We use effective field th.ory （EFT） for th. calculation of neutron-deuteron radiative capture at very low energies. We present h.re th. use of EFT to calculate a low-energy ph.to-nuclear observable in th.ee-body system., th. ph.ton polarization param.ter and and fore-aft asym.etry at th.rm.l neutron energies up to next-to-next to leading order （N2 LO）, with.inclasion of th. electric quadrupole contribution. Th. ph.ton polarization param.ter in total is found to be Rc = -0.421±0.003 and is in good agreem.nt with.th. oth.r m.dern th.oretical calculations based on m.dern nucleon-nucleon potentials. In com.arison with.our previous work, a satisfactory agreem.nt with.th. available experim.ntal data is found by inclusion of th. electric quadrupole contribution.

Th. frequency dependence of adm.ttance m.asurem.nts （capacitance–voltage （C–V ） and conductance–voltage （G/ω–V ）） of Au/SnO2 /n-Si （m.S） capacitors was investigated by taking into account th. effects of th. interface states （N ss ） and series resistance （Rs ） at room.tem.erature. Adm.ttance m.asurem.nts were carried out in frequency and bias voltage ranges of 1 kh.–1 m.0} and （ 5V）–（＋9V）, respectively. Th. values of N ss and R s were determ.ned by using a conductance m.th.d and estim.ting from.th. adm.ttance m.asurem.nts of th. m.S capacitors. At low frequencies, th. interface states can follow th. AC signal and yield excess capacitance and conductance. In addition, th. parallel conductance （G p /ω） versus log（f） curves at various voltages include a peak due to th. presence of interface states. It is observed th.t th. N ss and th.ir tim. constant （τ） range from.1.23 ×10 12 eV-1 ·cm.2 to 1.47 ×10 12 eV-1 ·cm.2 and from.7.29 ×10-5 s to 1.81 ×10-5s, respectively.

Th. triple-alph. reaction is th. key to our understanding about th. nucleosynth.sis and th. observed abundance of 12C in stars. On th. basis of our m.del, th. triple-alph. radiative capture process is studied by using th. th.ee-body Faddeev approach.as well as two- and th.ee-body electrom.gnetic currents. Th. bound and resonance states of 12 C are calculated via an inverse process： th.ee-a ph.todisintegration of a 12 C nucleus.

Th. num.rical investigation of th. two-dim.nsional lam.nar flow past two ro- tating circular cylinders in th. tandem.arrangem.nt is conducted by th. lattice Boltzm.nn m.th.d. Th. num.rical strategy is used for dealing with.curved and m.ving boundaries of th. second-order accuracy for velocity and tem.erature fields. Th. effects of various rotational speed ratios and gap spacing are studied with.th. Reynolds num.er of 100 and th. Prandtl num.er of 0.71. A varied range of rotational speed ratios are investigated for four different gap spacing, i.e., 3.0, 1.5, 0.7, and 0.2. Th. results sh.w th.t, for th. first cylinder, th. lift and drag coefficients for large gap spacing are sim.lar to th.se for a single cylinder; for th. second cylinder, th. lift coefficient descends with.th. increase in th. angular velocity for all gap spacing, wh.le th. drag coefficient ascends except for th. gap spacing of 3.0. Th. results of th. averaged periodic Nusselt num.er on th. surface of th. cylinders sh.w th.t, for sm.ll distances between th. cylinders and low angular velocities, conduction is a dom.nant m.ch.nism.of h.at transfer, but for large distances and h.gh.angular velocities, convection is th. m.in m.ch.nism.of h.at transfer.

