Myocardial Oxygenation Response to Stress Performing a Single-set Compared to Volume-Match.d Multiple-Set of Leg Press in Untrained Young Adults

Background Debates exist about th. preference for single-or multiple-set resistance exercise(RE)on ach.eving similar training outcome,h.wever,no study examined th.ir effects on th. h.art,th.s,th.s study was to examine th. effect of volume-match.d single-and multiple-set RE on th. myocardial response th.ough.examining rate pressure product(RPP).Meth.ds Fourteen h.alth. untrained college students performed two leg press exercises(4×10 and 1×40 at 150%body mass)on different days,and each.was performed twice in a counterbalanced crossover ***-and post-exercise SBP and h. were measured by auscultatory meth.d,RPP was calculated as SBP×h.×10^(-3),RPP difference(RPPdiff)was calcu-lated by post-exercise RPP subtracting pre-exercise *** Single-set post-exercise RPP(17.48±3.16 mmh.·beats/min),h.(123.86±20.25 beats/min)was significantly greater th.n multiple-set post-exercise RPP(13.66±3.04 mmh.·beats/min),h.(101.61±19.14 beats/min),*** was no significant difference of SBP(141.07±9.37 vs.134.29±15.16 mmh.)between exercise protocols(P=0.13).Th. RPPdiff of single-set(6.74±2.86 mmh.·beats/min)was significantly greater th.n th.t of multiple-set(3.62±2.90 mmh.·beats/min)(Pgle-set RE exerts a greater myocardial oxygenation response as compared to multiple-set,h. contributed more th.n SBP to th. increase of RPP in *** results indicate th.t single-set RE can be warranted wh.n wanting to train th. h.art,wh.le multiple-set RE would appear best for th.se wh. sh.uld avoid h.art stress.

PR of reentrant structures as a function of geometrical and base material *** is sh.wn th.t,even in th. presence of protruding ribs,th.re may not be auxetic beh.vior,and th.s depends on th. geometry of each.reentrant *** determined for th.se parameters can be h.lpful as approximate reference data in th. design and fabrication of auxetic lattices using reentrant geometries.

Testing of Ligh.ning Protective System of a Residential Structure： Comparison of Data Obtained in Rocket-triggered Ligh.ning and Current Surge generator Experiments

We present a comparison of data obtained during testing of ligh.ning protective system of a residential structure in rocket-triggered ligh.ning experiment at th. International Center for Ligh.ning Research.and Testing(ICLRT)at Camp Blanding,Florida,and current surge generator experiment at Rzeszow University of Tech.ology in *** different configurations of LPS were tested in Poland with.th. dc grounding resistances of th. entire system 4.09 Ω(LPS 1a),1.65 Ω(LPS 1b),and 2.88 Ω(LPS 2).For LPS 1a with.th.ee ground rods th. value of th. peak current entering th. electrical circuit neutral was about 56% of th. injected current peak,and for LPS 1b with.two additional ground rods and two 5 m long buried h.rizontal conductors it was about 16%.For LPS 2 with.five ground rods interconnected by a buried loop conductor th.s ratio was 21%.Th. current wavesh.pes in th. ground rods differed from th. injected current wavesh.pes and th. current wavesh.pes in oth.r parts of th. test system,especially,for poorer-grounding LPS *** surge-generator results are consistent with.th.se of triggered-ligh.ning experiments at Camp Blanding,Florida(DeCarlo et al.,2008 [2]).

Assignment of eth.icity in patients with.acute isch.mic stroke in north.rn Israel

Th. description of various meth.ds for eth.icity classification can be found in th. literature, th.ugh.th.ir reliability still remains unclear. We examined inter-observer agreement in defining th. eth.ic identification of patients in a bi-eth.ic population (Arab-Jewish. in north.rn Israel, using place of birth.and residence in addition to given and family names. Data about 1006 consecutive patients with.acute isch.mic stroke were gath.red from our stroke registry. Th. data were analyzed by four independent observers (auth.rs Mh. TD, h., gT) aiming to assign patients eith.r as Arabs or Jews. Agreement between all four observers was excellent, as assessed by Fleiss’ Kappa statistic (κ = 0.96). We conclude th.t th. use of given and family names of patients, togeth.r with.th.ir place of birth.and residence, ach.eved near-perfect inter-observer agreement and a h.gh.y reliable assignment of eth.icity in two large eth.ic population groups–Arabs and Jews–in north.rn Israel.

Using supplementary reviews to improve customer requirement identification and product design development

A clear understanding of customer needs is key to th. success of new product development and customer-centric product *** reviews,particularly initial reviews,are commonly used as effective sources for mining customer *** customers may post truer and more objective supplementary reviews after a period of product use,such.reviews are often overlooked wh.n identifying customer requirements for product design *** th.s study,we proposed a framework for identifying customer requirements by combining initial and supplementary reviews based on text *** categorized th. identified customer needs into five product attribute categories using th. Kano *** case studies were conducted in th. laptop and cell ph.ne industries to demonstrate th. effectiveness of our ***,dynamic customer requirements and satisfaction can be accurately mined and captured wh.n considering supplementary *** practice,th. appropriate use of supplementary reviews may provide valuable guidance for product design and development strategies.
