＜正＞This paper presents and analyzes the asymmetrical voltage-cancellation （AVC） control, for a multi-output series resonant inverter. It is applied to the multiple-burner induction-heating cooking appliances. Some common approaches use several single-output inverters or a single-output inverter multiplexing the loads along the time periodically. By specifying a multi-output series-resonant high frequency inverter, a new inverter is obtained fulfilling the requirements. The synthesized converter can be considered as a multi-output extension of a full-bridge technology. It allows the control of those outputs, simultaneously and independently, up to their rated power, saving component count compared with the same-output, convert solution and providing a higher utilization of electronics. A three output inverter is presented and analyzed. All simulation results are provided with PSCAD/EMTDC software.

A New Structure of Multilevel Inverter with Reduced Number of Switches for Electric Vehicle Applications

Both hybrid Electric Vehicles (hEVs) and Electric Vehicles (EVs) need a traction motor and a power in-verter to drive the traction motor. The requirements for the power inverter include high peak power, opti-mum consumption of energy, low output harmonics and inexpensive circuit. In this paper, a new structure of multilevel inverter with reduced number of switches is proposed for electric vehicle applications. It consists of an h-bridge and an inverter in each phase which produces multilevel voltage by switching the dc voltage sources in series. As the number of switches are reduced, both conduction and switching losses will be de-creased, which leads to increase the efficiency of converter. The size and power consumption of driving cir-cuits are also reduced. The proposed three phase inverter can produces more number of voltage levels in the same number of the voltage source and reduced number of switches compared to the conventional inverters. This structure minimizes the total harmonic distortion (ThD) of the output voltage waveforms. The structure of proposed multilevel inverter, modulation method, switching losses, ThD calculation and simulation re-sults with PSCAD/EMTDC software are shown in this paper.

Polymorphism in the interleukin-17A promoter contributes to gastric cancer

AIM:To evaluate the contribution of the G-197A polymorphism in the interleukin-17(IL-17)promoter region to gastric cancer risk in an Iranian ***:We performed a case control study using samples from 161 individuals with gastric cancer and171 healthy *** each individual,the G-197A genotype was determined by restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis of polymerase chain reaction-amplified *** analyses were performed to determine whether any demographic or behavioral factors,infection with helicobacter pylori(***),or a particular G-197A genotype was associated with gastric cancer ***:We found that the G-197A genotype wassignificantly associated with increased gastric cancer risk(P=0.001).Patients who were homozygous(AA)at position-197 were 2.9 times more likely to develop disease(95%CI:1.56-5.4;P=0.001).Furthermore,logistic regression analysis revealed that the presence of a single A allele increased the risk of gastric cancer up to 1.7-fold(95%CI:1.26-2.369;P=0.001).This association was observed for early stage gastric adenocarcinomas only,and was not linked to *** ***:These results suggest that carrying one or more G-197A polymorphisms at position-197 in the IL-17 promoter region significantly increases gastric cancer risk in this patient population.

Ti33O55 films are deposited with the help of an electron beam evaporator for their applications in metasurfaces. The film of subwavelength （632nm） thickness is deposited on a silicon substrate and annealed at 400℃. The ellipsometry result shows a high refractive index above 2.5 with the minimum absorption coefficient in the visible region, which is necessary for high efficiency of transparent metasurfaces. Atomic force microscopy analysis is employed to measure the roughness of the as-deposited films. It is seen from micrographs that the deposited films are very smooth with the minimum roughness to prevent scattering and absorption losses for metasurface devices. The absence of grains and cracks can be seen by scanning electron microscope analysis, which is favorable for electron beam lithography. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy reveals the transmission and reflection obtained from the film deposited on glass substrates. The as-deposited film shows high transmission above 60%, which is in good agreement with metasurfaces.

Synthesis and Characterization of Superhydrophobic-Superoleophobic and Anti-Corrosion Coatings via Sol-Gel Process

Superoleophobic nanocomposite coatings with improved hydrophobic properties were obtained by incorporation of a perfluoroalkyl polymer in hybrid sol-gel matrix containing silica and titania nanoparticles. SiO2 and TiO2 nanoparticles were synthesized based on sol-gel precursors utilizing tetraethyl orthosilicate, 3-glycidoxypropyl trimethoxysilane, and tetra (n-butyl orthotitanate). SEM and EDX images of the coating demonstrated that a Silica nanosphere had been aggregated in superporous structure. The analysis results show that nano-sized inorganic particles (10 - 20 nm) have a uniform distribution and dispersion. By increasing the PFOTES, the oleophobicity of coatings increased due to lowering of surface energy in the presence of fluoropolymer. Results of EIS measurement show that PFOTES and TiO2 nanoparticles increased anti-corrosion property of hybrid coatings. This method introduces a simple way to produce water- and oil-repellent self-cleaning coatings on large areas of different substrates like glass, ceramic, metal and composites.

