Math.matical model is developed for peristaltic flow of viscous fluid th.ough.a compliant wall ch.nnel subject to melting h.at transfer. Fluid is incompressible and magnetoh.- drodynamic. Analysis h.s been performed in th. presence of Joule h.ating and th.rmal radiation. Solutions for small wave number are obtained. Ph.sical quantities of interest are examined for various parameters of interest.

Asymmetry h.re is con- sidered due to wave trains of different amplitudes and ph.ses. Solutions for th. velocity, temperature and pressure gradient are obtained using long wavelength.approximation. Plots reflecting th. impact of various parameters of interest are sh.wn and examined.

Th.s work is concerned with.th. peristaltic transport of th. Joh.son-Segalman fluid in an asymmetric ch.nnel with.convective boundary conditions. Th. math.matical modeling is based upon th. conservation laws of mass, linear momentum, and energy. Th. resulting equations are solved after long wavelength.and low Reynolds number are used. Th. results for th. axial pressure gradient, velocity, and temperature profiles are obtained for small Weissenberg number. Th. expressions of th. pressure gra-dient, velocity, and temperature are analyzed for various embedded parameters. Pumping and trapping ph.nomena are also explored.

Musa beccarii *** var. beccarii and Musa beccarii *** var. h.ttana h.kkinen were described earlier in Acta Ph.totaxonomica et Geobotanica based on th.ir morph.logical ch.racteristics. In order to distinguish.th. genomes between th. two M. beccarii varieties and M. coccinea Andrews, we h.ve now studied th.m with.th. Inter- Retrotransposon Amplified Polymorph.sm (IRAP) marker analyses. Th. h.gh.levels of IRAP polymorph.sm detected in th.s study sh.wed th.t M. beccarii var. beccarii and M. beccarii var. h.ttana are two distinct varieties. Additional IRAP bands found in M. beccarii var. beccarii indicated th.t M. beccarii var. h.ttana migh. be evolutionarily more ancient th.n M. beccarii var. beccarii because LTR retrotransposons are not transpositionally removed.

A solid state reaction meth.d was used to synth.size barium titanate （BT） and barium cerium titanate （BCT） ceramics at sintering temperature of 1473 K for 4 h. Th. effect of cerium （Ce） on th. structure, microstructure and dielectric properties of BCT was investigated. Th. scanning electron microscopy （SEM） investigations revealed th.t th. grain size increases with.increasing Ce content. Th. X-ray diffraction （XI^D） patterns sh.wed mostly th. BT ph.se, wh.re th. lattice parameter decreased with.th. addition of Ce. Th. temperature dependence of dielectric constant sh.wed decrease in th. ph.se transition temperature with.h.gh.r Ce content. Th. dielectric constant decreased sligh.ly with.increasing frequency. Th. direct current （dc） density-voltage ch.racteristics of th. ceramics sh.wed oh.ic beh.vior for both.th. BT and BCT. As th. temperature increased, th. dc resistivity of th. ceramics decreased. Th. activation energy increased with.increasing Ce content.

Antigenic determinants expressed on th. bacterial cell surface are of importance in th. serological ch.racterization and microbiological diagnosis. Th. bacterial strains carrying th.se identical or similar antigenic epitopes migh. react with.antibodies produced against oth.r strains. In th.s study, strong immunogenicity and antigenic cross reactivity were demonstrated among V. ch.lerae O1, S. flexnerii 2a and h. influenzae b surface components. Th. enzyme linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA） results were supported by Western blot analysis, wh.re at least 20 antigenic bands, were obtained in each.of th. reactions, wh.n th. surface components were reacted with.th. h.mologous antisera. Th. indirect ELISA results also demonstrated h.gh.degree of antigenic relatedness between th. surface components of th.se species, wh.re each.surface component was reacted with.th. h.terologous antisera. Western blot analysis also revealed cross reactions between th. surface components suggesting common distribution of antigens/epitopes in th.se bacterial species. Th.s study, th.s, gave a clear idea of th. level of antigenic sh.ring and variations among th. path.genic V. ch.lerae O1, S. flexneri 2a and h. influenzae b strains, wh.ch.in future, may h.lp in selecting a proper candidate for vaccines and immunodiagnostics development.

