Th. development of portable X-ray detectors is necessary for diagnosing fractures in unconscious patients in emergency situations. h.wever, th.s is quite ch.llenging because of th. h.avy weigh. of th. scintillator and silicon ph.todetectors. Th. weigh. and th.ckness of X-ray detectors can be reduced by replacing th. silicon layer with.an organic ph.todetectors. Th.s study presents a novel bith.enopyrroledione-based polymer donor th.t exh.bits excellent ph.todetection properties even in a th.ck ph.toactive layer (similar to 700 nm), owing to th. symmetric backbone and h.gh.y soluble molecular structure of bith.enopyrroledione. Th. ability of bith.enopyrroledione-based polymer donor to strongly suppress th. dark current density (j(d) similar to 10(-10) A cm(-2)) at a negative bias (-2.0 V) wh.le maintaining h.gh.responsivity (R = 0.29 A W-1) even at a th.ckness of 700 nm results in a maximum sh.t-noise-limited specific detectivity of D-sh. = 2.18 x 10(13) jones in th. organic ph.todetectors. Printed organic ph.todetectors are developed by slot-die coating for use in X-ray detectors, wh.ch.exh.bit D-sh. = 2.73 x 10(12) jones with.clear rising (0.26 s) and falling (0.29 s) response times upon X-ray irradiation. Detection reliability is also proven by linear response of th. X-ray detector, and th. X-ray detection limit is 3 mA.

Investigation of h.AR2 antagonists as a potential strategy to modulate bovine leukocytes

Background Dairy cows experiencing ketosis after calving suffer greater disease incidence and are at greater risk of leaving th. h.rd. In vitro administration of beta-h.droxybutyric acid(Bh.A;th. primary blood ketone) h.s inh.bitory effects on th. function of bovine leukocytes. Bh.A is a ligand of h.AR2 and th. activation of th.se receptors promotes an anti-inflammatory response wh.ch.may be related with.immunosuppression observed in transition dairy cattle. Th. objective of th.s study was to identify and test antagonists for h.AR2 in bovine immune cells cultured with.*** We observed expression of h.AR2 at th. protein level with.n lymph.cytes, monocytes, and granulocytes. Th. proportion of cells expressing h.AR2 tended to be greater in mid-lactation compared to early lactation cows;th. increase was a result of increased proportion of T and B cells expressing h.AR2. Stimulation of h.AR2 with.niacin or Bh.A promoted Ca^(2+) mobilization in neutroph.ls and mononuclear cells. Mononuclear cells treated with.Bh.A h.d diminish.d intracellular Ca^(2+) responses wh.n h.AR2 was knocked down by si RNA silencing, indicating Ca^(2+) mobilization was mediated by h.AR2 signaling. Two candidate antagonists for h.AR2, synth.sized from niacin(NA-1 and NA-5), were tested;monocytes and neutroph.ls pre-treated with.NA-1 and NA-5 h.d reduced Ca^(2+) mobilization after incubation with.Bh.A. Furth.rmore, NA-5 but not NA-1 prevented Bh.A-associated reductions in cyclic *** We demonstrated th.t h.AR2 is present on bovine leukocytes and h.s greater expression later in lactation. We confirmed th.t Bh.A and niacin derived h.AR2 antagonists alter bovine leukocyte activity. Our results demonstrate th.t both.Bh.A and niacin affect bovine leukocyte Ca^(2+) mobilization in a h.AR2-dependent manner.

AIM:To compare th. consistency of two autorefractors(Tianle RM-9000 and Topcon KR-800)for sch.ol-age myopia ch.ldren,and to provide a basis for largescale data analysis and ***:Th. refractive error in 909 subjects(age 4–18y)were measured using both.autorefractors with.ut *** data were analyzed using Fourier decomposition and th. correlation coefficients,intraclass correlation coefficients(ICC),and Bland-Altman limits of agreement(LoA)for each.parameter were ***:Th.re was a strong correlation between th. sph.rical equivalent(SE),sph.re diopter(DS),and cylinder diopter(DC)readings of th. Tianle RM-9000 and th.se of th. Topcon KR-800,with.correlation coefficient values of 0.98,0.98 and 0.83 and ICC values of 0.99,0.99 and 0.93,***,th. correlation coefficients and ICC values of j0 and j45 were unreliable(R=-0.004,-0.034;both.ICCh.t SE,DS,and DC measured by th. Tianle RM-9000 were significantly biased toward myopia compared with.th. Among plant metabolites,ph.nolamides,wh.ch.are conjugates of h.droxycinnamic acid derivatives and polyamines,play important roles in plant adaptation to abiotic and biotic ***,th. molecular mech.nisms underlying ph.nolamide metabolism and regulation as well as th. effects of domestication and breeding on ph.nolamide diversity in tomato remain largely *** th.s study,we performed a metabolite-based genome-wide association study and identified two biosynth.tic gene clusters(BGC7 and BGC11)containing 12 genes involved in ph.nolamide metabolism,including four biosynth.sis genes(two 4CL genes,one C3h.gene,and one CPA gene),seven decoration genes(five AT genes and two UGT genes),and one transport protein gene(DTX29).Using gene co-expression network analysis we furth.r discovered th.t SlMYB13 positively regulates th. expression of two gene clusters,th.reby promoting ph.nolamide *** and ph.siological analyses sh.wed th.t BGC7,BGC11 and SlMYB13 enh.nce drough. tolerance by enh.ncing scavenging of reactive oxygen species and increasing abscisic acid content in *** variation analysis suggested th.t BGC7,BGC11 and SlMYB13 were negatively selected during tomato domestication and improvement,leading to reduced ph.nolamide content and drough. tolerance of cultivated ***,our study discovers a key mech.nism of ph.nolamide biosynth.sis and regulation in tomato and reveals th.t crop domestication and improvement sh.pes metabolic diversity to affect plant environmental adaptation.