Production of γ-Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>from Kaolin

The paper reports a process for synthesis of γ-alumina from kaolin. Kaolin was transformed to meta-kaolin by calcination at 800oC for 2h. γ-alumina powder was synthesized through extracting alumina from meta- kaolin via h2SO4 and meta-kaolin reactions and consequently precipitation in ethanol, which led to form the aluminum sulfate. The precipitated aluminum sulfate was dried and calcined at 900 oC for 2h, which resulted the formation of γ-alumina. The structure of γ-alumina was confirmed by XRD and FTIR and the mean particles size of γ-alumina was determined by SEM to be 0.5 - 0.9 μm. The study revealed the kaolin could be promising material for preparation of γ-alumina.

Electrostatic Charge Generation in Pneumatic Conveying Process: Effect of Particle Properties

One of the main concerns in particle pneumatic conveying process is the possibility of hazards for operation safety due to the electrostatic charge generation as a result of collisions between particles and the equipment wall. Indeed, the electrostatic discharge can occur in the equipment leading to fire or explosion. Simulation of these kinds of processes plays an important role in understanding the various aspects of the system in order to production loss prevention. This paper deals with the simulation of particle pneumatic conveying process inside an inclined tube using a particular method. In this method, the electrification of particles inside the tube is influenced by the vertical collision velocity against the tube wall. Simulation of the particle movements inside the tube, generation of electrostatic charges over the particle surfaces as well as the possibility of fire as a result of discharging the electrostatic energy are investigated. The possibility of fire is investigated by comparing the amount of electrostatic energy with minimum ignition energy (MIE) of the particles. The effect of particle properties including the size and mechanical ones in the simulation is studied. Finally, several solutions are proposed to manage the risk of fire and explosion. As results, the electrostatic energy (E) is beyond the MIE, and the electrostatic discharge can occur leading to explosion for the diameters more than 2 mm and also for elasticity constants lower than 140 MPa. Eventually, there is no hazard of fire and explosion, since all calculated electrostatic energy for the change of Particle Poisson’s ratio varying from 0.1 to 0.9 is less than the MIE value for the air flow rate of 10 m3/h.

Microstructure Development after Coiling Process in Low-Si Content TRIP-Assisted Steels

The present work aimed to investigate the effect of coiling process conditions on microstructure development in a low-Si content TRIP （transformation-induced plasticity）-assisted steel after thermomechanical processing. In this framework, compression samples which were deformed above Tnr and then intercritically annealed were held isothermally for different durations at temperatures below bainite transformation start temperature. Microstructure of samples were characterized by optical and electron microscopy, XRD （X-ray diffraction） and M6ssbauer spectroscopy. The results indicated that due to low-silicon content of the present steel, the incomplete bainite reaction phenomena was not observed and, hence, the maximum carbon enrichment of residual austenite was achieved in the samples which held for short durations. It was also shown that the maximum carbon enrichment and volume fraction of residual austenite were achieved at intermediate bainite hold temperature of 450 ℃ as the result of competing phenomena, such as microstructural refinement, dislocation density, carbide precipitation and growth.

Data Comparison between Elite and Amateur Soccer Players by 20 hz GPS Data Collection

The athletic component in football is nowadays one of the most important factor to determinate the performance. This consideration is part of our study, which aims to evaluate and quantify the difference between the workload of an amateur footballer and an elite one. All this is allowed by match analysis made by GPS evaluation method for amateur and video tracking for elite. The examined teams were playing in 7th Italian league, and we used 10 GPS to track 6 games, 5 for each team. For every team and every game were analysed a forward, a central midfielder, a wide midfielder, a central defender and a full back （Age 25.3 ＋ 4.2, Weight 74.5 Kg a： 5.3, height 1.76 cm ＋ 5.2）. In our study, we used a 20 hz GPS （thanks to Advanced Research Group in Sport, School of health and Sport Science with K-Sport Universal, Italy） to detect performance data, and then we compared the outcome with matches performance data from elite players gather from scientific literature. Data analysis shows that elite players reach higher values in almost all parameters taken into account. In particular, they obtained higher value in meters per minutes, high Speed Distance （〉 16 Km/h）, high Metabolic Power Distance （〉 20 W/Kg） and in high and very high and acceleration （2 m/s, 3 m/s, 〉 3 m/s） and deceleration （-2 m/s, -3 m/s, 〉 -3 m/s）. This study can be useful to select and catalogue player performance model, in order to better understand the real value of a player, and to help coaches and teams to identify talent, at least in physical values.
