Numerical investigation for effects of natural light and ventilation on 3D tomato body heat distribution in a Venlo greenhouse

Maintaining suitable temperature level around tomato in the greenhouse is essential for the high-quality ***,in summer,the temperature level around the tomato is usually unclear except using a high-precision temperature *** solve this problem,thermal performance of 3D(three-dimensional)tomato model built based on SolidWorks was investigated by the computational fluid dynamics(CFD)*** assess the effect of temperature distribution around the tomato,a simplified 3D tomato numerical model was firstly validated by a set of field measurement *** light intensity and indoor ventilation were regarded as the mainly environment factors in the Venlo greenhouse,thermal stratification around tomatoes at different time of day was further *** numerical results illustrated the different temperature distribution around tomato body under different radiation *** was found that ventilation could obviously adjust the temperature gradient around the tomato,and alleviate high temperature effect particularly in *** ventilation could create a suitable thermal environment for the tomato *** study clearly demonstrated 3D temperature distribution around tomatoes,which is beneficial to provide the reference for accurate detection of 3D tomato temperature and appropriate thermal environment design.

Petrogenesis of the ükapili Granitoid and its Mafic Enclaves in Elmal Area (Nigde, Central Anatolia, Turkey)

The Late Cretaceous Uckapth Granitoid including mafic microgranular enclaves intruded into metapelitic and metabasic rocks, and overlain unconformably by Neogene ignimbrites in the Ni^de area of Turkey. It is mostly granite and minor granodiorite in composition, whereas its enclaves are dominantly gabbro with a few diorites in composition. The Uckapdl Granitoid is composed mainly of quartz, K-feldspar, plagioclase, biotite, muscovite and minor amphibole while its enclaves contain mostly plagioclase, amphibole, minor pyroxene and biotite. The Uckapth Granitoid has calcalkaline and peraluminous （AJCNK= 1.0-1.3） geochemical characteristics. It is characterized by high LILE/hFSE and LREE/hREE ratios （（La/Lu）N 3-33）, and has negative Ba, Ta, Nb and Eu anomalies, resembling those of comsion granitoids. The {）fkaplh Granitoid has relatively high STSr/S6Sr0） ratios （0.711189--0.716061） and low eNd（t） values （-5.13 to -7.13）, confirming crustal melting. In contrast, the enclaves are tholeiitic and metaluminous, and slightly enriched in LILEs （K, Rb） and Th, and have negative Ta, Nb and Ti anomalies; propose that they were derived from a subduction-modified mantle source. Based on mineral and whole rock chemistry data, the Uckapth granitoid is h-（hybrid） type, post-collision granitoid developed by mixing/mingllng processes between crustal melts and mantle-derived mafic magmas.

Evaluation of a developed bypass viscous damper performance

In this study,the dynamic behavior of a developed bypass viscous damper is *** viscous damper has a flexible hose as an external orifice through which the inside fluid transfer from one side to the other side of the inner ***,the viscosity coficient of the damper can be adjusted using geometrical dimensions of the ***,the external orifice acts as a thermal compensator and alleviates viscous heating of the *** to experimental results,Computational Fluid Dynamic(CFD)model,a numerical formula and the *** model are found and assessed;therefore,the verification of numerical and computational models are evaluated for ***,a simplifed procedure is proposed to design structures with bypass viscous *** design procedure is applied to design an 8-story hospital structure with bypass viscous dampers,and it is compared with the same structure,which is designed with concentric braces and without *** time history analyses revealed that the hospital with viscous damper experiences less structural inelastic demands and fewer story accelerations which mean fewer demands on nonstructural ***,seismic behaviors of nonstructural masonry claddings are also compared in the cases of hospital structure with and without dampers.

Topology optimization and seismic collapse assessment of shape memory alloy(SMA)-braced frames:Effectiveness of Fe-based SMAs

This paper presents a seismic topology optimization study of steel braced frames with shape memory alloy(SMA)*** SMA-braced frames(SMA-BFs)with either Fe-based SMA or NiTi braces are determined in a performance-based seismic design *** topology optimization is performed on 5-and 10-story SMA-BFs considering the placement,length,and cross-sectional area of SMA bracing ***,strength,and performance-based design constraints are considered in the *** seismic response and collapse safety of topologically optimal SMA-BFs are assessed according to the FEMA P695 methodology.A comparative study on the optimal SMA-BFs is also presented in terms of total relative cost,collapse capacity,and peak and residual story *** results demonstrate that Fe-based SMA-BFs exhibit higher collapse capacity and more uniform distribution of lateral displacement over the frame height while being more cost-effective than NiTi braced *** addition to a lower unit price compared to NiTi,Fe-based SMAs reduce SMA material *** frames with Fe-based SMA braces,the SMA usage is reduced by up to 80%.The results highlight the need for using SMAs with larger recoverable strains.

The Internet of thing(IoT)is a growing concept for smart cities,and it is compulsory to communicate data between different networks and *** the IoT,communication should be rapid with less delay and *** this purpose,flooding is used for reliable data communication in a smart cities concept but at the cost of higher overhead,energy consumption and packet drop *** paper aims to increase the efficiency in term of overhead and reliability in term of delay by using multicasting and unicasting instead of flooding during packet forwarding in a smart city using the IoT *** this paper,multicasting and unicasting is used for IoT in smart cities within a receiver-initiated mesh-based topology to disseminate the data to the cluster *** cities networks are divided into cluster head,and each cluster head or core node will be responsible for transferring data to the desired *** protocol is a novel approach according to the best of our knowledge,and it proves to be very useful due to its efficiency and reliability in smart cities concept because IoT is a collection of devices and having a similar interest for transmission of *** results are implemented in Network simulator 2(NS-2).The result shows that the proposed protocol shows performance in overhead,throughput,packet drop,delay and energy consumption as compared to benchmark schemes.

Comparison of aerial and ground spraying applications in controlling fusarium crown rot in wheat

Fusarium crown rot (FCR) is a chronic disease in many regions of the world in wheat, caused by Fusarium culmorum, Fusarium pseudograminearum, and Fusarium graminearum. The operational efficacy of pesticide applications using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) significantly affects the biological efficacy of the pesticides. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of unmanned aerial vehicle and field sprayer applications in controlling crown rot diseases frequently observed in wheat crops in the Thrace region, Turkey. A licensed fungicide containing the active ingredients, prochloraz plus trifloxystrobin plus cyproconazole mixture was applied to wheat during the ZGS 27 growth stage. The disease severity, disease incidence, and the effectiveness of fungicide treatment on disease severity (%) were evaluated for F. culmorum crown rot disease. The results showed that the severity of the disease during the seedling stage was 11.25% and 18.33% for unmanned aerial vehicle and field sprayer applications, respectively. In the harvest stage, the incidence of disease was 28.33%-39.99% and 48.75%-51.25%, respectively, and the effectiveness of unmanned aerial vehicle application was found to be high, approximately 52%, during the seedling and harvest stages. The unmanned aerial vehicle, acting similarly to the field sprayer, exhibited higher grain quality under conditions of stress from disease. Furthermore, spike weight, grain weight, and number of grains exhibited stronger positive correlations compared to unmanned aerial vehicle treatment. Therefore, unmanned aerial vehicles have promising potential as viable options to manage FCR when the prevailing environmental conditions are not conducive to the use of field sprayer. The results of this research will guide future studies to investigate the efficacy of UAVs on a wider range of pesticides and to further develop the technology to investigate its effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability in agricultural applicati

Detection of tracheal branching with computerized tomography:The relationship between the angles and age-gender
