Silver nanoparticles with average particles sizes ranging from 2 to 131nm were manipulatively synthesized starting from silver nitrate using different functional group-containing organic modifiers at room temperature. The effects of the organic modifiers on the morphology of the resulting silver nanoparticles were strongly dependent on the intrinsic properties of the functional groups and the reducibility of the reductant. Numerous ether bonds （-0-）present in polyethylene glycol and Tween-80 were beneficial to the formation of silver nanoparticles with particle sizes of several nanometers in a narrow size distribution in both weak and strong reducing environments. Cetyltrimethylammonium bromide induced the formation of nanosized silver triangle plates in a weak reducing environment. The crystal growth of the silver nanoparticles with particle sizes of more than lOnm was postulated through an adhesion process of small-sized particles followed by a subsequent coalescence process under the present reaction conditions.

In this work,a novel composite material based on β-cyclodextrin-immobilized sodium alginate aerogel(β-CD/NaAlg) was developed utilizing cross-linker of epichlorohydrin and applied as an adsorbent to remove tetracycline antibiotics from reclaimed wastewater.A series of characterizations were utilized to confirm the successful synthesis of the adsorbent and this β-CD/NaAlg presented a three-dimensional network at the nanoscale or *** optimal conditions(ph=4,t=8 h,β-CD:NaAlg=9,adsorbent dosage = 1.5 g·L-1),the maximum removal rate of β-CD/NaAlg to tetracycline was 70%.The adsorption behavior of tetracycline on β-CD/NaAlg conformed to the Freundlich isotherm model(R2=0.9977) and the pseudo-second-order kinetic model(R^(2)=0.9993).Moreover,the adsorbent still removed 55.3% of tetracycline after five ***,the adsorbent was integrated with ultrafiltration to adsorb tetracycline antibiotics from simulated reclaimed wastewater,and the removal rate of tetracycline reached 78.9% within 2 *** existence of Cr(Ⅵ) had a negligible impact on tetracycline removal,while the presence of humic acid exh.b.ted a promoting *** possible adsorption mechanisms were also elucidated through X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and density functional theory *** summary,β-CD/NaAlg represents an environmentally friendly,efficient,and sustainable adsorbent for removing tetracycline antibiotics from reclaimed water.

Composite insulators have been widely used in transmission *** being removed from transmission lines,their housing silicone material cannot degrade *** tackle this problem,this paper proposes an effective method to recycle waste insulators by pyrolysis to obtain mullite(3Al_(2)O_(3)·2SiO_(2))with high purity and compact *** recycling process studied will not generate toxic *** thermal degradation process of housing material is investigated by analyzing its degradation products including the gas and residues in *** experimental results indicate that the colorant agent Fe2O3 inside the housing material is beneficial for the generation of mullite by decreasing the temperature of ***,since the transitional alumina generated by the dehydration of aluminum hydroxide(ATh)has a smaller diameter and can better dissolute into the silica phases,ATh is a better choice as the additional aluminum *** comparing the components,structure,and particle size of grains formed at different calcination temperatures,the proposed pyrolysis temperatures of the two stages are 1400◦C and 1600◦C,respectively.

Monitoring temporal changes in sea level is important in assessing coastal *** level anomalies at a tide gauge station,if kinematically conceived,include systematic variations such as trend,acceleration,periodic oscillations,and random *** them,the non-stationary nature of the random sea level variations of known or unknown origin at coastal regions has been long recognized by the sea level *** study proposes the analyses of subgroups of random residual statistics of a rigorously formulated kinematic model solution of tide gauge variations using X-bar and S control *** approach is demonstrated using Key West,Florida tide gauge *** mean and standard errors of 5-year-long subgroups of the residuals revealed that sea level changes at this location have been progressively intensifying from 1913 to the *** oscillations in sea level at this locality may be attributed partly to the thermal expansion of seawater with increasing temperatures causing larger buoyancy-related sea level fluctuations as well as the intensification of atmospheric events including wind patterns and the impact of changes in inverted barometer effects that will alter coastal risk assessments for the future.
