Interfacial Electronic Modulation of Dual-Monodispersed Pt–Ni_(3)S_(2) as Efficacious Bi-Functional Electrocatalysts for Concurrent h_(2) Evolution and Methanol Selective Oxidation

Constructing the efficacious and applicable bifunctional electrocatalysts and establishing out the mechanisms of organic electro-oxidation by replacing anodic oxygen evolution reaction(OER) are critical to the development of electrochemicallydriven technologies for efficient hydrogen production and avoid CO_(2) emission. herein, the hetero-nanocrystals between monodispersed Pt(~ 2 nm) and Ni_(3)S_(2)(~ 9.6 nm) are constructed as active electrocatalysts through interfacial electronic modulation, which exhibit superior bi-functional activities for methanol selective oxidation and h_(2) generation. The experimental and theoretical studies reveal that the asymmetrical charge distribution at Pt–Ni_(3)S_(2) could be modulated by the electronic interaction at the interface of dual-monodispersed heterojunctions, which thus promote the adsorption/desorption of the chemical intermediates at the interface. As a result, the selective conversion from Ch_(3)Oh to formate is accomplished at very low potentials(1.45 V) to attain 100 m A cm^(-2) with high electronic utilization rate(~ 98%) and without CO_(2) emission. Meanwhile, the Pt–Ni_(3)S_(2) can simultaneously exhibit a broad potential window with outstanding stability and large current densities for hydrogen evolution reaction(hER) at the cathode. Further, the excellent bi-functional performance is also indicated in the coupled methanol oxidation reaction(MOR)//hER reactor by only requiring a cell voltage of 1.60 V to achieve a current density of 50 m A cm^(-2) with good reusability.

Ca_(2)MnO_(4)-layered perovskite modified by NaNO_(3)for chemical-looping oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane to ethylene

Chemical-looping oxidative dehydrogenation(CL-ODh)is a process designed for the conversion of alkanes into olefins through cyclic redox reactions,eliminating the need for gaseous O_(2).In this work,we investigated the use of Ca_(2)MnO_(4)-layered perovskites modified with NaNO_(3) dopants,serving as redox catalysts(also known as oxygen carriers),for the CL-ODh of ethane within a temperature range of 700-780℃.Our findings revealed that the incorporation of NaNO_(3) as a modifier significantly-nhanced the selectivity for-thylene generation from Ca_(2)MnO_(4).At 750℃and a gas hourly space velocity of 1300 h^(-1),we achieved an-thane conversion up to 68.17%,accompanied by a corresponding-thylene yield of 57.39%.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis unveiled that the doping NaNO_(3) onto Ca_(2)MnO_(4) not only played a role in reducing the oxidation state of Mn ions but also increased the lattice oxygen content of the redox ***,formation of NaNO_(3) shell on the surface of Ca_(2)MnO_(4) led to a reduction in the concentration of manganese sites and modulated the oxygen-releasing behavior in a step-wise *** modulation contributed significantly to the enhanced selectivity for ethylene of the NaNO_(3)-doped Ca_(2)MnO_(4) *** findings provide compelling evidence for the potential of Ca_(2)MnO_(4)-layered perovskites as promising redox catalysts in the context of CL-ODh reactions.

Effect of Direct Aging on Corrosion Behavior of AlSi10Mg Alloy Fabricated by Laser Powder Bed Fusion

Effect of direct aging of 170℃on corrosion behavior of laser powder bed fused AlSi10Mg(LPBF-AlSi10Mg)was studied by microstructure analysis,electrochemical analysis and X-ray photoelectron *** results show that direct aging of 170℃has little effect on melt pool and Si cellular structure,but promotes the precipitation of nano-Si particles and releases the residual *** increasing aging time from 0 to 4 h to 24 h,the corrosion property of the LPBF-AlSi10Mg is deteriorated,which is evidenced by increased corrosion current density and decreased pitting potential and polarization *** increasing the aging time,the thickness of the oxide film formed on surface of the LPBF-AlSi10Mg *** Si content of the oxide film of the sample aging for 4 h is the lowest,9.42 at.%,and it is the highest,18.62 at.%,for the sample aging for 24 *** electrochemical noise analysis reveals that the middle-frequency contribution of the hilbert spectrum is responsible for the deteriorated corrosion performance,which corresponds to metastable pitting initiated by nano-Si particles.

