The effects of kafirins on protein and amino acid ileal digestibility have not been evaluated in vivo in *** aim of this study was to determine the effects of protein profile on apparent ileal digestibility(AID)of amino acids. We used a sorghum hybrid with low tannin content(he same hybrid was harvested from 2 different plots with different kafirin profile. Sorghum with greater content of total kafirins had less content of y-and al-kafirins and higher content of β-and a2-kafirins than that with lower content of total kafirins. Two sorghum-soybean meal(SBm) diets were formulated: 1) low kafirin(LK) content(32.2 g/kg) and 2) high kafirin(hK) content(48.1 g/kg). A control diet(maize-SBm) and a reference SBm-diet were also prepared. The reference diet was fed to all pigs following the experimental period and was used to estimate the AID of cereals by the difference method. 'T' cannulas were fixed in the distal ileum of 18 barrows(6 by treatment), divided into 2 groups of 9 pigs. The pigs were fed 2.5 times their maintenance requirement of digestible energy(110 kcal/kg BW00.75). The AID of dry matter,protein, amino acids, and energy of the experimental diets was measured;the AID of cereals(maize, LK sorghum and hK sorghum) was estimated by the difference method. The maize-SBm diet was more digestible than the sorghum-SBm diets, only with respect to valine(P he AID of valine in the maize-SBm diet was higher than that in sorghum-SBm diets. The changes in kafirin profile between the diets only affected the AID of threonine(P hich decreased by 9.5 percentage units in LK diet compared with hK diet. variability of the optical properties of the northern Gulf of California (méxico) were analyzed for the first time based on six cruises performed from spring to summer (march to September) between 2008 and 2013. The changes observed in the absorption by three seawater components (phytoplankton, detritus and chromophoric dissolved organic matter or CDOm) were analyzed in relation to changes in bio-optical regions and composition of the phytoplankton community (determined based on phytoplankton pigments). Two regions with unique bio-optical characteristics were identified separated by a narrow transition zone: the Upper Gulf of California (UGC) and northern Gulf of California (nGC). Despite the temporal changes in their spatial distribution they maintained particular characteristic. UGC is characterized by an average Chla of 1.78 mg/m3, the dominance of microphytoplankton (diatoms and dinoflagellates) and a stronger contribution of detritus to total light absorption. nGC is characterized by an average Chla of 0.7 mg/m3 and the predominance of picophytoplankton, characterized by the dominance of zeaxanthin (marker pigment for cyanobacteria) and/or chlorophyll b (marker pigment for green algae), along with a co-dominium by CDOm and phytoplankton to light absorption. Results indicate that Case II waters can be very different when evaluating the individual contribution by phytoplankton, detritus and CDOm to total light absorption what has to be considered for the selection of bio-optical models for each specific region what can also help to a better definition of the related uncertainties.

Purpose：This study aimed to describe the acute effects of 2 different high-intensity intermittent trainings（hIITs） on postural control,countermovement jump（CmJ）,squat jump（SJ）,and stretch-shortening cycle（SSC） utilisation,and to compare the changes induced by both protocols in those variables in endurance ***：Eighteen recreationally trained endurance runners participated in this study and were tested on 2 occasions：10 runs of 400 m with 90 s recovery between running bouts（10×400 m）,and 40 runs of 100 m with 30 s recovery between runs（40 × 100 m）.heart rate was monitored during both hIITs;blood lactate accumulation and rate of perceived exertion were recorded after both *** jump ability（CmJ and SJ） and SSC together with postural control were also controlled during both ***：Repeated measures analysis revealed a significan improvement in CmJ and SJ during 10 × 400 m（p〈0.05）,whilst no significan changes were observed during 40×100 *** related to SSC did not experience significan changes during any of the *** for postural control,no significan changes were observed in the 40×100 m protocol,whilst significan impairments were observed during the 10×400 m protocol（p〈0.05）.Conclusion：A protocol with a higher number of shorter runs（40×100 m） induced different changes in those neuromuscular parameters than those with fewer and longer runs（10×400 m）.Whereas the 40×100 m protocol did not cause any significan changes in vertical jump ability,postural control or SSC utilisation,the 10×400 m protocol impaired postural control and caused improvements in vertical jumping tests.

