Hybrid improper ferroelectricity has been extensively reported through theoretical prediction and experimental investigation in the oxides with Ruddlesden-Popper(R-P)***,the experimentally reported ferroelectric materials based on triple-layer R-P structures are rare,and the weak ferroelectricity impedes its practical *** the present work,the single-phase Li_(2)Nd_(2)Ti_(3)O_(10)ceramics with A-site cation ordered triple-layer R-P structure was obtained by spark plasma sintering technique,and the crystal structure of P2_(1)ab symmetry was revealed by neutron powder diffraction and transmission electron microscope ***,the switchable ferroelectricity in Li_(2)Nd_(2)Ti_(3)O_(10)ceramics has been observed at room temperature,and the saturated polarization-electric field hysteresis loop was obtained with P_(r)=0.4μC/cm^(2)under the electric field of 250 kV/*** phase transition behavior of Li_(2)Nd_(2)Ti_(3)O_(10)oxides was revealed by the temperature-dependence Raman and dielectric spectra combined with the piezoelectric property.

AIM. To study the differential gene expression profiles of target cells in primary gastric cancer and its metastatic lymph nodes using laser microdissection （LMD） in combination with cDNA microarray. METHODS： Normal gastric tissue samples from 30 healthy individuals, 36 cancer tissue samples from primary gastric carcinoma and lymph node metastasis tissue samples from 58 patients during gastric cancer resection were obtained using LMD in combination with cDNA microarray independently. After P27-based amplification, aRNA from 36 of 58 patients （group 1） with lymph node metastasis and metastatic tissue specimens from the remaining 22 patients （group 2） were applied to cDNA microarray. Semiquantitative reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） and imrnunohistochemical assay verified the results of microarray in group 2 and further identified genes differentially expressed in the progression of gastric cancer. RESULTS： The expression of 10 genes was up-regulated while the expression of 15 genes was down-regulated in 22 gastric carcinoma samples compared with that of genes in the normal controls. The results were confirmed at the level of mRNA and protein, and suggested that four genes （OPCML, RNASE1, YES1 and ACK1） could play a key role in the tumorigenesis and metastasis of gastric cancer. The expression pattern of 3 genes （OPCML, RNASE1 and YES1） was similar to tumor suppressor genes. For example, the expression level of these genes was the highest in normal gastric epithelium, which was decreased in primary carcinoma, and further decreased in metastatic lymph nodes. On the contrary, the expression pattern of gene ACK1 was similar to that of oncogene. Four genes were further identified as differentially expressed genes in the majority of the cases in the progression of gastric cancer. Objective:To study the relationship between miR-100 expression in cervical cancer tissue and cisplatin ***: A total of 107 cases of cervical cancer tissues from those who received cisplatin chemotherapy in Huanggan Central Hospital between May 2013 and October 2016 were collected as the clinical samples and divided into chemotherapy-responsive cisplatin-sensitive cervical cancer tissue and chemotherapy-irresponsive cisplatin-sensitive cervical cancer tissue according to the curative effect of chemotherapy. The miR-100 expression as well as the expression of drug resistance-related genes, cell cycle-related genes and cell invasion-related genes was ***: The miR-100 expression in cisplatin-resistant cervical cancer tissue was significantly lower than that in cisplatin-sensitive cervical cancer tissue while Nek2, P-gp, GST-π, Topo-II, SP2, CyclinD1, CyclinG1, CDK4, CDK5, MMP1, PAR1, RbAp48, Vimentin and N-cadherin expression were significantly higher than those in cisplatin-sensitive cervical cancer tissue;the miR-100 expression was negatively correlated with Nek2, P-gp, GST-π, Topo-II, SP2, CyclinD1, CyclinG1, CDK4, CDK5, MMP1, PAR1, RbAp48, Vimentin and N-cadherin ***: The lower expression of miR-100 in cervical cancer tissue is closely associated with cisplatin resistance.

