Application of carbon-supported single-atom catalysts for electrochemical reactions

The recent advances in carbon-supported single-atom catalysts (SACs) for electrochemical reactions are comprehensively reviewed. The development and advantages of carbon-supported SACs are briefly introduced, followed by a detailed summary of the synthesis strategies employed for various carbon-supported SACs, including vapor phase transport, high temperature pyrolysis,and wet chemical methods. Subsequently, the advanced characterization techniques for carbon-supported SACs are reviewed. The applications of carbon-supported SACs in diverse fields, such as oxygen reduction reaction, carbon dioxide reduction reaction, nitrogen reduction reaction, hydrogen evolution reaction, and oxygen evolution reaction are summarized. Special emphasis is given to the modification strategies enabling carbon-supported SACs to exhibit excellent electrocatalytic performance. Finally, the prospects and challenges associated with utilizing carbon-supported SACs for electrochemical reactions are discussed.

Precise design and synthesis of sub-nano scale catalysts with controllable electronic and geometric structures are pivotal for enhancing the hydrogen evolution reaction(hER)performance of molybdenum sulfide(MoS_(2))and unraveling its structure−activity *** leveraging transition molybdenum polysulfide clusters as functional units for multi-level ordering,we successfully designed and synthesized MoS_(x)nanowire networks derived from[Mo_(3)S_(13)]^(2−)clusters via evaporationinduced self-assembly,which exhibit enhanced hER activity attributed to a high density of active sites and dynamic evolution behavior under cathodic ***_(x)nanowire networks electrode yields a current density of 100 mA·cm^(−2)at 142 mV in 0.5 M h_(2)SO_(4).This work provides an attractive prospect for optimizing catalysts at the sub-nano scale and offers insights into a strategy for designing catalysts in various gas evolution reactions.

The scarcity,high cost and susceptibility to CO of Platinum severely restrict its application in alkaline hydrogen oxidation reaction(hOR).hybridizing Pt with other transition metals provides an effective strategy to modulate its catalytic hOR performance,but at the cost of mass activity due to the coverage of modifiers on Pt ***,we constructed dual junctions'Pt/nitrogen-doped carbon(Pt/NC)andδ-MoC/NC to modify electronic structure of Pt via interfacial electron transfer to acquire Pt-MoC@NC catalyst with electron-deficient Pt nanoparticles,simultaneously endowing it with high mass activity and durability of alkaline ***,the unique structure of Pt-MoC@NC endows Pt with a high COtolerance at 1,000 ppm CO/h_(2),a quality that commercial Pt-C catalyst *** theoretical calculations not only confirm the diffusion of electrons from Pt/NC to Mo C/NC could occur,but also demonstrate the negative shift of Pt d-band center for the optimized binding energies of*h,*Oh and CO.

Ferroelastic hybrid perovskite materials have been revealed the significance in the applications of switches,sensors,actuators,***,it remains a challenge to design high-temperature ferroelastic to meet the requirements for the practical ***,we reported an one-dimensional organicinorganic hybrid perovskites(OIhP)(3-methylpyrazolium)CdCl_(3)(3-MBCC),which possesses a mmmF2/m ferroelastic phase transition at 263 ***,utilizing crystal engineering,we replace-Ch_(3) with-Nh_(2) and-h,which increases the intermolecular force between organic cations and inorganic *** phase transition temperature of(3-aminopyrazolium)CdCl_(3)(3-ABCC),and(pyrazolium)CdCl_(3)(BCC)increased by 73 K and 10 K,***,BCC undergoes an unconventional inverse temperature symmetry breaking(ISTB)ferroelastic phase transition around 273 ***,it transforms from a high symmetry low-temperature paraelastic phase(point group 2/m)to a low symmetry high-temperature ferroelastic phase(point group ī)originating from the rare mechanism of displacement of organic cations phase *** means that crystal BCC retains in ferroelastic phase above 273 K until melting point(446 K).Furthermore,characteristic ferroelastic domain patterns on crystal BCC are confirmed with polarized optical *** study enriches the molecular mechanism of ferroelastics in the family of organic-inorganic hybrids and opens up a new avenue for exploring high-temperature ferroic materials.

Converter slag is a by-product of the steelmaking process and contains a large amount of Ca,Fe,P and other *** the phosphorus in the converter slag can be effectively extracted,the resulting phosphorus can be used as a phosphate *** in converter slag is mainly enriched in 2CaO·SiO_(2)-3CaO·P_(2)O_(5)(C_(2)S-C_(3)P)solid solution and is easily dissolved in ***,acid leaching method was used to dissolve the solid solution to extract phosphorus in converter slag,so as to realize the recycling of phosphorus resources in converter *** leaching behavior of three actual converter slags from different steel mills in acid leaching solutions composed of citric acid,sodium hydroxide,hydrochloric acid and deionized water was studied by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy combined with energy dispersive spectrometry,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy to reveal the change in object image structure as well as SiO_(4) and PO_(4) tetrahedron before and after acid *** results show that only a small amount of phosphorus in converter slag with too low basicity is enriched in C_(2)S-C_(3)P solid solution,resulting in poor leaching *** the converter slag has a high basicity,the removal effect of phosphorus is 70.64%-81.88%.In addition,when the basicity of converter slag is roughly the same,the dephosphorization effect of slag with high FeO content is relatively *** acid leaching will cause depolymerization behavior of SiO_(4) and PO_(4) tetrahedron,so that the mole fraction of Q0(Si)(asymmetric stretching vibration of Si-O bond in SiO_(4) tetrahedron with bridge oxygen number of 0)and NBO/Si(non-bridging oxygen in silicate tetrahedra)will ***-containing solids can be obtained from the solution after acid leaching through static precipitation,and the solids have the potential to make phosphate fertilizers.