The challenge of high temperatures in deep mining remains harmful to the health of workers and their production efficiency The addition of phase change materials (PCMs) to filling slurry and the use of the cold storage function of these materials to reduce downhole temperatures is an effective approach to alleviate the aforementioned ***–CaCl_(2)·6h_(2)O composite PCM was prepared in the *** composition,phase change latent heat,thermal conductivity,and cemented tailing backfill (CTB) compressive strength of the new material were *** heat transfer characteristics and endothermic effect of the PCM were simulated using Fluent *** results showed the following:(1) The new paraffin–CaCl_(2)·6h_(2)O composite PCM improved the thermal conductivity of native paraffin while avoiding the water solubility of CaCl_(2)·6h_(2)O.(2) The calculation formula of the thermal conductivity of CaCl_(2)·6h_(2)O combined with paraffin was deduced,and the reasons were explained in principle.(3) The“enthalpy–mass scale model”was applied to calculate the phase change latent heat of nonreactive composite PCMs.(4)The addition of the paraffin–CaCl_(2)·6h_(2)O composite PCM reduced the CTB strength but increased its heat absorption *** research can give a theoretical foundation for the use of heat storage backfill in green mines.

A composite material comprising a carbon layer and spherical carbon/carbon cloth(C-SC/CC)was fabricated using a hydrothermal-pyrolysis method,employing carbon cloth as the substrate and glucose as the carbon *** C-SC/CC electrode was evaluated as an electrocatalytic electrode for hydrogen production by electrolysis of Bunsen reaction *** electrode prepared with 4 g of glucose and annealed at 800°C showed excellent electrocatalytic *** requires only a potential of 185 mV(***)to achieve a current density of 10 mA/***,the electrode demonstrated good stability with a 6%loss in current density after 1000 cycles of scanning from 0.2 V to 1.2 *** results indicate the potential of the SC/CC electrode as an efficient and durable electrocatalyst for the electrolysis of h2SO4 and hI.

Development of a novel Eu^(3+)-doped tantalate red-emitting phosphor for w-LEDs application

Two novel phosphors LiBa_(4(1-x))Eu_(4x)Ta_(3)O_(12)(h-LBTO:xEu^(3+)) and Li_(0.25)Ba_(1-x)Eu_(x)Ta_(0.75)O_(3)(C-LBTO:xEu^(3+))were prepared successfully by a molten salt *** transformation between these two structures was realized by changing the sintering temperature or changing the Eu^(3+) ions concentration,which was also demonstrated by the X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),diffuse reflectance spectra(DRS),and photoluminescence excitation(PLE) analyses,Both the sintering temperature and the Eu^(3+)ions doping concentration have significant impact on the formation of the crystal *** these phosphors sintered at 1023 K exhibit two major luminescence lines at 594 and 614 nm under nearUV light of 395 nm excitation,corresponding to Eu^(3+)ions typical transitions of ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(1) and ^(5)D_(0)→^(7)F_(2).The optimum concentration of Eu^(3+) ions is 9 mol% for C-LBTO:xEu^(3+) samples and the quenching interaction type is the nearest-neighbor ion *** thermal stability of the C-LBTO:0.09Eu^(3+)sample was investigated in detail and the device application further suggests that C-LBTO:0.09Eu^(3+) can be used as a red phosphor for near-UV excited w-LEDs in lighting.

