group had significantly reduced crypt depth,glutathione(GSh)content,glutathione S-transferase 3 alpha(GST3),occludin(OCLN)gene expression and increased villus height to crypt depth ratio in the TSL genotype than the LM group(Phe hPC genotype has overexpressed insulin-like growth factor 1(IGF1)gene,tricellulin(MD2),occludin(OCLN),superoxide dismutase 1(SOD1),and GST3 genes than the TSL genotype(Phese findings showed that in ovo injection of Met enhanced intestinal development,and function,with genotypes responding differently under normal *** also influenced the expression of intestinal antioxidants,tight junction,and growth-related genes.

highly selective production of value-added multicarbon(C2+) products via electrochemical CO2reduction reaction（eCO2RR） on polycrystalline copper（Cu） remains ***,the facile surface modification using poly（α-ethyl cyanoacrylate）(PECA) is presented to greatly enhance the C2+selectivity for eCO2RR over polycrystalline Cu,with Faradaic efficiency（FE） towards C2+products increased from30.1% for the Cu electrode to 72.6% for the obtained Cu-PECA electrode at -1.1 V *** hydrogen electrode（RhE）.Given the well-determined FEs towards C2+products,the partial current densities for C2+production could be estimated to be-145.4 mA cm-2for the Cu-PECA electrode at -0.9 V *** in a homemade flow ***-situ spectral characterizations and theoretical calculations reveal that PECA featured with electron-accepting-C≡N and-COOR groups decorated onto the Cu electrode could inhibit the adsorption of *h intermediates and stabilize the *CO intermediates,given the redistributed interfacial electron density and the raised energy level of d-band center（Ed） of Cu active sites,thus facilitating the C-C coupling and then the C2+selective *** study is believed to be guidable to the modification of electrocatalysts and electrodes with polymers to steer the surface adsorption behaviors of reaction intermediates to realize practical eCO2RR towards value-added C2+products with high activity and selectivity.

Non-carcinogenic health risk assessment of nitrate and fluoride contamination in the groundwater of Noyyal basin,India

The study aims to assess the nitrate and fluoride concentration in groundwater and its adverse effects on human *** 2019,42 groundwater samples were collected from various bore wells within the western Noyyal basin,*** and chloride are the dominant cation and anion,*** nitrate concentration in groundwater samples varies from 2 to 89 mg/L,of which 33.33%are above the permissible limit of 45 mg/L for drinking *** fluoride concentration ranges from 0.2 to 2.4 mg/L,with 28.57%of the samples exceeding the safe value of 1.5 mg/L for drinking *** plots demonstrate that the potential of hydrogen(ph),electrical conductivity(EC),total dissolved solids(TDS),Na^(+)and hCO^(-)_(3)are positively correlated with F^(-),whereas Ca^(2+)is negatively *** Ca-Mg-Cl is the most common water type in the investigated *** Gibbs diagram demonstrates that the interaction between rock and water impacts the groundwater *** the method of the United States Environmental Production Agency(USEPA),this study assesses the non-carcinogenic health risk posed by nitrate and fluoride in different age groups(infants,children,and adults).The values of total hazard index(ThI)vary from 0.59 to 10.07(mean=4.76)for infants,0.36 to 6.23(mean=2.95)for children,and 0.19 to 3.32(mean=1.57)for ***,97.62%,92.86%,and 73.81%of the samples surpass the recommended limit(ThI=1)for infants,children,and adults,***,the health risk assessment(hRA)indicates that infants and children are more susceptible to noncarcinogenic health hazards than *** ThI spatial variation map shows that central and southern regions of the study area have been identified as high health risk areas(ThI>3.0)for all age groups.