In th.s paper, we present a new approach.(Kalman Filter Smooth.ng) to estimate and forecast survival of Diabetic and Non Diabetic Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery (CABG) patients. Survival proportions of th. patients are obtained from a lifetime representing parametric model (Weibull distribution with.Kalman Filter approach.. Moreover, an approach.of complete population (CP) from its incomplete population (IP) of th. patients with.12 years observations/follow-up is used for th.ir survival analysis [1]. Th. survival proportions of th. CP obtained from Kaplan Meier meth.d are used as observed values yt?at time t (input) for Kalman Filter Smooth.ng process to update time varying parameters. In case of CP, th. term representing censored observations may be dropped from likelih.od function of th. distribution. Maximum likelih.od meth.d, in-conjunction with.Davidon-Fletch.r-Powell (DFP) optimization meth.d [2] and Cubic Interpolation meth.d is used in estimation of th. survivor’s proportions. Th. estimated and forecasted survival proportions of CP of th. Diabetic and Non Diabetic CABG patients from th. Kalman Filter Smooth.ng approach.are presented in terms of statistics, survival curves, discussion and conclusion.

AIM： To investigate th. immunogenicity of h.pylori proteins, to evaluate th. production rate of anti h.pylori IgG antibodies in relation to time and to demonstrate th. fidelity of newly optimized in-h.use enzymelinked immunosorbent assay （ELISA） tech.ique as an alternative for h.pylori infection assay. METh.DS： In th. present study, 100 μg of formalinfixed h.pylori wh.le cell antigens was injected into an experimental animal （New Zealand wh.te female rabbit） intramuscularly on d 0, 16, 27 and 35. Th. first two doses were injected with.adjuvants. On d 0, a serum sample was collected from th. rabbit before immunization and th.s pre-immunized serum was used as a negative control for th. wh.le study. To evaluate th. immunogenic responses of th. injected antigen, serum samples were collected from th. rabbit at regular intervals up to d 42. Th. sera were analyzed using inh.use ELISA and Western blot tech.iques.RESULTS： Th. production of anti h.ylor/IgG antibodies in th. rabbit in response to th. injected antigen increased almost exponentially up to d 14 and after th.t it was maintained at th. same level until th. last day （d 42）. By analyzing th. immune profiles of immunized sera, 11 proteins were identified to be immunogenic, among th.m 2 （approximately 100 kDa and 85 kDa） were most prominent. CONCLUSION： Analysis of th. immune responses against path.genic microorganisms like h.py/ori is necessary for th. development of various diagnostic and preventive approach.s. Th. results of th.s experiment reveal th.t th. formalin-fixed h.pylori wh.le cell antigens injected into th. rabbit are h.gh.y immunogenic. Th.se prominent proteins （approximately 100 kDa and 85 kDa） migh. h.ve h.gh.r immunogenic effects among h.mans infected with.h.pylori and some of th.se immunogenic proteins can be included in diagnostic approach.s based on serology and also for vaccine formulation. Th. in- h.use ELISA is a promising alternative compared to invasive tech.iques.

Th. h.patotoxic effect of potassium bromide(KBr)on rat liver tissues were determined,as well as th. potential protective effect of Tegillaraca granosa(***)flesh.body *** adult male albino rats were equally distributed into four groups;Group(I)treated with.ph.siological saline(control group),Group(II)was orally gavaged by 200 mg/kg of *** body extract day after day,Group(III)was intoxicated by KBr(150 mg/kg bwt day after day orally)and finally,Group(IV)was given a combination of *** flesh.body extract plus KBr with.similar doses in th. second and th.rd *** th. end of one month.blood,liver tissue and bone marrow samples were collected to be used for th. required laboratory *** response to KBr toxicity,th.re was a significant increase in serum antioxidant biomarkers,wh.ch.was accompanied by a significant ch.nge in h.patocyte ultrastructure and a significant ch.nge in carboh.drate and protein levels with.n th. liver *** addition,KBr intoxication resulted in a substantial increase in th. incidence of ch.omosomal aberrations such.as h.les,splits,deletions,fragments,ploidy,and ring ch.omosomes,as well as significant upregulation of TGF-1,VEGF,and COX-2 gene *** h.patotoxic effect of KBr was counteracted by treatment with.*** flesh.body *** flesh.body extract h.s a curative antioxidant and numerous protective effects against KBr h.patotoxicity.
