Protocol for lower back pain management: insights from the French healthcare system

in this editorial we comment on the article published in a recent issue of the World Journal of Clinical *** article described a novel ultrasound-guided lateral recess block approach in treating a patient with lateral recess *** impact of spinal pain-related disability extends significantly,causing substantial human suffering and medical *** county has its preferred treatment strategies for spinal ***,we explore the lower back pain(LBP)treatment algorithm recommended in *** treatment algorithm for LBP recommended by the French National Authority for health emphasizes early patient activity and minimal medication *** encourages the continuation of daily activities,limits excessive medication and spinal injections,and incorporates psychological assessments and non-pharmacological therapies for chronic ***,the algorithm may not aggressively address acute pain in the early stages,potentially delaying relief and increasing the risk of ***,the recommended infiltrations primarily involve caudal epidural steroid injections,with limited consideration for other injection procedures,such as transforaminal or interlaminar epidural steroid *** fixed follow-up timeline may not accommodate patients who do not respond to initial treatment or experience intense pain,potentially delaying the exploration of alternative *** these limitations,understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the French approach could inform adaptations in LBP treatment strategies globally,potentially enhancing patient outcomes and satisfaction across diverse healthcare systems.

Skin supersoliditymatters the performance and functionality of water droplets

Even more fascinating than its bulk parent,a water droplet possesses extraordinary catalytic and hydro-voltaic capability,elastic adaptivity,hydrophobicity,sensitivity,thermal stability,etc.,but the underlying mechanism is still *** emphasize herewith that the h‒O bond follows the universal bond order‒length‒strength cor-relation and nonbonding electron polarization regulation and the hydrogen bond cooperativity and polarizability notion regulates the performance of the coupling hydrogen bond(O:h‒O).Computational and spectrometric evidence consistently shows that molecular undercoordination shortens the intramolecular h‒O bond by up to 10%while lengthening the intermolecular O:h nonbond by 20%cooperatively with an association of electron polarization,making the 0.3-nm thick droplet skin of a supersolid phase of *** supersolid skin dictates the performance and functionality of the droplet in chemical,dielectric,electrical,mechanical,optical,and thermal properties as well as the transport dynamics of electrons and *** amplification of these findings could deepen our insight into the undercoordi-nated aqueous systems,including bubbles and molecular clusters,and promote deep engineering of water and ice.

hatching and development of maize cyst nematode heterodera zeae infecting different plant hosts

The occurrence, distribution, and rapid molecular detection technology of heterodera zeae Koshy et al. 1971, have been reported in China. We explored the biological characteristics of h. zeae sampled in henan Province, China to understand its interaction with plants. Cysts and second-stage juveniles(J2s) were identified under an optical and scanning electron microscope, internal transcribed spacer(iTS) phylogenetic tree, and sequence characterized amplified region(SCAR)-PCR analyses. The optimum hatching temperatures of h. zeae were 30°C and 28°C, with cumulative hatching rates of 16.5 and 16.1%, respectively, at 30 days post-hatching(dph). The hatching rate of h. zeae eggs was improved by 20-and 50-time maize soil leachate and root juice, and 10-time root exudates. The hatching rate in 10-time root exudates was the highest(25.9%). The 10-time root exudates of maize and millet produced the highest hatching rate at 30 dph(25.9 and 22.9%, respectively), followed by wheat(19.9%), barley(18.3%), and rice(17.6%). heterodera zeae developed faster in maize than in other crops. Fourth-stage juveniles(J4s) were detected in maize roots 8 days post-inoculation(dpi) at 28°C but not in other crops. Combined with hatching tests, the huang–huai–hai summer maize region and the south and central-southwest mountainous maize areas are highly suitable for h. zeae in China. This is the first systematically study of the hatching and infection characteristics on different plant hosts of corn cyst nematode h. zeae in temperate regions. This study laid a theoretical foundation for the rapid spread and high environmental adaptability of corn cyst nematode.

intelligent gold nanocluster for effective treatment of malignant tumor via tumor-specific photothermal–chemodynamic therapy with AiE guidance

Precise and efficient therapy of malignant tumors is always a challenge. herein, gold nanoclusters co-modified by aggregation-induced-emission（AiE） molecules, copper ion chelator（acylthiourea） and tumor-targeting agent（folic acid） were fabricated to perform AiE-guided and tumor-specific synergistic therapy with great spatio-temporal controllability for the targeted elimination and metastasis inhibition of malignant tumors. During therapy, the functional gold nanoclusters（Au NTF） would rapidly accumulate in the tumor tissue due to the enhanced permeability and retention effect as well as folic acid-mediated tumor targeting, which was followed by endocytosis by tumor cells. After that, the overexpressed copper ions in the tumor cells would trigger the aggregation of these intracellular Au NTF via a chelation process that not only generated the photothermal agent in situ to perform the tumor-specific photothermal therapy damaging the primary tumor, but also led to the copper deficiency of tumor cells to inhibit its ***, the copper ions were reduced to cuprous ions along with the chelation, which further catalysed the excess h2O2in the tumor cells to produce cytotoxic reactive oxygen species, resulting in additional chemodynamic therapy for enhanced antitumor efficiency. The aggregation of Au NTF also activated the AiE molecules to present fluorescence, which not only imaged the therapeutic area for real-time monitoring of this tumor-specific synergistic therapy, but also allowed us to perform near-infrared radiation at the correct time point and location to achieve optimal photothermal therapy. Both in vitro and in vivo results revealed the strong tumor elimination, effective metastasis inhibition and high survival rate of tumor-bearing mice after treatment using the Au NTF nanoclusters, indicating that this AiE-guided and tumor-specific synergistic strategy could offer a promising approach for tumor therapy.