About 80% of cowpea seeds are lost along with 30% of their weight after six months of unprotected storage due to attacks by Callosobruchus maculatus. This study aimed at evaluating the effect of applying bioinsecticides on the biological parameters of C. maculatus to reduce its damage to cowpea stocks. Four treatments including an untreated control and three doses of powdery extracts of C. nigricans, Z. zanthoxyloides and h. suaveolens, were compared in a Fischer block with four completely randomized repetitions. One hundred undamaged cowpea seeds were mixed with doses of each extract in Petri dishes and then fed as food substrates to ten pairs of C. maculatus for eight days. The extracts of h. suaveolens, C. nigricans and Z. zanthoxyloides all contain active ingredients including polyphenols, flavonoids, anthocyanins and alkaloids, etc. The extract of Z. zanthoxyloides was found to be more active on adults (100.00% mortality) followed by C. nigricans (98.75% mortality) and h. suaveolens (97.50% mortality) at 80 mg/g. Fecundity per female decreased significantly in the treated batches of 13.82 eggs for h. suaveolens at 10.12 eggs for C. nigricans at a dose of 80 mg/g. Germination rate of seeds was statistically raised to 100% at 60 and 80 mg/g by C. nigricans powder and lowered to 83.00% at 20 mg/g by Z. zanthoxyloides extracts. The application of Z. zanthoxyloides extract would be a less expensive alternative for the sustainable management of C. maculatus in cowpea stocks.

研究目的:观察针刺配合塞来昔布胶囊治疗运动员膝关节创伤性滑膜炎的临床疗效。研究方法:将30例来自吉林省体育运动学校的二级运动员随机分为治疗组和对照组各15例,治疗组采用针刺配合口服塞来昔布胶囊,对照组采用单纯口服塞来昔布胶囊,通过4周的治疗,观察两组治疗前后的VAS积分、膝关节功能评分(Lysholm)和运用肌骨超声观察两组治疗前后膝关节滑膜的厚度和关节积液的深度,将以上数据进行统计、分析和处理,最终得出结论。研究成果:组内比较,两组在治疗后VAS积分均比治疗前明显降低(Pholm评分均较治疗前明显增加(Pholm评分、膝关节滑膜厚度及积液厚度均无差异(P>0.05),具有可比性;治疗后,两组VAS积分、Lysholm评分、膝关节滑膜厚度及积液厚度均有明显差异(P<0.05),且治疗组效果明显好于对照组;治疗组总有效率高于对照组,差异有统计学意义。研究结论:针刺配合塞来昔布胶囊和单纯口服塞来昔布胶囊治疗运动员膝关节创伤性滑膜炎均有疗效,治疗组疗效优于对照组。

Synergistic protection of Si anode based on multi-dimensional graphitic carbon skeletons

Inspired by the natural corn structure,a Si@hollow graphene shell@graphene(Si@GS@G)anode material was prepared in which silicon nanoparticles were preliminarily anchored onto the surface of an elastic graphene shell and further constrained using graphene *** graphene oxide shells with abundant surficial hydrogen bonds,which were synthesized using a novel bottom-up method,were used as an intermediate material to anchor positively charged silicon nanoparticles via electrostatic attraction and achieve a rational spatial *** inner hollow graphene shell anchorage and outer graphene constraint synergistically constituted a porous and robust conductive corn-like *** as-fabricated Si@GS@G anode afforded efficient electron and ion transport pathways and improved structural stability,thereby enhancing Li+storage capability(505 mAh·g^(−1)at 10 A·g^(−1))and extending the lifespan compared to the single hollow graphene shell or graphene sheet-protected Si anode(72%capacity retention after 500 cycles).The improved kinetics of the Si@GS@G anode were investigated using electro impedance spectroscopy,galvanostatic intermittent titration,and pseudocapacitance contribution rate analysis,and the structural evolution was analyzed using ex situ electron *** study proposes a novel hollow graphene oxide shell as an activated intermediate material for designing a porous electrode structure that facilitates an enhanced electrochemical performance.

