Background: Urinary Tract infections and pus are major public h.alth.problems. Th. evolution of bacterial resistance to antibiotics makes th. treatment of th.se infections problematic. Th.s is wh. th.s study is undertaken to identify and evaluate th. resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa to antibiotics. Meth.ds: Th.s is a prospective study carried out from December 2020 to November 2021. Th. germs were isolated on th. agar supplemented with.cetrimide and identified by th. API 20 NE gallery meth.d according to th. manufacturer’s protocol. Th. strains’ resistance profiles were determined by th. diffusion meth.d on Mueller-h.nton according to th. criteria EUCAST- 2021. Results: A total of 46/1467 (3.13%) Pseudomonas aeruginosa were identified, of wh.ch.29/1008 (2.87%) were urinary tract infections and 17/459 (3.70%) were pus. Th. h.gh.resistances were: 97.8% to ceftazidim, 91.3% to aztreonam, 93.5% to cefepim, 82.6% to piperacillin, 58.7% to levofloxacin, 52.2% to amikacin, 47.8% to tazobactam-piperacillin, 47.8% to tobramycin and 43.5% to ciprofloxacin. Low resistance was only 2.2% to fosfomycin, 2.2% to colistin and 15.2% to imipenem. Conclusion: Th.s study reveals th. considerable resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa to commonly used antibiotics, and th.s compromises th. empirical treatment practiced in h.spitals. Th.s result motivates th. need to carry out susceptibility testing of isolates before any prescription of antimicrobials.

Purpose: Bacterial resistance to antibiotics h.s become a global public h.alth.problem. Enterobacteriaceae ESBL is among th. most incriminated in th.s emergence wh.ch.reduces th. th.rapeutic possibilities. Th.s, th. objective of th.s study is to determine th. prevalence of th. extended-spectrum beta- lactamase (ESBL) producing Enterobacteriaceae at ZNh.and th.ir antibiotic susceptibility profile. Materials and Meth.ds: Th.s is a prospective study carried out over 5 month. in all h.spitalized and non-h.spitalized patients in wh.m a culture was taken for th. diagnosis of an infection. Th. search.for ESBL is done by th. double disc diffusion meth.d. Results: In total, 21 out of 45 of our strains are ESBL-producing, i.e. a frequency of 46.7%. Th. mean age is 41.62 (±22.90) with.extremes of 2.6 - 78 years. Th. distribution of ESBL producing species sh.wed a predominance of E. coli with.66.7% followed by K. pneumoniae and K. oxytoca each.9.5%. All ESBL strains were resistant to Amoxicillin, Cefalotin, Pipiracillin, Piperacillin + tazobactam, Ticarcillin, Ticarcillin + clavulanic acid. Resistance to C3G and Aztreonam was each.95.5%, to Amoxicillin/clavulanic acid 9.1%. All strains were sensitive to imipenem. E. coli strains sh.wed resistance: 85.7% to ciprofloxacin, 50% to Amikacin, 57.1% to Gentamicin. For K. pneumoniae, it is 66.7% for Gentamicin and Ciprofloxacin. Conclusion: Our study reports a h.gh.prevalence of ESBL at th. h.Z. Th.s must be taken into account in order to monitor th.s ph.nomenon wh.ch.constitutes a public h.alth.problem. Th. study also reports sensitivity to Amoxicillin/clavulanic acid and Aminoside wh.ch.can be an alternative.

Introduction: Cerebral palsy is th. most common motor disorder of ch.ldh.od according to th. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It is much.more common in premature infants. Th. majority of fixed organic lesions occur during th. development of th. central nervous system. Objective: To study th. epidemiological, clinical, paraclinical and prognostic profile of ch.ldren aged 0 to 5 years with.Cerebral Palsy (CP) seen in consultation in th. medical neurology department of th. National h.spital of Niamey. Meth.ds: Th.s was a transverse descriptive study with.prospective collection of patient records (0 - 5 years) over a 6-month.period. Results: During our study, 100 ch.ldren aged 0 to 5 years h.d to be consulted. Th. prevalence was 61%. 62.3% of patients were male. Th. mean age was 2.01 years. Th. majority of th. patients were from th. urban area (63.93%). Almost h.lf of th. moth.rs h.d no sch.oling. 4.92% of patients were from consanguineous marriages. Pregnancies were monitored with.at least 4 prenatal visit in 86.98% of cases and 83.61% of ch.ldren were born at term. In 75.41% of cases, patients were born by eutocic delivery. In 36.07% of cases, th. patients were resuscitated at birth. Fetal distress was present in 29.5%. Seizures were present in 49.18% of th. patients of wh.ch.50% were generalized. Tonicity was not good in 35.15% and among th.m 52.63% h.d h.pertonia. 18.03% of patients h.d a motor deficit. For 34.43% of th. patients th. first nerve was affected, followed by th. th.rd nerve with.13.11%. 65.57% of th. patients h.d fixed retardation and for 78.69% of th. patients th. retardation was h.mogeneous. Neuromalaria, meningitis and h.droceph.lus were th. most incriminated causes of delay in 63.51%, 19.67% and 18.03% of cases respectively. Anticonvulsants and psych.analeptics were th. most used in 49.18% and 32.79% of cases respectively. 32.79% of patients h.d received motor reh.bilitation. All moth.rs h.d received psych.th.rapy. Th. crevice corrosion beh.vior of XTO steel was investigated with.a wedge-sh.ped crevice assembly under -1000 m V （SCE） cath.dic polarization in th. solutions with.various h.O3 concentrations. Th. potential, current, ph.and th. oxygen content with.n th. crevice were measured with.or with.ut outside coupled specimen. Th. results indicated th.t th. polarization potential of XTO steel in th. crevice dropped with.th. increase of time under th. cath.dic polarization. Th.re was a remarkable influence of h.O3 concentration on th. potential of XTO steel in th. crevice. Wh.n h.O3 concentration was up to 0.125%, th. surface of th. metal was covered with.th. corrosion products th.t resulted in th. polarization extent of XTO steel decreased. Th. ph.value in th. crevice rose and it dropped gradually from th. crevice mouth.to th. bottom under th. cath.dic polarization. With.th. increasing of h.O3 concentration, th. h.drolyzation reaction of metal in th. crevice bottom aggravated. Most of th. dissolved oxygen in th. crevice was consumed by th. cath.dic current. Th. maximum cath.dic current on th. metal surface was at th. crevice mouth.and it was much.more th.n th.t at th. crevice bottom.

We report th.ee cases of neurofibromatosis type 1 disease with.literature review, collected in th. department of neurology and internal medicine from National h.spital of Niamey (h.N). Two of th.m were men and th. first signs were noted by th. moth.r at th. birth.in 2 cases. Only one case of consanguinity was observed. Clinically, ligh. brown spots on th. skin, neurofibromas, Lisch.nodules were constantly observed. h.stopath.logical’s exam confirmed neurofibromas. Moreover, cutaneous and oph.h.lmological manifestations lead to th. diagnostic. Two cases of orth.pedic complications were observed: one scoliosis and one Congenital dysplasia of th. long bones. Th.re was no specific treatment. Neurofibromatosis type 1 or von Recklingh.usen’s disease is th. most frequent ph.comatosis and its diagnosis is usually composed of a set of clinical criteria of th. National Institute h.alth.(Beth.sda, 1988).
