salmonella infection, ranging from mild, self-limiting diarrhea to severe gastrointestinal, septicemic disease and enteric fever, is a global health problem both in humans and animals. Rapid development of microbial drug resistance has led to a need for efficacious and affordable vaccines against salmonella. Microbial heat shock proteins （HsPs）, including HsP60 and HsP70, are the dominant antigens that promote the host immune response. Co-administration of these antigens with cytokines, such as IL-22, which plays an important role in antimicrobial defense, can enhance the immune response and protection against pathogens. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to determine the immunogenicity of rGroEL （Hsp60） of s. Typhi, alone or administered in combination with murine rlL-22, and its protective efficacy against lethal infection with salmonella, in mice. There was appreciable stimulation of the humoral and cell-mediated immune responses in mice immunized with rGroEL alone. However, co-administration of rGroEL with rlL-22 further boosted the antibody titers （IgG, IgG1 and IgG2a）, T-cell proliferative responses and the secretion of both Thl and Th2 cytokines. Additionally, rGroEL alone accorded 65%-70% protection against lethal challenge with s. Typhi and s. Typhimurium, which increased to 90% when co-administered with rlL-22.

Out of 1 989 wild accessions sown in seed boxes for screening, only 1 003 wild accessions with good germination were screened against brown planthopper(BPH), Nilaparvata lugens(st?l) under greenhouse conditions. The collection comprised of accessions from 11 wild species and African cultivated rice. The germplasm was screened for BPH following standard seed box screening technique in the greenhouse. As many as 159 accessions were identified as resistant during the year 2012 based on one year screening. A selected set of BPH resistant accessions were screened again during 2013. Based on the two years screening, seven accessions of O. nivara(AA), one accession of O. officinalis(CC), seven accessions of O. australiensis(EE), five accessions of O. punctata(BB and BBCC) and nine accessions of O. latifolia(CCDD) were confirmed to be resistant to BPH. so far no BPH resistance genes have been identified and designated from O. nivara and O. punctata, hence these may act as new sources of resistance.

In situ and operando infrared spectroscopies are powerful techniques to support the design of novel materials for batteries and the development of new battery *** techniques can support the study of batteries by identifying the formation of new species and monitoring electrochemical energy ***,few works have employed these techniques,which can be used to investigate various materials,including systems beyond lithium-ion technology,in the research of ***,this review presents a comprehensive overview focusing on the main contributions of in situ and operando infrared spectroscopy for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)and other battery *** techniques can successfully identify the formation of species during the electrolyte reduction,electrode degradation,and the formation of the solid-electrolyte interphase(sEI)*** these outcomes,it is possible to conclude that this characterization approach should be employed as a protocol to overcome remaining issues in batteries,consequently supporting battery *** review aims to be a guide on how infrared spectroscopy can contribute to monitoring battery systems and to lead researchers interested in applying this technique.

Co-administration of rlpaB domain of shigella with rGroEL of s. Typhi enhances the immune responses and protective efficacy against shigella infection

shigella species cause severe bacillary dysentery in humans and are associated with high morbidity and mortality. The Invasion plasmid antigen （IpaB） protein, which is conserved across all shigella spp., induces macrophage cell death and is required to invade host cells. The present study evaluates the immunogenicity and protective efficacy of the recombinant （r） domain region of IpaB （rlpaB） of s. flexneri, rlpaB was administered either alone or was co-administered with the rGroEL （heat shock protein 60） protein from s. Typhi as an adjuvant in a mouse model of intranasal immunization. The IpaB domain region （37 kDa） of s. flexneriwas amplified from an invasion plasmid, cloned, expressed in BL21 Escherichia colicells and purified. Immunization with the rlpaB domain alone stimulated both humoral and cell-mediated immune responses. Furthermore, robust antibody （IgG, IgA） and T-cell responses were induced when the rlpaB domain was co-administered with rGroEL. Antibody isotyping revealed higher IgG 1 and IgG2a antibody titers and increased interferon-gamma （IFN-γ） secretion in the co-administered group. Immunization of mice with the rlpaB domain alone protected 60%-70% of the mice from lethal infection by s. flexneri, s. boydiiand s. sonnei, whereas co-administration with rGroEL increased the protective efficacy to 80%-85%. Organ burden and histopathological studies also revealed a significant reduction in lung infection in the co-immunized mice compared with mice immunized with the rlpaB domain alone. This study emphasizes that the co-administration of the rlpaB domain and rGroEL protein improves immune responses in mice and increases protective efficacy against shigella infection. This is also the first report to evaluate the potential of the GroEL （Hsp 60） protein of s. Typhi as an adjuvant molecule, thereby overcoming the need for commercial adjuvants.

Coronavirus particles contain four main structural proteins. These are the spike (s), membrane (M), envelope (E), and nucleocapsid (N) proteins, all of which are encoded within the 3’ end of the viral genome. The s protein (~150 kDa) utilizes an N-terminal signal sequence to gain access to the ER, and is heavily N-linked glycosylated. In view of the increase in death due to COVID-19 (coronavirus disease), it is important to investigate the potential effects the coronavirus on different organs. A literature search was performed from Elsevier, Pubmed, springer, and Hindawi, and literature is reviewed using customized search strategies. The search strategy included the following terms Cardiovascular effect, Neurological effect, and kidney. Myocardial damage is a common occurrence in patients with COVID-19 disease hospitalisation. This is characterized by a rise in troponin. Vascular endothelial damage in both small and mid-sized pulmonary vessels was noted together with Disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and Pulmonary embolism (PE), resulting in pulmonary infarction. Liver damage in patients with coronavirus infections might be directly caused by the viral infection of liver cells. Neuronal pathway is an important vehicle for neurotropic viruses to enter the CNs (Central Nervous system). Recent research studies show that apoptosis is implicated in a variety of ocular disorders, including glaucoma, retinitis pigmentosa, cataract development, retinoblastoma, retinal ischemia, diabetic retinopathy, and ocular murine glaucoma. The more the understanding about this new virus and its occurrence, the better the ability of people to cope with it. It’s far hoped that we will conquer COVID-19 soon with the invention of powerful vaccines, pills, and remedies.

The presont study was carried out to investigate the effect of different amounts of gossypol on bovineblastocyst attachment and trophoblastic outgrowth in vitro. Bovine oocyte were collected from theovaries of slaughtered cows and were matured and fertilized in vitro. Cleaved oocyte were culturedin CRlaa + BOEC and TC-199 + 10% FCs combined in an 1:1 ratio. After 8 days of co-culture,the hatched blastocysts were randomly allotted to different treatment groups. All were cultured ona fetal fibroblast monolaycr (prepared from bovine fetuses) in TC-199 culture medium supplementedwith 10% fetal calf serum (TCFCs). But the groups differed from one another in the dose ofgossypol given: 0.01 μg, 0.1 μg, 1 μg, 10 μs/ml, and no gossypol as control. All cultures wereperformed in 24-well culture plates at 39℃ with 5% CO_2 in air. The results indicate that the ratesof attached and outgrowing blastocysts in the medium containing 1 μg/ml gossypol were significantlylowcr than the control group (pssypol in a dose-dependent manner.
