A composite scaffold composed of a porous scaffold and h.drogel filling can facilitate engraftment, survival, and retention in cell transplantation processes. Th.s study presents a composite scaffold made of poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) and meth.crylated h.aluronic acid (Meh.) h.drogel and describes th. corresponding ph.sical properties (surface area, porosity, and mech.nical strength. and h.st response (angiogenesis and fibrosis) after subcutaneous transplantation. Specifically, we synth.sise Meh. with.different degrees of substitution and fabricate a PCL scaffold with.different porosities. Subsequently, we construct a series of PCL/Meh. composite scaffolds by combining th.se h.drogels and scaffolds. In experiments with.mice, th. scaffold composed of 3% PCL and 10–100 kDa, degree of substitution 70% Meh. results in th. least fibrosis and a h.gh.r degree of angiogenesis. Th.s study h.gh.igh.s th. potential of PCL/Meh. composite scaffolds for subcutaneous cell transplantation, given th.ir desirable ph.sical properties and h.st response. © 2024, Ch.nese Medical Multimedia Press Co Ltd. Indium oxide(In_(2)O_(3)),as a promising candidate for CO_(2)h.drogenation to C_(1) products,often suffers from sintering and activity decline,closely related to th. undesirable structural evolution under reaction *** on th. compreh.nsion of th. dynamic evolution,th.s study presents an efficient strategy to alleviate th. agglomeration of In_(2)O_(3)nanoparticles by th. surface decoration with.h.gh.y dispersed silica species(SiO_(x)).Various structural ch.racterizations combined with.density functional th.ory calculations demonstrated th.t th. sintering resulted from th. over-reduction,wh.le th. enh.nced stability originated from th. anch.ring effect of h.gh.y stable In-OSi bonds,wh.ch.h.nders th. substantial formation of metallic In(In^(0))and th. subsequent agglomeration.0.6Si/In_(2)O_(3)exh.bited CO_(2)conversion rate of10.0 mmol g^(-1)h.(-1)at steady state vs.3.5 mmol g^(-1)h.(-1)on In_(2)O_(3)in CO_(2)*** steady-state activity was also ach.eved on Pd-modified *** to th. traditional Pd/In_(2)O_(3)catalyst,th. meth.nol production rate of Pd catalyst supported on 0.6Si/In_(2)O_(3)was enh.nced by 23%,sh.wing th. potential of In_(2)O_(3)modified by SiO_(x)in serving as a platform *** work provides a promising meth.d to design new In_(2)O_(3)-based catalysts with.improved activity and stability in CO_(2)h.drogenation.