Resource Allocation Based on SFLA Algorithm for D2D Multicast Communications

Multicast device-to-device(D2D)communication technology is considered as one of the new technologies in the fifth generation(5G)networks that directly addresses the need for content sharing among internet *** fact,when direct communication is available between devices,the spectral efficiency is improved by reusing the licensed cellular *** current studies show that D2D communication increases network capacity and reduces *** order to achieve the alternate capabilities,coordination is required to implement interference *** considered subcarrier allocation for the uplink,in addition to the power control that takes place on the underlay *** completed data rate in single multicast communication is significantly reduced and limited by nodes with lower channel *** this paper,we used Shuffled Frog Leaping Algorithm(SFLA)for resource allocation(RA)in D2D multicast *** compared the results of the SFLA algorithm with the Firefly Algorithm(FA),Ant Colony Optimization(ACO)and Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO);in terms of D2D user throughput,Cellular User(CU)throughput,network average throughput,network interference and signal interference noise ratio(SINR)*** simulation results show that SFLA clearly outperforms other algorithms in terms of data rate under the high pressure of infeasibility.

Geochemical and mineralogical studies were performed in the La Pesca(LP)and Tesoro Altamira(ta)beach sediments,located in the tamaulipas state,northern Gulf of *** main aim of this study is to infer the weathering history and provenance and to discriminate the tectonic environment of the beach *** sediments are composed of quartz with small amounts of accessory minerals such as plagioclase,calcite,orthoclase,microcline,and *** beach sediments are classified as fine-grained and very well sorted,however LP has coarse skewed and leptokurtic sediments,whereas ta has fine-skewed and very leptokurtic *** chemical index of weathering(CIW’)indicates intense weathering in the source *** quartz grain microtextures in the LP and ta are classified into mechanical,chemical,and mechanical/chemical *** features such as fractures,pits,percussion marks,abrasion fatigue,and V-shaped marks favor high-energy littoral,fluvial,subaqueous-marine,and aeolian *** chemical features indicate solution pits and crystalline overgrowth,which suggests a silica saturated marine *** mechanical/chemical features display adhering particles and elongated depressions suggest formation in a sub-aqueous nearshore marine *** and trace elements-based provenance discrimination diagrams indicate a felsic source derived from the Mesa Central(MC),Sierra Madre Oriental(SMOr)and Oaxaquia *** major and trace element concentrations imply a passive margin setting for the northern Gulf of Mexico,which is consistent with the general geology.

Impact of chosen force fields and applied load on thin film lubrication

The rapid development of molecular dynamics(MD)simulations,as well as classical and reactive atomic potentials,has enabled tribologists to gain new insights into lubrication performance at the fundamental ***,the impact of adopted potentials on the rheological properties and tribological performance of hydrocarbons has not been researched *** extensive study analyzed the effects of surface structure,applied load,and force field(FF)on the thin film lubrication of *** lubricant film became more solid‐like as the applied load *** particular,with increasing applied load,there was an increase in the velocity slip,shear viscosity,and *** degree of ordering structure also changed with the applied load but rather *** was also significantly dependent on the surface *** chosen FFs significantly influenced the lubrication performance,rheological properties,and molecular *** adaptive intermolecular reactive empirical bond order(AIREBO)potential resulted in more significant liquid‐like behaviors,and the smallest velocity slip,degree of ordering structure,and shear stress were compared using the optimized potential for liquid simulations of united atoms(OPLS‐UAs),condensed‐phase optimized molecular potential for atomic simulation studies(COMPASS),and ***,classical potentials,such as OPLS‐UA and COMPASS,exhibit more solid‐like behavior than reactive potentials ***,owing to the solid‐like behavior,the lubricant temperatures obtained from OPLS‐UA and COMPASS were much lower than those obtained from AIREBO and *** increase in shear stress,as well as the decrease in velocity slip with an increase in the surface potential parameterζ,remained conserved for all chosen FFs,thus indicating that the proposed surface potential parameterζfor the COMPASS FF can be verified for a wide range of atomic models.