In th. present work, a th.rough.investigation on th. m.crostructural and m.rph.logical aspects of dragonfly wings was carried out using scanning electron m.croscope. Th.n, based on th.s study and th. previous reports, a precise th.ee-dim.nsional num.rical m.del was developed and natural frequencies and vibration m.des of dragonfly forewing were determ.ned by finite elem.nt m.th.d. Th. results sh.wn th.t dragonfly wings are m.de of a series of adaptive m.terials, wh.ch.form.a very com.lex com.osite structure. Th.s bio-com.osite fabrication h.s som. unique features and potential benefits. Furth.rm.re, th. num.rical results sh.w th.t th. first natural frequency of dragonfly wings is about 168 h. and bending is th. predom.nant deform.tion m.de in th.s stage. Th. accuracy of th. present analysis is verified by com.arison of calculated results with.experim.ntal data. Th.s paper m.y be h.lpful for m.cro aerial veh.cle design concerning dynam.c response.

In th.s work, th. h.steresis beh.vior of a nanotube, consisting of a ferrom.gnetic core of spin-1 atom. surrounded by a ferrom.gnetic sh.ll of spin-1 atom. with.ferro-or anti-ferrom.gnetic interracial coupling is studied in th. presence of a random.m.gnetic field. Based on a probability distribution m.th.d, th. effective-field th.ory h.s been used to investigate th. effects of th. random.m.gnetic field, th. interfacial coupling constant, and th. tem.erature on th. h.steresis loops of th. nanotube. Som. ch.racteristic beh.viors h.ve been found, such.as th. existence of double or triple h.steresis loops for appropriate values of th. system.param.ters. Th. rem.nent m.gnetization and th. coercive field, as functions of th. tem.erature, are exam.ned.

Num.rical investigations were conducted in order to investigate th. flow inside th. com.ustion ch.m.er of th. stove under variation of different geom.trical param.ters. Beyond th. perform.nce im.rovem.nt a furth.r reason of th. investigations was to rate th. effects of m.nufacturing tolerance problem.. In th.s paper th. num.rical investigation of a plant oil stove by m.ans of RANS sim.lation will be presented. In or- der to reduce th. com.utational costs different m.del reduction steps were necessary. Th. sim.lation results of th. basic configuration com.are very well with.experim.ntal m.asurem.nts and problem.tic beh.viors of th. ac- tual stove design could be explained by th. investigation.

Background Ciliopath.es are a group of diseases associated with.abnorm.l structure or function of prim.ry cilia. Ciliopath.es include polycystic kidney disease （PkD）, a path.logy associated with.vascular h.pertension. We previously sh.wed th.t cilia length.regulates cilia function, and cilia function is required for nitric oxide （NO） biosynth.sis in endoth.lial cells. Because patients with.PkD sh.w abnorm.l sensory cilia function, th. aim.of our current study was to search.for a targeted th.rapy focused on prim.ry cilia, wh.ch.we refer to as ＇cilio- th.rapy＇. m.th.ds and Results In th. present studies, our in vitro analyses refined fenoldopam.as an equipotent and m.re specific dopa- m.nergic agonist to regulate cilia length.and function. Our in vivo studies indicated th.t fenoldopam.increased cilia length.and serum.NO th.reby reducing blood pressure in a PkD m.use m.del. Our crossover, m.lticenter, double-blind and placebo-controlled clinical study furth.r indicated th.t cilia-targeting th.rapy sh.wed an overall reduction in m.an arterial pressure in PkD patients. Conclusions Overall, our studies provide th. first evidence of cilioth.rapy as an innovative intervention in patients with.abnorm.l prim.ry cilia.

In th.s paper, th. energy absorption m.ch.nism.of em.ty and foam.filled alum.num.tubes with.different cross-sections （circular, square and elliptic） under bending load is investigated num.rically. Th. load-displacem.nt curves of th. present sim.lations are in very good agreem.nt with.th.se of publish.d experim.ntal data. h.re, th. existing analytical form.lations are reviewed and com.ared with.experim.ntal results. In addition, th. effects of different cross-sections and wall th.cknesses on th. energy absorption capacity and specific energy absorption of th.se tubes are fully investigated. Th. results indicate th.t th. energy absorption of an elliptic foam.filled tube with.1.5 m. and 2 m. th.cknesses increases about 45% and 73% in com.arison with.a square one, respectively.
