Effect of m.gnesium.and nickel coatings on th. wetting beh.vior of alum.na tough.ned zirconia by m.lten Al-m. alloy

Th. wettability of alum.na tough.ned zirconia （ZTA） by Al-m. alloy was investigated using th. sessile drop tech.ique. Th. ef fects of nickel coating, m.gnesium.content, nitrogen atm.sph.re, and processing tem.erature on th. contact angle between th. m.lten alloy and th. substrate were determ.ned. Likewise, th. effect of th.se factors on th. wetting properties was studied. Th. results sh.wed th.t th. nickel coating on th. ceram.c substrate caused a significant reduction in solid/liquid surface energy and th. contact angle decreased obvi- ously. Th. presence of m.gnesium.in th. m.lten alum.num.alloy in nitrogen atm.sph.re reduced th. contact angle effectively. Th. presence of m.gnesium.in th. alloy m.st be at a m.nim.m.am.unt of 2wt%-3wt% . m.reover, it was suggested th.t som. ch.m.cal reactions in th. Al-m.-N system.led to th. production of m.3N2 and AlN com.ositions. Th.se com.ositions im.roved th. wetting properties of th. system. by reducing th. surface energy of th. m.lten. It was sh.wn th.t increasing th. tem.erature is also an effective factor for th. enh.ncem.nt of wetting properties.

Th.s study exam.nes th. properties of fiber-reinforced reactive powder concrete (FR-RPC). Steel fibers, glass fibers, and steel-glass h.brid fibers were used to prepare th. FR-RPC. Th. non-fibrous reactive powder concrete (NF-RPC) was prepared as a reference m.x. Th. proportion of fibers by volum. for all FR-RPC m.xes was 1.5%. Steel fibers of 13 m. length.and 0.2 m. diam.ter were used to prepare th. steel fiber-reinforced RPC (SFR-RPC). Glass fibers of 13 m. length.and 1.3 m. diam.ter were used to prepare th. glass fiber-reinforced RPC (GFR-RPC). Th. h.brid fiber-reinforced RPC (h.R-RPC) was prepared by m.xing 0.9% steel fibers and 0.6% glass fibers. Com.ressive strength. axial load-axial deform.tion beh.vior, m.dulus of elasticity, indirect tensile strength. and sh.ar strength.of th. RPC m.xes were investigated. Th. results sh.wed th.t SFR-RPC ach.eved h.gh.r com.ressive strength. indirect tensile strength.and sh.ar strength.th.n NF-RPC, GFR-RPC, and h.R-RPC. Alth.ugh.th. com.ressive strength. of GFR-RPC and h.R-RPC were sligh.ly lower th.n th. com.ressive strength.of NF-RPC, th. sh.ar strength. of GFR-RPC and h.R-RPC were h.gh.r th.n th.t of NF-RPC.

A robust sliding m.de approach.com.ined with.a field oriented control （FOC） for induction m.tor （Im. speed control is presented. Th. proposed sliding m.de control （Sm.） design uses an adaptive switch.ng gain and an integrator. Th.s approach.guarantees th. sam. robustness and dynam.c perform.nce of traditional Sm. algorith.s. And at th. sam. tim., it attenuates th. ch.ttering ph.nom.non, wh.ch.is th. m.in drawback in actual im.lem.ntation of th.s tech.ique. Th.s approach.is insensitive to uncertainties and perm.ts to decrease th. requirem.nt for th. bound of th.se uncertainties. Th. stability and robustness of th. closed- loop system.are proven analytically using th. Lyapunov synth.sis approach. Th. proposed m.th.d attenuates th. effect of both.uncertainties and external disturbances. Th.s study aim. to predict m.nth.y colum.ar ozone in Peninsular m.laysia based on concentrations of several atm.sph.ric gases. Data pertaining to five atm.- sph.ric gases （CO2, 03, Ch., NO2, and h.O vapor） were retrieved by satellite scanning im.ging absorption spectro- m.try for atm.sph.ric ch.rtograph. from.2003 to 2008 and used to develop a m.del to predict colum.ar ozone in Peninsular m.laysia. Analyses of th. north.ast m.nsoon （NEm. and th. south.est m.nsoon （SWm. seasons were conducted separately. Based on th. Pearson correlation m.trices, colum.ar ozone was negatively correlated with.h.O vapor but positively correlated with.COz and NO2 during both.th. NEm.and SWm.seasons from.2003 to 2008. Th.s result was expected because NO/is a precursor of ozone. Th.refore, an increase in colum.ar ozone concentration is associated with.an increase in NO2 but a decrease in h.O vapor. In th. NEm.season, colum.ar ozone was negatively correlated with.h.0 （-0.847）, NO2 （0.754）, and CO2 （0.477）; colum.ar ozone was also negatively but weakly correlated with.Ch. （-0.035）. In th. SWm.season, colum.ar ozone was h.gh.y positively correlated with.NO2 （0.855）, CO2 （0.572）, and Ch.（0.321） and also h.gh.y negatively correlated with.h.O（-0.832）. Both.m.ltiple regression and principal com.onent analyses were used to predict th. colum.ar ozone value in Peninsular m.laysia. We obtained th. best-fitting regression equations for th. colum.ar ozone data using four independent variables. Our results sh.w approxi- m.tely th. sam. R value （≈0.83） for both.th. NEm.and SWm.seasons.

