Corrosion in Control Systems Decrease the Lifetime of the Electronic Devices of the Industrial Plants of Mexicali,BC,Mexico

The principal factor to determine the economical value of the products manufactured in the electronics industry is due to the productive yielding. This is important for the cost of the articles fabricated in this type of industrial plants installed in Mexicali city, where around 80% of companies are, and which fabricate electronic devices and systems, or have industrial electronic systems and machines to their manufacturing process. Mexicalicity is located in theBaja CaliforniaStateof the northwest ofMexico, which is a border city with Calexico in theCaliforniaStateof the United States of America (USA). The region located in Mexicali, is a desert area. Geothermal plant is located in this area, which is an important industry and supplies electricity to this city and its valleys and some cities on southwest of United States for daily activities. This company emits hydrogen sulfide (H2S) as a main air pollutant that reacts with oxygen in the atmosphere, generating sulfur oxides (SOX). This chemical is dispersed to the city of Mexicali in which industrial plants are located with electronic control systems, and penetrates to indoor rooms. Those cause the corrosion process. The presence of corrosion leads to the deterioration of electrical connectors, the connections of electronic systems and the decreasing of the lifetime of these control systems. Other air pollutants that are considered as chemical agents which cause damage to materials used in the electronics industry, are the sulfurs and nitrogen oxides (NOX), emitted from the traffic vehicle and some industries. This causes the low productive yielding of electrical and electronic devices and systems used in the companies of this city, and is a major concern to specialized people, managers and owners. 本研究探索了为自闭症儿童开发无手操作的增强现实技术（ar）游戏的概念,专门用于提升他们的情绪识别能力。目前,在美国,每59名儿童中就有1名被诊断为自闭症谱系障碍,而在中国,每1万名儿童中就有40名。近年来,该等数据还在不断攀升,同时也有大量的关于自闭症谱系障碍和开发用于帮助自闭症儿童的工具的研究。对于儿童来说,玩玩具在他们的成长过程中扮演了重要的角色。因此,已有许多关于为自闭症儿童开发玩具和游戏的研究,并且一些研究已经将ar技术和情绪识别考虑在其中,但是多数研究未考虑加入无手操作的概念,即所有的现有研究均受限于儿童玩游戏时的动手操作能力。因此,本研究致力于利用无手操作的ar技术,并且本研究开发的游戏关注于提升情绪识别能力,用于研究情感成长。本研究的参与者由6名有神经多样性症状的儿童组成。由于和相关学校建立联系以及寻找自闭症儿童作为参与者的实际困难,参与者并不全都是自闭症儿童。但是,由6名有神经多样性症状的儿童使得本研究能够从多个层面观察具有神经性症状儿童的情绪识别能力的不同。除了使用问卷调查测试这些参与者在玩游戏前和玩游戏后的情绪识别能力,该游戏本身被设计为通过选择可以表达5种基本情绪的不同基本面部表情来创造怪兽形象。该游戏同时包括怪兽和真实的人类形象来让儿童熟悉不同版本的同一种表情。第一轮测试后,笔者根据这些儿童的教师的观察意见对游戏原型做了例如添加游戏音效和逐步增加情绪和表情选择难度的游戏规则等变更。本研究的结果显示,是否有第三方协助是影响参与度的重要因素之一。根据第一轮和第二轮测试的比较,参与测试的儿童们在他们能够自行选择游戏机制并且使用或控制游戏时,即在更少成人干扰的情况下,会表现出更高的参与度。5名参与测试结束后问卷调查的儿童均表示该游戏很有趣并且希望再次玩该游戏,其中1位甚至在测试结束后立即要求再次玩该游戏。而得益于其易玩性,该儿童可以毫无障碍地自己设置和启动该游戏。其中1名儿童在玩过该游戏后能够将全部情绪与相应的表情匹配,而另1名则能够自己画出所有情绪的图像。在本游戏的测试中没有参与者表现出受到了任何负面的影响,但鉴于测试样本较少且游戏测试次数有限,本研究尚无法确认该游戏对于儿童情绪识别能力或某些表情的识别能力的提升。