To study the molecular mechanisms involved in the hepatoprotective effects of naringenin (nAR) on carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-induced liver fibrosis. mEThODSThirty-two male Wistar rats (120-150 g) were randomly divided into four groups: (1) a control group (n = 8) that received 0.7% carboxy methyl-cellulose (nAR vehicle) 1 mL/daily p.o.; (2) a CCl4 group (n = 8) that received 400 mg of CCl4/kg body weight i.p. 3 times a week for 8 wk; (3) a CCl4 + nAR (n = 8) group that received 400 mg of CCl4/kg body weight i.p. 3 times a week for 8 wk and 100 mg of nAR/kg body weight daily for 8 wk p.o.; and (4) an nAR group (n = 8) that received 100 mg of nAR/kg body weight daily for 8 wk p.o. After the experimental period, animals were sacrificed under ketamine and xylazine anesthesia. Liver damage markers such as alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (AP), γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (γ-GTP), reduced glutathione (GSh), glycogen content, lipid peroxidation (LPO) and collagen content were measured. The enzymatic activity of glutathione peroxidase (GPx) was assessed. Liver histopathology was performed utilizing masson’s trichrome and hematoxylin-eosin stains. Zymography assays for mmP-9 and mmP-2 were carried out. hepatic TGF-β, α-SmA, CTGF, Col-I, mmP-13, nF-κB, IL-1, IL-10, Smad7, Smad3, pSmad3 and pJnK proteins were detected via western blot. RESULTSnAR administration prevented increases in ALT, AP, γ-GTP, and GPx enzymatic activity; depletion of GSh and glycogen; and increases in LPO and collagen produced by chronic CCl4 intoxication (P ver histopathology showed a decrease in collagen deposition when rats received nAR in addition to CCl4. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of Beauveria bassiana(Bb 1205)on controlling Fusarium oxysporum ***(Fol 17108)in tomato plants in greenhouse *** of Bb 1205 was the most promising among the agronomic variables and expression of the activity of the enzymesβ-1,3-glucanases and *** of Bb 1205 occurred at a concentration of 1×108 conidia·mL−1,which was administered onto the leaves,directly into the soil and via *** with Fol 17108 occurred with 1×106 spores·mL−1,which were added directly to the *** was used for measuring agronomic parameters,namely activity of chitinases andβ-1,3-glucanases in foliage and *** Bb 1205 was added to the soil,the chlorophyll index and aerial part length showed significant *** addition,it was determined that root length,fresh weight of foliage,flower,and fruit count increased 82 days after inoculation(dai).Chitinase activity induced by Bb 1205 in leaves and roots of tomato plants infected with Fol 17108 was observed when injected into the stem at 32 dai(41.8 and 11.6-fold,respectively).Inoculation on the foliage showed a 10-fold increase ofβ-1,3-glucanases in the roots after 82 *** for leaves,a 3.8-fold increase was found when the stem was *** the different in vivo applications,Bb 1205 activated its defenses by expressing the chitinase enzymes andβ-1,3-glucanase,thus reducing the damage caused by Fol 17108,demonstrating increase plant growth thereafter.

A review of natural resources existing in méxico is done. The description of the renewable energies for electricity generation operating at date along the country, includes hydro, wind, solar, biomass and geothermal, among others. The installed capacity (to 2012) in méxico for electric generation from renewable energies is equivalent to 22% of total generation capacity. méxico has geothermal resources, which can be classified as high and low enthalpy, and of hot dry rock. To date, the exploitation has focused mainly on high enthalpy geothermal fields. Geothermal power plants do not burn fuel, preventing gas emissions helping to reduce global warming and greenhouse effect. Security risks in méxico geothermal fields, as a part of renewable energies linked to Smart Grids, are described emphasizing their geographical locations to facilitate the exposure to dangerous events. The results about research on mexican Official norms protecting environment related with geothermal operation projects are shown. The mexican geothermal projects have developed under rules that provide security to workers and people, avoiding impacts on the environment. however, it was found that it necessarily emphasized previsions to damages and remedial actions for grids due to risks by natural contingencies (cyclones, winds, earthquakes) and by artificial causes such as vandalism (grids breaking, fire, explosions, etc.). Unfortunately, there are no preventive norms against natural risks. After all the analyses carried out, security must be considered by nature a dynamic and ever-changing process.

The Taguchi method, based on an orthogonal arrangement (L9, 33), the vari-ance analysis, the signal-to-noise ratios and the response surface methodol-ogy have been used to optimize maximum flank wear (vBmax) and surface roughness (Ra) of the cutting tool when turning a hardened steel AISI D2 (65 hRC) with PvD—TiAln coated WC insert upon dry environment. By em-ploying regression models;cutting speed, cutting depth and feed rate, which optimize maximum flank wear and surface roughness were validated. Results of relation signal-to-noise ratios, showed that with cutting speed of 200 m/min, cutting depth of 0.2 mm and feed rate of 0.20 mm/rev, Ra is opti-mized. With cutting speed of 150 m/min, cutting depth of 0.4 mm and feed rate of 0.3 mm/rev, vBmax is optimized. Through the variance analysis it was concluded that the depth of cut was the main parameter that affected on the surface roughness;whereas, the feed rate was the most influential parameter on the flank wear. Confirmation test results showed that the Taguchi method was very successful in the optimization of machining parameters for mini-mum surface roughness and flank wear in the turning of the D2 steel.

Research on two-dimensional(2D) materials is one of the most active fields in materials science and nanotechnology. Among the members of the 2D family, layered hydroxides(Lhs) represent an exceptional case of study due to their unparalleled chemical versatility which allows the modulation of their physicochemical properties at will. nowadays, Lhs based on earth-abundant metals are key materials in the areas of energy storage and conversion, hybrid materials or magnetism. α-Co hydroxides(Simonkolleite-like structures) are promising phases with tuneable electronic and magnetic properties by ligand modification. however, even in the simple case of α-Co^(Ⅱ) hydroxychlorides, the preparation of well-defined large 2D crystals is not straightforward, hindering the development of fundamental studies. herein, we present the synthesis of 2D hexagonal crystals with outstanding sizethickness relationship(diameter > 5 μm and thickness of 20 ± 7 nm) by a simple homogeneous synthesis taking place at room temperature. In structural terms, no differences are observed between our layered materials and those obtained hydrothermally. however, dynamic susceptibility measurements alert about different arrangements of the magnetic sublattices, which have been rationalized with structural DFT calculations. This work provides an extremely easy bottom-up method to obtain high-quality 2D crystals based on α-CoIIhydroxides,paving the way for the development of fundamental studies and applications.