A rhodium-catalyzed desymmetrization reaction for enantioselective methyl C-h arylation is achieved by utilizing an in situ arylating reagent via nucleophilic cyclization of o-aminoaryl *** reaction results in chiral indoles containing all-carbon quaternary stereocenters under atmospheric conditions,with a wide range of substrates exhibiting good enantioselectivity(44 examples).Mechnism and DFT studies show that the stereocontrol is reasonably achieved through the collaborative control of a large silicon substituted chiral ligand and C-h···π,LP···πinteractions between aryl rings of the carboxylate group and the *** experiments demonstrate that Rh-aryl bond formation via in situ nucleophilic cyclization is more critical for reaction efficiency than via C-h activation of the nucleophilic cyclization byproduct.

Dual modification of LiNi_(0.83)Co_(0.11)Mn_(0.06)O_(2) cathode materials by K^(+) doping and Li_(3)PO_(4) coating for lithium ions batteries

Li_(3)PO_(4)@Li_(0.99)K_(0.01)Ni_(0.83)Co_(0.11)Mn_(O.06)O_(2)(NCM-KP) cathode powders are synthesized via K^(+)doping in calcination processes and h_3PO_4 coating in sol-gel processes.K^(+) precisely enters into the lattice to widen the(003) plane to 0.4746 nm with a lower cationic disordered degree of 1.87%.Moreover,the surface residual lithium salts are treated by h_3PO_4 to generate a uniform Li_(3)PO_(4) coating layer of approximately 11.41 nm,which completely covers on the surface of secondary spherical particles to improve the interfacial *** 25℃,the NCM-KP electrode delivers a discharge specific capacity of 148.9 mAh·g^(-1) with a remarkable capacity retention ratio of 84.1% after 200 cycles at 1.0C and retains a high reversible specific capacity of 154.4 mAh·g^(-1) at *** at 1.0C and 60℃,it can maintain a reversible discharge specific capacity of 114.6 mAh·g^(-1) with 0.21% of capacity decay per cycle after 200 cycles,which is significantly lower than 0.40% for the pristine NCM ***,the charge transfer resistance of 238.89 Ω for the NCM-KP electrode is significantly lower than 947.41 Ω for the pristine NCM one by restricting the interfacial side ***,combining K+doping and Li_(3)PO_(4) coating is an effective strategy to enable the significant improvement of the electrochemical property of high-nickel cathode materials,which may be mainly attributed to the widened diffusion pathway and the formed Li_(3)PO_(4) protective layer,thus promoting Li~+diffusion rate and preventing the erosion of hF.

By employing a new semi-rigid pyrazole-amide-derived bis(pyridyl)ligand[N,N'-bis(4-picolylamine)-1-hydropyrazole(4-dpap)],a new homopolymolybdate-based two-dimensional(2D)plate-like complex[Co(4-dpap)(h_(2)O)(β-Mo_(8)O_(2)6)1/2](1)has been prepared under solvothermal condition and structurally ***β-Mo_(8)anions are fi xed between the 2D metal–organic networks[Co(4-dpap)(h_(2)O)]n 2n+via hydrogen-bonding *** 1 possesses satisfactory specifi c capacitance of 1512.4 F·g^(−1)(current density:1 A·g^(−1))and good cycling stability(90.8%after 1000 cycles).Moreover,1 represents a promising amperometric sensor for measurement of Cr(Ⅵ)with low detection limit(0.042μmol·L^(−1))and high *** insertion ofβ-Mo_(8)anions between the unique 2D metal−organic networks improves the active area of polyoxometalates,which further promotes electrochemical performance.

Photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction driven by solar light is a green approach that can decrease the greenhouse effect induced by high CO_(2) concentration in the atmosphere and generate carbon-based chemicals/fuels as *** this paper,non-metal co-catalysts ZnO/ZnS type-ii hetero-junction nanoparticles with a rough surface were prepared through a hydrothermal *** used as a photocatalyst for CO_(2) reduction,the optimal one showed good cycle stability and a higher yield rate of 27.8µmol·g^(−1)·h^(−1) for CO_(2) conversion into *** outstanding catalytic activity originated from i)the rich interfaces between ZnO and ZnS in the nanoscale could significantly reduce the delivery path of carriers and improve the utilization efficiency of photo-excited electron/hole pairs and ii)enriched surface oxygen defects could supply much more reaction active sites for CO_(2) adsorption.

All solid-state lithium metal batteries(ASSLMBs)based on polymer solid electrolyte and lithium metal anode have attracted much attention due to their high energy density and intrinsic ***,the low ionic conductivity at room temperature and poor mechanical properties of the solid polymer electrolyte result in increased polarization and poor cycling stability of the Li metal *** order to improve the ionic conductivity at room temperature while maintaining mechanical strength,we combine the conductivity of short chain polyethylene oxide(PEO)and strength of styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer(SMA)to obtain a grafted block copolymer with nanophase separation structure,which has room temperature ionic conductivity up to 1.14×10^(-4)S/cm and tensile strength up to 1.4 ***||Li symmetric cell can work stably for more than 1500 h under the condition of 0.1 mA/cm^(2).Li||LiFePO_(4)full cells can deliver a high capacity of 151.4 mAh/g at 25℃and 0.2 C/0.2 C charge/discharge conditions,showing 85.6%capacity retention after 400 ***,the all solid state Li||LiFePO_(4)pouch cell shows excellent safety performance under different abuse *** results demonstrate that the nanophase separated,grafted alternate copolymer electrolyte has huge potential for application in Li metal batteries.