Objective:To study the relationship of high-risk human papilloma virus (HPV) infection with mitogen-activated protein kinase/extracellular signal-regulated kinase 3 (MEKK3) and nuclear factorκB (NF-κB) expression in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia ***:125 cases of cervical biopsy specimens between May 2013 and March 2016 were collected. The cervical inflammation specimens, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia specimens and cervical cancer specimens were included in inflammation group, CIN group and malignant group respectively. HPV-DNA typing detection kits were used to determine HPV typing, immunohistochemical kits were used to determine MEKK3 and NF-κB protein expression, and fluorescent quantitative PCR kits were used to determine the mRNA expression of MEKK3, NF-κB and downstream ***: MEKK3 and NF-κB protein expression in high-risk HPV-positive cervical tissue were significantly higher than those in high-risk HPV-negative cervical tissue (P<0.05), and MEKK3, NF-κB, Bcl-2, XIAP, Bmi-1, TGF-β and Vimentin mRNA expression in high-risk type HPV-positive cervical tissue were significantly higher than those in high-risk HPV-negative cervical tissue (P<0.05);Bcl-2, XIAP, Bmi-1, TGF-β and Vimentin mRNA expression in tissue with positive MEKK3 and NF-κB expression were significantly higher than those in tissue with negative MEKK3 and NF-κB expression (P<0.05).Conclusions:High-risk HPV infection will increase the expression of proliferation genes Bcl-2, XIAP and Bmi-1 as well as invasion genes TGF-β and Vimentin in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia tissue through MEKK3/NF-κB pathway.

Over the last two decades,stochastic optimization algorithms have proved to be a very promising approach to solving a variety of complex optimization *** eagle search optimization(BES)as a new stochastic optimization algorithm with fast convergence speed has the ability of prominent optimization and the defect of collapsing in the local *** avoid BES collapse at local optima,inspired by the fact that the volume of the sphere is the largest when the surface area is certain,an improved bald eagle search optimization algorithm(INMBES)integrating the random shrinkage mechanism of the sphere is ***,the INMBES embeds spherical coordinates to design a more accurate parameter update method to modify the coverage and dispersion of the ***,the population splits into elite and non-elite groups and the Bernoulli chaos is applied to elite group to tap around potential solutions of the *** non-elite group is redistributed again and the Nelder-Mead simplex strategy is applied to each group to accelerate the evolution of the worst individual and the convergence process of the *** results of Friedman and Wilcoxon rank sum tests of CEC2017 in 10,30,50,and 100 dimensions numerical optimization confirm that the INMBES has superior performance in convergence accuracy and avoiding falling into local optimization compared with other potential improved algorithms but inferior to the champion algorithm and ranking *** three engineering constraint optimization problems and 26 real world problems and the problem of extracting the best feature subset by encapsulated feature selection method verify that the INMBES’s performance ranks first and has achieved satisfactory accuracy in solving practical problems.

Molecular mechanisms of paclitaxel and NM-3 on human gastric cancer in a severe combined immune deficiency mice orthotopic implantation model

AIM: To explore the molecular mechanisms of action of paclitaxel and NM-3 on human gastric cancer in severe combined immune deficiency (SCID) mice. METHODS: Human gastric cancer cells SGC-7901 were implanted into SCID mice and mice were treated with paclitaxel and NM-3. The effects of paclitaxel and NM-3 on apoptosis of human gastric cancer cells were analyzed using flow cytometry, TUNEL assays, and DNA fragment analyses. RESULTS: Apoptosis of SGC-7901 cells was successfully induced by paclitaxel, NM-3, and the combination of paclitaxel and NM-3 24 h after injection as shown by the presence of apoptotic hypodiploid peaks on the flow cytometer before G1-S and a characteristic apoptotic band pattern in the DNA electrophoresis. The apoptotic rate detected by TUNEL assay was found to be significantly higher in the paclitaxel/NM-3 compared to the control group (38.5% ± 5.14% vs 13.2% ± 1.75%, P < 0.01). CONCLUSION: Paclitaxel in combination with NM-3 is able to induce apoptosis of the human gastric cancer cells in SCID mice effectively and synergistically.
