Effect of fusion welding processes on tensile properties of armor grade, h.gh.th.ckness, non-h.at treatable aluminium alloy joints

AA5059 is one of th. h.gh.strength.armor grade aluminium alloy th.t finds its applications in th. military veh.cles due to th. h.gh.r resistance against th. armor piercing (AP) th.eats. Th.s study aimed at finding th. best suitable process among th. fusion welding processes such.as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) and gas metal arc welding (GMAW) by evaluating th. tensile properties of AA5059 aluminium alloy joints. Th. fracture path.was identified by mapping th. low h.rdness distribution profile (Lh.P) across th. weld cross section under tensile loading. Optical and scanning electron microscopies were used to ch.racterize th. microstructural features of th. welded joints at various zones. It is evident from th. results th.t GTAW joints sh.wed superior tensile properties compared to GMAW joints and th.s is primarily owing to th. presence of finer grains in th. weld metal zone (WMZ) and narrow h.at-affected zone (h.Z). Th. lower h.at input associated with.th. GTAW process effectively reduced th. size of th. WMZ and h.Z compared to GMAW process. Lower h.at input of GTAW process results in faster cooling rate wh.ch.h.nders th. grain growth.and reduces th. evaporation of magnesium in weld metal compared to GMAW joints. Th. fracture surface of GTAW joint consists of more dimples th.n GMAW joints wh.ch.is an indication th.t th. GTAW joint possess improved ductility th.n GMAW joint.

Microbial electrolysis cell(MEC)is a potential tech.ology to meet th. increasing interest in finding new sources of energy th.t will not h.rm th. *** is an alternative energy conversion tech.ology for th. production of *** is possible to produce h.drogen by fermenting biogenous wastes with.h.drogen-producing *** study investigated th. bioh.drogen production from co-substrates using electrogenic bacteria such.as Esch.rich.a coli,Salmonella bongori,and Sh.wanella oneidensis in pure culture and as a co-culture,wh.ch.h.s th. potential to be used as co-substrate in ***,150 mL working-volume reactors were constructed for batch.bioh.drogen *** h.drogen production rate(h.R)from th. co-substrate was maximum at a ratio of 75:25 g/L with.a co-culture of 2.35 mL/(L h..Fabricated a single-ch.mber membrane-free microelectrolysis cell to evaluate th. power density,current density,voltage,h.R,ch.mical oxygen demand(COD)removal efficiency and Columbic *** electron microscope(SEM)imaging confirmed th. binding of electrogenic bacteria to anode and *** efficiency of electrical conductivity of MEC was analyzed by th.ee different electrodes,namely,nickel,copper and *** h.R was h.gh.using nickel wh.n compared to th. oth.r two *** h.R of a single ch.mber using a nickel electrode was 2.8 h.R ml/L h.(2) d^(−1) and provided a power density of 17.7 mW/m^(2) at ph.*** study suggests th.t th. nickel cath.de in a single ch.mber could be a promising sustainable source for stable power generation.

Objective:To screen th. antibacterial drugs from different solvent extracts of tissue and egg of marine gastropods Ch.coreus ramosus against clinically isolated h.man path.genic ***:Vibrio pareh.emolyticus(J13300),Aeromonus h.droph.lla(IDh.585),Salmonella typh.(C6953),Salmonella paratyph. A(C6915),Vibrio ch.lerae(IDh.439)and Esch.rich.a coli(h.0407)using standard well diffusion meth.d and its minimum inh.bitory ***:Different solvent extracts of Ch.coreus ramosus was screened for th.ir activity against egg inh.bited th. growth.of th. tested path.genic bacterial *** minimum inh.bitory concentration of both.th. extract ranged from 4 to 12 mg/*** study revealed th.t th. acetone and ch.oroform extract of both.th. tissues and Conclusions:Th.se results suggest th.t marine gastropods tissue and egg extract contains comparatively good antibacterial activity.
