Lipidomic investigation of the protective effects of Polygonum perfoliatum against chemical liver injury in mice

Objective:Recent investigations have demonstrated that Polygonum perfoliatum *** protect against chemical liver injury,but the mechanism behind its efficacy is still ***,we studied the pharmacological mechanism at work in *** protection against chemical liver ***:To evaluate the activity of *** against chemical liver injury,levels of alanine transaminase,lactic dehydrogenase,aspartate transaminase,superoxide dismutase,glutathione peroxidase and malondialdehyde were measured,alongside histological assessments of the liver,heart and kidney tissue.A nontargeted lipidomics strategy based on ultra-performance liquid chromatography quadrupoleorbitrap high-resolution mass spectrometry method was used to obtain the lipid profiles of mice with chemical liver injury and following treatment with ***;these profiles were used to understand the possible mechanisms behind ***'s protective ***:Lipidomic studies indicated that *** protected against chemical liver injury,and the results were consistent between histological and physiological *** comparing the profiles of liver lipids in model and control mice,we found that the levels of 89 lipids were significantly *** animals receiving *** treatment,the levels of 8 lipids were significantly improved,relative to the model *** results showed that *** extract could effectively reverse the chemical liver injury and significantly improve the abnormal liver lipid metabolism of mice with chemical liver injury,especially glycerophospholipid ***:Regulation of enzyme activity related to the glycerophospholipid metabolism pathway may be involved in the mechanism of ***'s protection against liver injury.

Preparation of PVA/GO/h-BN Janus Film with High Thermal Conductivity and Excellent Flexibility via a Density Deposition Self-assembly Method

Janus films with asymmetric physical/chemical properties have attracted con siderable attention due to their promising applications in personal thermal management,electronic skin s,sensors,actuators,***,traditional methods for fabricating Janus films conventionally need the assistance of an interface or auxiliary equipment,which are usually complex and ***,flexible poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA)/graphene oxide(GO)/h-BN(recorded as PVA/GO/h-BN)Janus films with thermally,optically,and electrically anisotropic properties are fabricated by a simple density deposition self-assem bly method,which just utilizes the density difference between GO and h-BN during water *** results show that the two sides of the acquired Janus films have obvious asymmetric *** the original state of the PVA/GO/h-BN Janus films,the thermal conductivity of the GO side(10.06 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1))is generally lower than that of the h-BN side(10.48W·m^(-1)·K^(-1)).But after GO is reduced,the thermal conductivity of the rGO side reaches 12.17 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1),surpassing that of the h-BN *** addition,the relative reflectance of the h-BN side of Janus film is also significantly higher than that of the rGO side,and the su rface resistance difference between the two sides is about 4 orders of *** prepared PVA/GO/h-BN Janus films show great application potential in human thermal management,light conversion switches,and electronic *** study provides a simple and versatile strategy for fabricating Janus films with multifunctional(such as thermal,optical,and electrical)anisotropies.

Effect of sorbed and desorbed Zn(Ⅱ) on the growth of a green alga (Chlorella pyrenoidosa)

Toxic effect of Zn（II） on a green alga （Chlorella pyrenoidosa） in the presence of sepiolite and kaolinite was investigated. The Zn-free clays were found to have a negative impact on the growth of C. pyrenoidosa in comparison with control samples （without adding any clay or Zn（II））. When Zn（II） was added, the algae in the presence of clays could be better survived than the control samples, which was actually caused by a decrease in Zn（II） concentration in the solution owing to the adsorption of Zn（II） on the clays. When the solution system was diluted, the growth of algae could be further inhibited as compared to that in a system which had the same initial Zn（II） concentration as in the diluted system. This in fact resulted from desorption of Zn（II） from the zinc-contaminated clays, although the effect varied according to the different desorption capabilities of sepiolite and kaolinite. Therefore the adsorption and desorption processes of Zn（H） played an important part in its toxicity, and adsorption and desorption of pollutants on soils/sediments should be well considered in natural eco-environmental systems before their risk of toxicity to aquatic organisms was assessed objectively.

2-[2-（2,2,2-Trifluoroethoxy）phenoxy]ethanamine is the key intermediate of Silodosin, the α1-adrenoceptor antagonist for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. In order to obtain this intermediate, we developed a novel synthetic route by utilizing 2- nitrochlorobenzene as the starting material via O-alkylation, reduction, diazotization, acidolysis, etherification, condensation and hydrazinolysis. Photochemical reaction between magnesium tetraphenyl porphyrin and oxygen

The photochemical reaction of magnesium tetraphenyl porphyrin （MgTPP） with O2 was studied in CH2Cl2 by steady-state fluorescence, UV-vis absorption, FTIR and MALDI-TOF MS measurements. These spectra indicate that O2 can react with MgTPP excited by irradiation, forming the stable 1：1 coordinated adduct of MgTPP-O2. In the adduct, the oxygen atoms of O2 may insert in the Mg-N bonds in MgTPP and bind with the nitrogen atoms of MgTPP to form N-O-Mg bonds.