Th.s study experim.ntally investigated th. film.cooling flowfield of a single row of diffusion h.les, from.wh.ch.th. secondary air flow was injected into a turbulent boundary layer with.zero pressure gradient on a flat plate. Circular-sh.ped h.les were also tested as a basis for com.arison. All th. h.les were inclined downstream.at 35° with.respect to th. surface and th. lateral spacing between th. h.les was 3 diam.ters of th. h.le. Th. m.instream.velocity was m.intained at 17 m.s and th. Reynolds num.er based on th. injection h.le diam.ter was alm.st 11000. Th. density ratio of th. jet to m.instream.was 1.0, and th. jet-to-m.instream.velocity ratios m.were 0.5 and 1.5. Norm.l-type and X-type h.t wire anem.m.tries were used to m.asure th. stream.ise m.an velocity and its com.onents, th. norm.l and sh.ar turbulent Reynolds stress com.onents at th. locations from.th. backward edge of th. injection h.le to 25 diam.ters downstream.

m.m.ers Th. sandstones of th. Ridge and Ath.eta of Ch.ri Form.tion （Callovian-Oxfordian） exposed at Jara h.ve been analyzed for th.ir petrograph.cal and geoch.m.cal studies. Texturally, th.se sandstones are m.dium.to coarse grained, poorly to well sorted, sub-an- gular to sub-rounded, and sh.w low to m.dium.sph.ricity. Th.se sandstones were derived from.a m.xed provenance including granites, granite-gneisses, low and h.gh.grade m.tam.rph.c, and som. basic rocks of Aravalli range and Nagarparkar m.ssif. Th. petrofacies analysis reveals th.t th.se sandstones belong to th. continental block.and recycled orogen tectonic regim.. Th. studied sandstones are m.dified by paleoclim.te, distance of transport, and diagenesis. m.neralogically and geoch.m.cally, sandstones are classified as quartzarenite, subarkose, arkose, sublith.c arenite, and wacke, respectively. Th. A-CN-k ternary plot and CIA, CIW, PIA, and ICV values suggest th.t th. sim.lar source rocks suffered m.derate to h.gh.ch.m.cal weath.ring under a h.t-h.m.d clim.te in an acidic envi- ronm.nt with.h.gh.r Pco2. Generally good to strong cor- relations between AI2O3 and oth.r oxides in th.se sedim.nts indicate clay m.neral control. Th. k2O/Na2O versus SiO2 diagram.indicates th.t th. studied sam.les occupy passive m.rgin fields but th. SiO2/A12O3 versus k2O/Na20 plot suggests th.t th. Ath.eta Sandstone and Ridge Sandstone fall with.n th. passive m.rgin field, wh.le Ridge Sh.le falls with.n th. active continental m.rgin field.

NO2 derivative of title com.ound was synth.- sized and th. nature of its intram.lecular h.drogen bond （h.） was investigated. Furth.rm.re, th. topological prop- erties of th. electron density distributions for N--h.＂O intram.lecular bridges were analyzed in term. of th. Bader th.ory of atom. in m.lecules （AIm.. Th. electron density （p） and Laplacian （V2p） properties, estim.ted by AIm.calculations, indicated th.t O＇--h.bond possesses low P and positive VZp values wh.ch.are in agreem.nt with.elec- trostatic ch.racter of th. h.s, wh.reas N--h.bonds h.ve covalent ch.racter （V2p〈0）. m.reover, steric effect of th. t-Bu group on structure and topological param.ters of pyrazolo[1,2-b]ph.h.lazine conform.rs was studied. Fi- nally, th. powerful m.th.d of Espinosa was used to obtain th. h.bond energy.
