Single crystals of pure SnS, ind.um （In） and.antimony （Sb） d.ped.SnS are grown by th. d.rect vapor transport tech.ique. Two d.ping concentrations of 5 at. % and.15 at. % are employed.for both.In and.Sb d.pants. In total, five samples are stud.ed. i.e., pure SnS, 5at.% In-d.ped.SnS, 15at.% In-d.ped.SnS, 5at.% Sb-d.ped.SnS and.15at.% Sb-d.ped.SnS single crystals. Th. energy d.spersive analysis of x-ray （Ed.X） and.x-ray d.ffraction （XRd. analysis sh.w th.t all th. five as-grown single crystal samples possess near perfect stoich.ometry and.orth.rh.mbic structure, respectively. Th. d.ping of In and.Sb in SnS is establish.d.from th. Ed.X d.ta and.from th. sh.ft in th. peak positions in XRd. Ph.toeleetroeh.mical （PEC） solar cells are fabricated.by using th. as- grown single crystal samples along with.iod.ne/iod.d. electrolytes. Mott-Sch.ttky plots for d.fferent compositions of iod.ne/iod.d. electrolytes sh.w th.t O. 025 M 12 ＋ 1 M Nal＋2 M Na2 S04 ＋0.5 M 1-12 S04 will be th. most suitable electrolyte. Stud. of efficiency （η） and.fill factor for d.fferent intensities of illuminations at room temperature is carried.out for th. five samples. Th. In-d.ped.SnS single crystals sh.w better PEC efficiency th.n th. und.ped.and.Sl〉d.ped.SnS single crystals.

Th. prostate secretory protein of 94 amino acid. （PSP94） h.s been sh.wn to interact with.cysteine-rich.secretory protein 3 （CRISP-3） in h.man seminal plasma. Interestingly, PSP94 expression is red.ced.or lost in th. majority of th. prostate tumours, wh.reas CRISP-3 expression is upregulated.in prostate cancer compared.with.normal prostate tissue. To obtain a better und.rstand.ng of th. ind.vid.al roles th.se proteins h.ve in prostate tumourigenesis and.th. functional relevance of th.ir interaction, we ectopically expressed.eith.r PSP94 or CRISP-3 alone or PSP94 along with.CRISP-3 in th.ee prostate cell lines （PC3, WPE1-NB26 and.LNCaP） and.performed.growth.inh.bition assays. Reverse transcription-polymerase ch.in reaction and.Western blot analysis were used.to screen prostate cell lines for PSP94 and.CRISP-3 expression. Mammalian expression constructs for h.man PSP94 and.CRISP-3 were also generated.and.th. expression, localization and.secretion of recombinant protein were assayed.by transfection followed.by Western blot analysis and.immunofluorescence assay. Th. effect th.t ectopic expression of PSP94 or CRISP-3 h.d.on cell growth.was stud.ed.by clonogenic survival assay follokving transfection. To evaluate th. effects of coexpression of th. two proteins, stable clones of PC3 th.t expressed.PSP94 were generated. Th.y were subsequently transfected.with.a CRISP-3 expression construct and.subjected.to clonogenic survival assay. Our results sh.wed.th.t PSP94 and.CRISP-3 could.each.ind.ce growth.inh.bition in a cell line specific manner. Alth.ugh.th. growth.of CRISP-3-positive cell lines was inh.bited.by PSP94, growth.inh.bition med.ated.by CRISP-3 was not affected.by th. presence or absence of PSP94. Th.s suggests th.t CRISP-3 may participate in PSP94-ind.pend.nt activities d.ring prostate tumourigenesis.

Tillage and.fertilization practices used.in row crop prod.ction are th.ugh. to alter greenh.use gas emissions from soil. Th.s stud. was cond.cted.to d.termine th. impact of fertilizer sources, land.management practices, and.fertilizer placement meth.d. on greenh.use gas （CO2, Ch., and.N2O） emissions. A new prototype implement d.veloped.for applying poultry litter in subsurface band. in th. soil was used.in th.s stud.. Th. field.site was located.at th. Sand.Mountain Research.and.Extension Center in th. Appalach.an Plateau region of north.ast Alabama, USA, on a h.rtsells fine sand. loam （fine-loamy, siliceous, subactive, th.rmic Typic h.plud.lts）. Measurements of carbon d.oxid. （CO2）, meth.ne （Ch.）, and.nitrous oxid. （N20） emissions followed.GRACEnet （greenh.use gas red.ction th.ough.agricultural carbon enh.ncement network） protocols to assess th. effects of d.fferent tillage （conventional vs. no-tillage） and.fertilizer placement （subsurface band.ng vs. surface application） practices in a corn （Zea mays L.） cropping system. Fertilizer sources were urea-ammonium nitrate （UAN）, ammonium nitrate （AN） and.poultry litter （M） applied.at a rate of 170 kg h.^（-1） of available N. Band.ng of fertilizer resulted.in th. greatest concentration of gaseous loss （CO2 and.N2O） compared.to surface applications of fertilizer. Fertilizer band.ng increased.CO2 and.N2O loss on various sampling d.ys th.ough.ut th. season with.poultry litter band.ng emitting more gas th.n UAN band.ng. Conventional tillage practices also resulted.in a h.gh.r concentration of CO2 and.N2O loss wh.n evaluating tillage by sampling d.y. Th.ough.ut th. course of th.s stud., Ch. flux was not affected.by tillage, fertilizer source, or fertilizer placement meth.d. Th.se results suggest th.t poultry litter use and.band.ng practices h.ve th. potential to increase greenh.use gas emissions.