Niobium and phosphorus behavior during melting-separation process of pre-reduced niobium ore concentrate

The pre-reduced Bayan Obo ferroniobium（FeNb）ore concentrate block was taken as raw materials for studying the physical properties of niobium-enriched slag and changes in niobium recovery *** addition,the dephosphorization rate of the slag under different melting-separation conditions was investigated using the melting-separation *** research results demonstrate that（i）the niobium recovery rate and dephosphorization rate of the slag decrease with the increase in melting-separation temperature;（ii）the niobium recovery rate of the slag initially increases and then decreases with increase in basicity and time;and（iii）the dephosphorization rate of the slag increases with the increase in basicity and *** the test was performed under the conditions of basicity of 0.6-0.7,time of 7-10min,and temperature of 1400-1450°C,the niobium recovery rate and dephosphorization rate are over 96%and 95%,*** scanning electron microscopy,it is observed that niobium mainly exists in the form of calcium and titanium silicate within the slag phase,with uneven distribution.

New Insights on Gamma-Ray Burst Radiation Mechanisms from Multiwavelength Observations

The study of high-energy gamma-ray emission from gamma-ray bursts(GRBs) involves complex synchrotron radiation and synchrotron self-Compton(SSC) scattering mechanisms with multiple parameters exhibiting a wide distribution. Recent advancements in GRB research, particularly the observation of very high energy(VHE,>100 Ge V) radiation, have ushered in a new era of multiwavelength exploration, offering fresh perspectives and limitations for understanding GRB radiation mechanisms. This study aimed to leverage VHE observations to refine constraints on synchrotron + SSC radiation from electrons accelerated by forward shocks. By analyzing two external environments—the uniform interstellar medium and stratified stellar wind medium, we conducted spectral and variability fitting for five specific bursts(GRB 180720B, GRB 190114C, GRB 190829A, GRB 201216C, and GRB 221009A) to identify the optimal parameters characterizing these events. A comparative analysis of model parameter distributions with and without VHE radiation observations reveals that the magnetic energy equipartition factor εBis more concentrated with VHE emissions. This suggests that VHE emissions may offer greater constraints on this microphysical parameter. Additionally, we found that the energy budget between VHE and ke V–Me V γ-ray emissions under the SSC radiation exhibits an almost linear relationship, which may serve as a tool to differentiate radiation mechanisms. We anticipate future statistical analyses of additional VHE bursts to validate our findings.

Mesozoic multi-direction collision tectonic evolution of the Ordos Basin, China: Insights from the detrital zircon and apatite (U-Th)/He analyses

The Ordos Basin(OB)in the western part of the North China Craton(NCC),was located at the jointed area of multi-plates and has recorded the Mesozoic tectonic *** tectonic evolution in the Mesozoic is significant to understand the tectonic transformation of the northern margin of the *** this work,the detrital zircon and apatite(U-Th)/He chronological system were analyzed in the northern part of the OB,and have provided new evidence for the regional tectonic ***(U-Th)/He chronological data states the weighted ages of 240‒235 Ma,141 Ma with the peak distribution of 244 Ma,219 Ma,173 Ma,147‒132 *** thermal evolution,geochronological data,and regional unconformities have proved four stages of regional tectonic evolution for the OB and its surroundings in the Mesozoic:(1)The Late Permian-Early Triassic;(2)the Late Triassic-Early Jurassic;(3)the Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous;(4)the Late Cretaceous-Early *** is indicated that the multi-directional convergence from the surrounding tectonic units has controlled the Mesozoic tectonic evolution of the ***-stage tectonic evolution reflected the activation or end of different plate movements and provided new time constraints for the regional tectonic evolution of the NCC in the Mesozoic.

Physiological and Biochemical Characteristics in Flag Leaves of the C Liangyou Series of Hybrid Rice Combinations at Late Growth Stages

The contents of chlorophyll, soluble sugars, soluble proteins and thiobarbitudc acid reaction substance （TBARS）, chlorophyll fluorescence parameters, net photosynthetic rate as well as the activities of superoxide dismutase （SOD） and peroxidase （POD） of flag leaves at the late growth stages were studied by using C Liangyou series of hybrid rice combinitions as material and Shanyou 63 as control. The C Liangyou series of hybrid rice combinations used in the experiment included C Liangyou 396, C Liangyou 87, C Liangyou 755 and C Liangyou 34, which all used C815S as male sterile line. The contents of chlorophyll, soluble sugars and soluble proteins in flag leaves of the C Liangyou series combinations at the late growth stages were higher than those of the control, whereas the TBARS content was lower than that of the control. The activities of SOD and POD were significantly higher than those of the control on the 7th day after heading, and then decreased slowly. ~bps, value and qp value of flag leaves decreased at the late growth stages, and these two parameters in flag leaves of the C Liangyou series combinations were higher than those of the control, while the qN value increased at the late growth stages and was lower than that of the control. The net photosynthetic rate of flag leaves at the late growth stage was higher compared with the control. These results suggest that slow senescence and strong photosynthetic capability in flag leaves at the late growth stages are the physiological basis of the C Liangyou series combinations.
