A Selective Attention Guided Initiative Semantic Cognition Algorithm for Service Robot

With the development of artificial intelligence and robotics, the study on service robot has made a significant progress in recent years. Service robot is required to perceive users and environment in unstructured domestic environment. Based on the perception,service robot should be capable of understanding the situation and discover service task. So robot can assist humans for home service or health care more accurately and with initiative. Human can focus on the salient things from the mass observation information. Humans are capable of utilizing semantic knowledge to make some plans based on their understanding of the environment. Through intelligent space platform, we are trying to apply this process to service robot. A selective attention guided initiatively semantic cognition algorithm in intelligent space is proposed in this paper. It is specifically designed to provide robots with the cognition needed for performing service tasks. At first, an attention selection model is built based on saliency computing and key area. The area which is highly relevant to service task could be located and referred as focus of attention（FOA）. Second, a recognition algorithm for FOA is proposed based on a neural network. Some common objects and user behavior are recognized in this step. At last, a unified semantic knowledge base and corresponding reasoning engine is proposed using recognition result. Related experiments in a real life scenario demonstrated that our approach is able to mimic the recognition process in humans, make robots understand the environment and discover service task based on its own cognition. In this way, service robots can act smarter and achieve better service efficiency in their daily work.

Noise Effects on Oscillator Network of Transcription Regulators

Based on the model describing the regulation of the PRM operator region of λ phage proposed by Jeff Hastyet al., we study the noise effects on the oscillator network. We find that the additive noise cannot change the period andthe amplitude of the relaxation oscillator, but in the multiplicative case, the period of the relaxation oscillator increasesto a constant value with the increase of the strength of noise, and the amplitude of the relaxation oscillator also showsincreases with the increase of the strength of noise. This novel results suggest that an external multiplicative noise sourcecould be used to control gene expression.

Expression of interferon inducible protein-10 in pancreas of mice

AIM: To investigate the expression of interferon inducible protein-10 (IP-10) in pancreas of mice and to discuss its possible role in the pathogenesis of type 1 ***: Non-obese diabetic (NOD) mice were used as experiment group and BALB/c mice as non-diabetic prone model. Immunohistochemistry method was used to evaluate the expression of IP-10 in the pancreas of NOD mice and BALB/c mice. Immunoelectron microscope was used to show the location of IP-10 in pancreatic islet β ***: Pancreatic islets were positively stained in all the NOD mice. Insulitis could be found in mice at the age of 4 wk. The weakly positive results were found in control group with no insulitis. Immunoelectron microscopy further demonstrated that IP-10 was produced by pancreatic β cells and stored in cytoplasm of the ***: IP-10 can be largely produced in pancreatic islets of NOD mice at the age of 2 wk when there is no significant insulitis, and may play an important part in the pathogenesis of type 1 diabetes by attracting immune cells to infiltrate the pancreatic islets.

Study the ethanol SI/HCCI combustion mode transition by using the fast thermal management system

In this paper the ethanol homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) is achieved in a modified single cylinder engine by means of a self-developed fast thermal management system (FTMS), and the ethanol SI/HCCI operation regions are defined. It can be concluded that the thermal efficiency is higher and the NOx emission is lower in the HCCI operation region. In addition, the maximum NOx emission drops by 98%. The ethanol SI/HCCI combustion mode transition is conducted in different conditions near the SI/HCCI operation boundaries. It is likely to realize the transition by the utilization of FTMS. However, it is impossible to complete the transition within one operating cycle under current operation conditions. There are fluctuations in engine speed and brake mean effective pressure during the transition process. In order to reduce the fluctuations during the transition, the initial work concerning the effects of the spark ignition on the transition smoothness is carried out and the investigation indicates that the engine speed and brake mean effective pressure fluctuations cannot be eradicated only through spark ignition. Therefore, the control strategies combined with other factors should be further optimized.

