Role of depressive symptoms in cardiometabolic diseases and subsequent transitions to all-cause mortality:an application of multistate models in a prospective cohort study

Background and purpose The role of depression in the development and outcome of cardiometabolic diseases remains to be clarified.We aimed to examine the extent to which depressive symptoms affect the transitions from healthy to diabetes,stroke,heart disease and subsequent all-cause mortality in a middle-aged and elderly European population.Methods A total of 78212 individuals aged≥50 years from the Survey of Health Ageing and Retirement in Europe were included.Participants with any baseline cardiometabolic diseases including diabetes,stroke and heart disease were excluded.Depressive symptoms were measured by the Euro-Depression scale at baseline.Participants were followed up to determine the occurrence of cardiometabolic diseases and all-cause mortality.We used multistate models to estimate the transition-specific HRs and 95%CIs after adjustment of confounders.Results During 500711 person-years of follow-up,4742 participants developed diabetes,2173 had stroke,5487 developed heart disease and 7182 died.Depressive symptoms were significantly associated with transitions from healthy to diabetes(HR:1.12,95%CI:1.05 to 1.20),stroke(HR:1.31,95%CI:1.18 to 1.44),heart disease(HR:1.26,95%CI:1.18 to 1.34)and all-cause mortality(HR:1.41,95%CI:1.34 to 1.49).After cardiometabolic diseases,depressive symptoms were associated with the increased risk of all-cause mortality in patients with diabetes(HR:1.54,95%CI:1.25 to 1.89),patients who had stroke(HR:1.29,95%CI:1.03 to 1.61)and patients with heart disease(HR:1.21,95%CI:1.02 to 1.44).Conclusions Depressive symptoms increase the risk of diabetes,stroke and heart disease,and affect the risk of mortality after the onset of these cardiometabolic conditions.Screening and treatment of depressive symptoms may have profound implications for the prevention and prognosis of cardiometabolic diseases.

Some optimization problems in scientific research,such as the robustness optimization for the Internet of Things and the neural architecture search,are large-scale in decision space and expensive for objective evaluation.In order to get a good solution in a limited budget for the large-scale expensive optimization,a random grouping strategy is adopted to divide the problem into some low-dimensional sub-problems.A surrogate model is then trained for each sub-problem using different strategies to select training data adaptively.After that,a dynamic infill criterion is proposed corresponding to the models currently used in the surrogate-assisted sub-problem optimization.Furthermore,an escape mechanism is proposed to keep the diversity of the population.The performance of the method is evaluated on CEC’2013 benchmark functions.Experimental results show that the algorithm has better performance in solving expensive large-scale optimization problems.

Orthopyroxene-bearing granodiorite(sometimes referred to as‘charnockite’)with an adakitic affinity is a rare type of granitoid.It is generally accepted that the stabilization of orthopyroxene in igneous charnockites essentially requires low aH_(2)O and/or high temperatures in a closed system.However,orthopyroxene can be an antecryst in a trans-crustal magmatic system.In this regard,orthopyroxenebearing granitoids are somewhat analogous to pseudo-charnockites,where the orthopyroxene stems from a mafic reservoir.On the other hand,the source compositions of continental adakites can vary,which is often ignored in the interpretation of their contribution to the adakitic geochemical signature.In this study,we have investigated a rare orthopyroxene-bearing felsic pluton from the Zhuyuan area of West Qinling,Central China.The Zhuyuan pluton was emplaced in the Middle–Late Triassic(222–217 Ma)and is mainly composed of metaluminous to weakly peraluminous granodiorites belonging to the high-K calc-alkaline series.Moreover,they are characterized by high Mg#values(49.7–60.9)and Sr contents(471–697 ppm),low Y(12.2–15.4 ppm)and Yb(1.03–1.24 ppm)contents,high Sr/Y(33.2–46.2)and(La/Yb)_(N)(15.3–21.4)ratios,and weakly negative Eu anomalies(Eu/Eu^(*)=0.78–0.89).The Zhuyuan adakitic granodiorites exhibit fairly limited Sr–Nd–Pb isotopic ratios and variable zircon initial Hf isotopes,indicating a major contribution from the Neoproterozoic basement of the Qinling Orogenic Belt.There is no evidence of any formation through high-pressure magmatic processes,and we propose that the adakitic signature of the Zhuyuan pluton could have been inherited from its source rocks(i.e.,from the Neoproterozoic basement).The orthopyroxenes in the Zhuyuan granodiorites display poikilitic textures with high MgO,NiO and Cr_(2)O_(3) contents,indicating that they have an antecrystic origin.Studies of regional tectonic evolution have shown that the Zhuyuan granodiorites formed during the tearing stage of the A’nimaque–Mianlue oceanic subduction slab.Therefor

Development of Measuring System of Plant Electrical Potential and Its Application

Based on the characters of plant potentials, it introduced the construction and technology in developing the measuring system of plant electrical potentials, the input impedance of the amplifier must be enough high(= 1010～ 1012Ω) in order to measuring the plant weak signals and ensuring high common mode rejection ratio (CMRR). And wavelet transform was applied in denoising based on cross-validation (CV)threshold value. the experiment showed that this system could effectively detect the change of plant potentials,four-week old cucumber was stimulated by heat wounding, the variation potential (VP) and action potential(AP) would be evoked, the AP's varying amplitude can reach 40mV; the AP changed very fast, its duration time is about 0.01～0.02s and its amplitude often change from 15μV～5mV.

一、引言我国东北地区,位处与韩日两国佛教传播、交流的重要节点,千百年来,为佛教文化交流互鉴发挥着举足轻重的作用。佛教最初传入我国东北的年代、路线及流布,限于正史资料匮乏,民间传说很多又欠缺实证,长期以来,学者们虽孜孜以求,但其源流脉络尚不清晰。20世纪后,随着我国考古事业的发展,一批带有佛教色彩的汉晋文物被陆续发现并公诸于世。这些极具研究价值的成果,无疑对东北佛教溯源提供了突破性佐证。

Magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging-based evaluation of optic-radiation shape and position in meningioma

Employing magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging, three-dimensional white-matter imaging and conventional magnetic resonance imaging can demonstrate the tumor parenchyma, peritumoral edema and compression on surrounding brain tissue. A color-coded tensor map and three-dimensional tracer diagram were applied to clearly display the optic-radiation location, course and damage. Results showed that the altered anisotropy values of meningioma patients corresponded with optic-radiation shape, size and position on both sides. Experimental findings indicate that the magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging technique is a means of tracing and clearly visualizing the optic radiation.