Effects of layer interactions on instantaneous stability of finite Stokes flows

The stability analysis of a finite Stokes layer is of practical importance in flow control. In the present work, the instantaneous stability of a finite Stokes layer with layer interactions is studied via a linear stability analysis of the frozen phases of the base flow. The oscillations of two plates can have different velocity amplitudes, initial phases, and frequencies. The effects of the Stokes-layer interactions on the stability when two plates oscillate synchronously are analyzed. The growth rates of two most unstable modes when δ h*, where δ*and h*are the Stokes-layer thickness and the half height of the channel, respectively. however, their vorticities are different. The vorticity of the most unstable mode is symmetric, while the other is asymmetric. The Stokes-layer interactions have a destabilizing effect on the most unstable mode when δ have a stabilizing effect when δ > 0.68. however, the interactions always have a stabilizing effect on the other unstable mode. It is explained that one of the two unstable modes has much higher dissipation than the other one when the Stokes-layer interactions are strong. We also find that the stability of the Stokes layer is closely related to the inflectional points of the base-flow velocity profile. The effects of inconsistent velocity-amplitude, initial phase, and frequency of the oscillations on the stability are analyzed. The energy of the most unstable eigenvector is mainly distributed near the plate of higher velocity amplitude or higher oscillation frequency. The effects of the initial phase difference are complicated because the base-flow velocity is extremely sensitive to the initial phase.

A Time Series Short-Term Prediction Method Based on Multi-granularity Event Matching and Alignment

Accurate forecasting of time series is crucial across various *** prediction tasks rely on effectively segmenting,matching,and time series data *** instance,regardless of time series with the same granularity,segmenting them into different granularity events can effectively mitigate the impact of varying time scales on prediction ***,these events of varying granularity frequently intersect with each other,which may possess unequal *** minor differences can result in significant errors when matching time series with future ***,directly using matched events but unaligned events as state vectors in machine learning-based prediction models can lead to insufficient prediction ***,this paper proposes a short-term forecasting method for time series based on a multi-granularity event,MgE-SP(multi-granularity event-based short-termprediction).First,amethodological framework for MgE-SP established guides the implementation *** framework consists of three key steps,including multi-granularity event matching based on the LTF(latest time first)strategy,multi-granularity event alignment using a piecewise aggregate approximation based on the compression ratio,and a short-term prediction model based on *** data from a nationwide online car-hailing service in China ensures the method’s *** average RMSE(root mean square error)and MAE(mean absolute error)of the proposed method are 3.204 and 2.360,lower than the respective values of 4.056 and 3.101 obtained using theARIMA(autoregressive integratedmoving average)method,as well as the values of 4.278 and 2.994 obtained using k-means-SVR(support vector regression)*** other experiment is conducted on stock data froma public data *** proposed method achieved an average RMSE and MAE of 0.836 and 0.696,lower than the respective values of 1.019 and 0.844 obtained using the ARIMA method,as well as the values of 1.350 and 1.172 obtained usin

The growth ofβphase in Mg-gd-Y-Ni alloy by experimental and first-principles study

The paper reports on the atomic investigation aboutβphase in Mg_(96)gd_(2)Y_(1)Ni_(1) alloy by using the first-principles study and the high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscope(hAADF-STEM)corrected by atomic *** using hAADF-STEM,the rectangularβphases were observed in the underage and peak aging stages in Mg_(96)gd_(2)Y_(1)Ni_(1) ***βphase could be precipitated from the previously precipitatedβphase,and theβphase grew in steps when it was precipitated.A special transition structure of three atomic layer thicknesses was first observed at the edge of theβphase and the structure of this interface is probably as theβ/Mg_(1) interface for the analysis of thermodynamic characterization and electronic ***β'phase and theβ_(h) structure were precipitated only at the edge of the length directions of theβ***β'phase continues to grow into aβphase directly without the formation ofβ_(1) phase,resulting in an increase in the length of theβphase,which is discovered for the first time.
