The thermal stability, structural and dielectric properties of the (CaTiO3)1-x(Cr3/4Fe5/4O3)x ceramic composites with x = 0, 0.1, 0.5, 0.9 and 1 have been examined in microwave region. The samples were produced via the solid-state reaction. The orthorhombic structural phase of CaTiO3 and trigonal structural phase of Cr3/4Fe5/4O3 were confirmed by the X-Ray Powder Diffraction (XRPD). The XRPD patterns for composites reveal the quantities of each original phase present. The infrared spectra of the samples reinforce this structural verification indicating no or minimal occurrence of unwanted reactions. The first sample (x = 0) and last sample (x = 1) in this series exhibit the maximum and the minimum of the relative dielectric permittivity and values range from 140.1 to 8.3 respectively. The measured temperature coefficient of the matrix CaTiO3 was +921 ppm·℃-1 and for the matrix Cr3/4Fe5/4O3 was -56 ppm·℃-1. With the study of series of composites, it was possible to make a mathematical prediction for a composition reach the temperature coefficient near zero. The proposed ceramic has potential use as thermostable material in the microwave region and can be applied to resonators, low-noise amplifiers, filters, and so on.

Childhood trauma and factors associated with depression among inpatients with cardiovascular disease

AIM To identify factors associated with depressive symptoms among inpatients with cardiovascular disease(CVD). METhODS This is a cross-sectional study performed in a subsample of a large cross-sectional research that investigated affective disorders and suicide behaviour among inpatients hospitalized in non-surgical wards of the University hospital of the Federal University of Minas Gerais from November 2013 to October 2015. Sociodemographic and clinical data were obtained through a structured interview and medical record review. Depression was assessed by the depression subscale of the hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, with scores ≥ 8 considered as positive screening for depression. We used the Fagestr?m Test for Nicotine Dependence to characterize nicotine dependence. For assessing resilience and early-life trauma, we used the raw scores of the Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale and Childhood Trauma Questionnaire, *** At endpoint, we included 137 subjects. Thirty-eight(27.7%) subjects presented depressive symptoms and nine(23.7%) of those were receiving antidepressant treatment during hospitalization. The female sex; a lower mean educational level; a greater prevalence of previous suicide attempts; a higher level of pain; a higher prevalence of family antecedents of mental disorders; a lower resilience score; and higher childhood trauma score were the factors significantly associated with screening positive for major depression(P hat the factors independently associated with the depressive symptoms were a higher childhood trauma severity(OR = 1.06; P = 0.004); moderate to severe nicotine dependence(OR = 8.58; P = 0.008); and the number of previous hospital admissions(OR = 1.11; P = 0.034). The obtained logistic model was considered valid, indicating that the three factors together distinguished between having or not depressive symptoms, and correctly classified 74.6% of individuals in the ***

Throughout its lifetime,high-voltage circuit breaker(hVCB)contacts suffer from inevitable degradation processes,especially during the formation of electric *** degraded contacts can reduce the current interruption capacity and increase the chances of operational faults,which might lead to considerable financial ***,the use of efficient evaluating techniques is a key factor to achieve systems *** dynamic resistance measurement(DRM)is a technique that can be used to evaluate the degradation level of hVCB'*** stands out from the usual technique,static resistance measurement,by allowing the assessment of both the main contacts and the arcing contacts(ACs).Usually,the mean resistance or the area under the DRM curve is used to estimate the AC ***,DRM is a non-standardised technique and there are no specified parameters to evaluate the real wear ***,an analysis of alternative parameters extractible from the DRM technique is presented in this study,such as amplitude and variance of the DRM *** results attest the possible use of more than one parameter for the continuous evaluation of hVCB ACs,characterising the DRM as a more complete and precise diagnosis tool.

Chagas heart disease(ChD)affects approximately 30%of patients chronically infected with the protozoa Trypanosoma *** is classified into four stages of increasing severity according to electrocardiographic,echocardiographic,and clinical *** presents with a myriad of clinical manifestations,but its main complications are sudden cardiac death,heart failure,and ***,ChD has a higher incidence of sudden cardiac death and stroke than most other cardiopathies,and patients with ChD complicated by heart failure have a higher mortality than patients with heart failure caused by other *** patients with ChD,approximately 90%of deaths can be attributed to complications of Chagas *** cardiac death is the most common cause of death(55%–60%),followed by heart failure(25%–30%)and stroke(10%–15%).The high morbimortality and the unique characteristics of ChD demand an individualized approach according to the stage of the disease and associated complications the patient presents ***,the management of ChD is challenging,and in this review,we present the most updated available data to help clinicians and cardiologists in the care of these *** describe the clinical manifestations,diagnosis and classification criteria,risk stratification,and approach to the different clinical aspects of ChD using diagnostic tools and pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.

Quantification of Thiamethoxam in Rhizomes and Leaves of the hedychium coronarium and Water and Soil by high-Pressure Liquid Chromatography

The linearity, stability, accuracy and inter-day precisions of the assay method were evaluated in water, soil and rhizomes and leaves of hedychium coronarium of the Zingiberaceae family. Mato Grosso do Sul is a predominantly agricultural state in Brazil and has many rivers and permanent and seasonal lakes, in which the hedychium coronarium, an aquatic plant, is found the swampy environments. The prepared samples were analyzed quantitatively by high Performance Liquid Chromatography with PDA and UV detection for the presence of thiamethoxam. The thiamethoxam was recovered from these samples at rates ranging from 81.16% - 99.93%. The coefficient of variation in the quantitative analysis of the thiamethoxam was under 5%. The linearity of the method was determined by linear regression. The analysis of the samples spiked with known amounts of analyte demonstrated that the response was proportional to the concentrations of the samples with determination coefficients of r2 = 0.9992 (water and soil) and r2 = 0.9990 (leaves and rhizomes) for the linear range of the analytical calibration curves of the samples. The detection limit was 0.36 μg.L-1 and quantification limit was 1.2 μg.L-1 for thiamethoxam. The method was considered sensitive for quantification of the thiamethoxam in water, soil and rhizomes and leaves of hedychium coronarium.