Ceruloplasmin levels in human sera from various diseases and their correlation with patient’s age and gender

Ceruloplasmin (Cp), a copper metalloprotein in human serum has been a valuable diagnostic marker in Wilson’s disease where Cp levels tend to be low while high levels in serum were asso-ciated with myocardial infarction, neoplastic and inflammatory conditions. There is no stan-dardized reference method for Cp and current immunologic and bichromatic assays have a number of drawbacks. The method described here uses immunoaffinity chromatography to remove six of the most abundant proteins from a serum sample and high-pressure liquid chro- matography (HPLC) with a size-exclusion col-umn to separate Cp from other serum proteins and any free Cu prior to analysis of 63Cu and 65Cu by inductively-coupled plasma mass spec-trometry (ICPMS). Identification of Cp is based on retention time match of the unknown protein in the serum sample with the Cp external stan-dard and the presence of 63Cu and 65Cu at a ratio of 2.2 ± 0.1. The method accuracy, as estab-lished independently by two of the authors with a reference serum certified for Cp, is 98 to 101% and the coefficient of variation is 6.4% and 5.4%, respectively. The assay was used to analyze a total of 167 human sera for Cp from patients with myocardial infarction (MI), pulmonary em-bolism (PE), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), other forms of ar-thritis, and a set of healthy patients as normal controls (NC). Our data show that Cp concen-trations tend to be higher in MI, RA, and SLE patients, higher in female as compared to male patients, and we did not observe a correlation between Cp concentration and patient’s age for the set of 70 patients for which we had gender and age information.

Characterization of the Attended Surgical Patients in the Assisted Reproduction Territorial Centre, Cienfuegos 2015-2016

Introduction: Infertility is a health problem that does not cause death, disability or physical pain;however, it is a crisis for couples who see their life plans threatened and suffer not only at the time of diagnosis and during treatments, but in multiple daily situations. Scientific Problem: There are no published studies on the characteristics of the infertile patient who has required surgical treatment, which is attended at the Territorial Center for Assisted Reproduction, Cienfuegos. Objective: To characterize the patients with infertility diagnosis who underwent surgical treatment and were treated at the Territorial Center for the care of the infertile couple in the province of Cienfuegos. Methodological Design: A descriptive, prospective, cross-sectional study of a series of cases was carried out at the Territorial Center for Assisted Reproduction, inserted in the Department of External Consultation of the General University Hospital, Dr. “gustavo Aldereguía Lima” in Cienfuegos, in the period from January 2015 to December 2016. The variables studied were: age, skin color, pelvic inflammatory disease, personal pathological history, number of pregnancies, number of deliveries, number of abortions, age of the first sexual relations, cause of infertility, time attending the consultation, previous pelvic surgery, preoperative diagnosis, type of surgery, type of treatment and results of the surgery. Results: A predominance of age was obtained between 26 and 35 years of previous pelvic inflammatory disease, Bronchial Asthma as a personal pathological antecedent, previous pelvic surgery, number of pregnancies between 1 and 2, induced abortion among other results.

In this paper,CCT(continuous cooling transformation)diagrams are determined for Nb-containing reinforcing bars with different Nb,Mn additions,and initial austenite grain sizes by simulating industrial conditions via dilatometry *** was found that coarse austenite grain size,high Mn content and Nb remaining in solution all increase hardenability of Nb-containing rebars,namely lower ar3 for acicular phase transformation products,which leads to continuous yielding during tensile deformation when the volume fraction of acicular ferrite or bainite microstructure reaches a certain volume *** coupling with actual cooling rates for different size rebars,it can be explained why bainitic structure is prone to form in the center of rebars,especially for small size *** order to achieve required ferrite-pearlite microstructure,cooling strategy is optimized for industrial production.