Micro-texturing has been widely proven to be an effective technology for achieving sustainable ***,the performance of micro-textured tools under different cooling conditions,especially their coupling effect on machined surface integrity,was scarcely *** this paper,the non-textured,linear micro-grooved,and curvilinear micro-grooved inserts were used to turn aluminum alloy 6061 under dry,emulsion,and liquid nitrogen cryogenic cooling *** coupling effects of different micro-textures and cooling conditions on cutting force,cutting temperature,and machined surface integrity,including the surface roughness,work hardening,and residual stress,were revealed and discussed in *** indicated that the micro-grooved tools,especially the curvilinear micro-grooved tools,not only reduced the cutting force and cutting temperature,but also improved the machined surface *** addition,the micro-grooved tools can cooperate with the emulsion or liquid nitrogen to reduce the cutting force,cutting temperature,and improve the machined surface integrity generally,although the combination of emulsion cooling condition and micro-grooved tools generated negative coupling effects on cutting forces and surface work ***,the combination of curvilinear micro-grooved cutting tools and cryogenic cooling condition resulted in the lowest cutting force and cutting temperature,which generated the surface with low roughness,weak work hardening,and compressive residual stress.

A new excellent cytoplasmic type of CMS line Sl0-2A in rice with typical abortion type (TAT)from Minghui 63 was obtained by in vitro culture. It possesses high percentage of exerted stigma with strong vitality, big opening angle of spikelet, high flowering rate before noon and iow percentage of cleistogamous spikelet. The relationship between restoring and maintaining of S10-2A is completely different from that of WA type, HL type and BT type.

High-density lipoprotein associated factors apoA-I and serum amyloid A in Chinese non-diabetic patients with coronary heart disease

Background High-density lipoprotein cholesterol（HDL-C）levels are a strong,independent inverse predictor of coronary heart disease （CHD）.In this cross-sectional study we investigated the interrelationships between HDL-C and HDL relaled factors apolipoprotein A-I（apoA-I）and serum amyloid A（SAA）and the presence and extent of CHD in a population of Chinese patients with CHD. Chronic eosinophilic pneumonia with mucous plugs:case report

Chronic eosinophilic pneumonia （CEP）, a rare eosinophilic lung disease of unknown etiology,is characterized by peripheral blood eosinophilia, chest radiograph infiltrates, and prompt response to corticosteroid therapy. The first detailed description of CEP was described by Carrington et al in 1969. The usual symptoms are cough, dyspnea, fever, and weight loss. It is most often seen in middle aged woman and has a subacute onset. We report a case of CEP presenting with right lower lung infiltrates and mucus plugging that causing bronchus obstruction.

In this paper, based on LMS *** motion(VL motion) and AMESim, a joint simulation of the trajectory of the tooth tip during excavation of the excavator is carried out, the hydraulic system of the excavator is analyzed and a variety of excavation motion trajectories are planned, and the error between the simulated trajectory and the target trajectory of the excavator is obtained in the operation of the excavator in the no-load trajectory. The co-simulation results show that the error between the simulated trajectory and the target trajectory of the excavator in the unloaded trajectory operation is within 17mm in the digging trajectory, within 14mm in the flat trajectory, and within 24mm in the ditch trajectory. The trajectory tracking accuracy under different working conditions is effectively maintained.

Association factors of target organ damage： analysis of 17 682 elderly hypertensive patients in China

Background Hypertensive target organ damage （TOD） is the main reason for mortality or disability in elderly hypertensive patients. The studies on TOD of hypertension in Asia, especially in Chinese elderly hypertensive patients, are very limited. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence and correlative factors of TOD in older Chinese hypertensive inpatients. Methods This is a retrospective survey and data were collected from the computerized medical files of hypertensive inpatients from January of 1993 to December of 2008. The analysis was done on 17 682 inpatients, aged 60 years or older, with a diagnosis of essential hypertension （EH）. The evidence of hypertensive TOD and associated factors with TOD were collected. Results The prevalence of any hypertensive target organ involvement among these subjects was high. In multivariable Logistic regressions adjusted for potentially confounding factors, older age, male gender, diabetes, EH grade 3, systolic blood pressure （SBP）, and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol （LDL-C）, were independently associated with coronary artery disease. Age, duration of EH, EH grade 3, SBP, pulse pressure （PP）, and homocysteine （Hcy） were independently associated with cerebrovascular disease. Age, diabetes, duration of EH, EH grade 3, SBP, PP and estimated glomerular filtration rate （eGFR） were independently associated with chronic kidney disease. Male gender, EH grade 3 and SBP were independently associated with aortic dissection. Conclusions The prevalence of hypertensive TOD is high in older Chinese hypertensive inpatients. Various cardiovascular risk factors are associated with hypertensive TOD. The level of SBP and severe hypertension （grade 3 hypertension） are common independent risk factors of TOD.
