Portal hypertension in cirrhosis is defined as an increase in the portal pressure gradient(PPG)between the portal and hepatic veins and is traditionally estimated by the hepatic venous pressure gradient(HVPG),which is the difference in pressure between the free-floating and wedged positions of a balloon catheter in the hepatic *** convention,􀀫HVPG≥10mmHg indicates clinically significant portal hypertension,which is associated with adverse clinical *** fatty liver disease(NAFLd)is a common disorder with a heterogeneous clinical course,which includes the development of portal *** is increasing evidence that portal hypertension in NAFLd deserves special ***,elevated PPG often precedes fibrosis in NAFLd,suggesting a bidirectional relationship between these pathological ***,HVPG underestimates PPG in NAFLd,suggesting that portal hypertension is more prevalent in this condition than currently ***,cellular mechanoresponses generated early in the pathogenesis of NAFLd provide a mechanistic explanation for the pressurefibrosis ***,a better understanding of liver mechanobiology in NAFLd may aid in the development of novel pharmaceutical targets for prevention and management of this disease.

A highly celebrated problem in dyadic harmonic analysis is the pointwise convergence of the Fejér （or （C, 1）） means of functions on unbounded Vilenkin groups. There are several papers of the author of this paper concerning this. That is, we know the a.e. convergence σnf → f （n → ∞） for functions f ∈ L^p, where p 〉 1 （Journal of Approximation Theory, 101（1）, 1-36, （1999）） and also the a.e. convergence σMnf → f （n → ∞） for functions f ∈ L^1 （Journal of Approximation Theory, 124（1）, 25-43, （2003））. The aim of this paper is to prove the a.e. relation limn→∞ σnf = f for each integrable function f on any rarely unbounded Vilenkin group. The concept of the rarely unbounded Vilenkin group is discussed in the paper. Basically, it means that the generating sequence m may be an unbounded one, but its ＂big elements＂ are not ＂too dense＂.

The aim of this paper is to prove the *** of sequences of the Cesaro and Riesz means of the Walsh–Fourier series of d variable integrable *** is,let a=（a1,...,ad）：N→Nd（d∈P）such that aj（n＋1）≥δsupk≤n aj（k）（j=1,...,d,n∈N）for someδ〉0 and a1（＋∞）=···=ad（＋∞）=＋∞.Then,for each integrable function f∈L1（Id）,we have the *** for the Cesaro means limn→∞σαa（n）f=f and for the Riesz means limn→∞σα,γa（n）f=f for any 0〈αj≤1≤γj（j=1,...,d）.A straightforward consequence of our result is the so-called cone restricted *** of the multidimensional Cesaro and Riesz means of integrable functions,which was proved earlier by Weisz.

Novel interactions between introduced oaks and their natural enemies across different continents provide an opportunity to test the enemy release hypothesis(ERH)at local and global *** on the ERH,we assessed the impacts of native seed-feeding insects on introduced and native oaks within and among *** combined a common-garden experiment in China and biogeographic literature surveys to measure seed predation by insects and the proportion of acorn embryos surviving after insect infestation among 4 oak species with different geographical origins:Quercus mongolica origin from China,*** and *** from Europe,and *** from North *** supporting the ERH,oaks in introduced continents escaped seed predation compared to those in native continents and compared to other native oaks in introduced ***-garden comparisons showed that total acorn infestation rate of introduced ***(section Lobatae)was considerably lower than that of native oaks(section Quercus)in China and Europe,likely because of the differences in seed traits associated with different oak *** surveys showed that seed predation of introduced oaks was lower in the introduced continent than in the native *** survival was higher in introduced *** than native oaks in China and ***,insect seed predation of recently introduced *** in China was similar to that in Europe,which is not consistent with the *** results suggest that reduced acorn attack by native insects and higher embryo survival after acorn damage could increase the establishment success or invasion risk of introduced oaks in non-native continents.

It is well known in the literature that the logarithmic means 1/logn ^n-1∑k=1 Sk（f）/k of Walsh or trigonometric Fourier series converge a.e. to the function for each integrable function on the unit interval. This is not the case if we take the partial sums. In this paper we prove that the behavior of the so-called NSrlund logarithmic means 1/logn ^n-1∑k=1 Sk（f）/n-k is closer to the properties of partial sums in this point of view.

A well-known result for Vilenkin systems is the fact that for all 1 〈 p 〈 oc the n-th partial sums of Fourier series of all functions in the space Lp converge to the function in LP-norm. This statement can not be generalized to any representative product system on the complete product of finite non-abelian groups, but even then it is true for the complete product of quaternion groups with bounded orders and monomial representative product system ordered in a specific way.

For the two-dimensional Walsh system, Gat and Weisz proved the a.e. convergence of Fejer means σnf of integrable functions, where the set of indices is inside a positive cone around the identical function, that is, β^-1≤n1/n2 ≤β is provided with some fixed parameter ~ 〉 1. In this paper we generalize the result of Gat and Weisz. We not only generalize this theorem, but give a necessary and sufficient condition for cone-like sets in order to preserve this convergence property.
