Antimony selenide(Sb_(2)Se_(3))is one of the perspective candidates for potassium-ion batteries due to its advanced virtues stem including featured high capacity,fertile reserves and the relative narrow band *** the unique advantages,it is still plagued by the unstable interface compatibility and poor wider-temperature *** optimization of microstructure and the construction of inorganic-organic hybrids with a low desolvation barrier and rapid kinetics behaviors are efficient to address these *** Sb_(2)Se_(3)nanorods enclosed by the S-doped carbon layer(SC),further crosslinked by the poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PM)film(PM@Sb_(2)Se_(3)@SC),were artificially fabricated,and it displays the enrichment ion aggregated model as well as contacted ion pair state,the well-tailored cooperation environment of potassium bonds,assuring a homogeneous potassium deposition and an excellent widertemperature *** complicated experimental studies and theoretical calculations authenticate the synergistic effects of geometric conformation and compositional design for the tremendously enhanced potassium ***,the full device over PM@Sb_(2)Se_(3)@SC anode and the potassium Prussian blue cathode manifests impressively durable cycling life and wider-temperature adaptability,verifying the glorious contribution from the finely manipulation in solvation structure and potassium bonds to enhancing the potassium storage behaviors.

The sluggish kinetics behaviors and vast volume variations of Na^(+)hosts to FeS_(2)anode involved intercalation,and conversion reactions plague its applicability of sodium-ion batteries(SIBs).Here,a significantly expedited kinetics via cation intercalation and considerably relieved stress accumulation by constructing the concave scaffold protector are approached for FeS_(2)*** Mn^(2+)intercalation into FeS_(2),a new stable Mn-FeS_(2)was generated with distorted coordination;elevated antibonding orbital occupancy and lowed d band center to the release of more free Na^(+)were achieved,which was further encapsulated by hollow bowl-like carbon spheres(BC)This cation intercalation and concave morphology strategies confer Mn-FeS_(2)@BC significantly enhanced electron ion transport kinetics via reversed electron transfer to FeS_(2)fast desolvation kinetics,and evidently depressed structural deformation during Na^(+)insertion and ***,Mn-FeS_(2)@BC delivers the longevity and stable Na^(+)storage capacity in both half and full cell ***,Mn-FeS_(2)@BC also displays excellen adaptability in a wider temperature *** work proposes new views into the deep regulation of electrochemical performance of transition metal anodes via intercalation chemistry and concave engineering.

Tuning sodium wettability and pore tortuosity for superior sodium storage

Abundant FeS2 with high theoretical capacity is one of the promising anode candidates in sodium-ion batteries(SlBs),however,the uneven sodium deposition due to the poor interface compatibility and sluggish reaction kinetics because of the high activation barrier still plague its practical ***,we synthesized the ordered porous carbon matrix wrapped FeS2 nanoparticles(FeS_2@OCN)with high sodium wettability and low pore tortuosity to economically enhance the interface compatibility as well as to lower the energy barrier in *** synergistic effects of low tortuosity pores and strong sodium wettability homogenize the Na+flux distribution,bring the electron dislocation via the enrichment of edgenitrogen(Pyridinic N and Pyrrolic N),thus achieving the dendrite-free sodium deposition and dramatically enhanced reaction *** from exceptional structural/compositional/electronic merits,the resultant anode is endowed with exceptional structure stability,achieving long-term cycling stability of 451.9 mAh·g^(-1)after 1000cycles at 1 A·g^(-1)with specific capacity retention of 92.9%.Attenuated electrode tortuosity and high sodium wettability can corporately improve the interface compatibility and attenuate the activation barrier of the FeS_2 host and beyond.

Infrared Spectroscopic Investigations of J-aggregates of Protonated Tetraphenylporphine

Protonated tetraphenylporphine（H2TPP） J-aggregates were prepared by aggregation on the liquid-air interface. Using FTIR spectroscopy, the authors observed the infrared absorption spectra of H2TPP and its J-aggregates. The IR spectra of H2TPP J-aggregates show significant changes compared with that of HETPP monomer. Intensity changes（e.g., strong enhancement of the in-plane vibronic mode and weakening of the out-of-plane vibronic mode of phenyl and porphyrin skeletal） were interpreted on the basis of stacking effects. Observation of the same type of bands collapse into single band was explained by the increase in the symmetry of H2TPP molecules. And the new bands at 1635 and 3407 cm^-1 indicate the aggregates containing a large amount of bound water.

Hydroisomerization of n-alkanes plays an important role in fuel and lubricants *** catalysts with ultralow platinum loading have recently been reported successively for ***,the catalysts were prepared successfully with different methods to improve the catalytic *** conversion of 0.01%Pt1@CeOx/SAPO-11 prepared by co-calcination method（0.01%Pt1@CS-c） is 71.4%,25% higher than the other prepared by precipitation *** turnover frequency per active surface platinum site（TOFPt） of 0.01%Ptl@CS-c is as high as 13115 *** by the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS） results,the quality of phase boundary/intersurface between ceria and zeolite is found significantly *** conjunction quality of phase boundary directly affects the spillover rate of intermediate species,which further leads to an apparent activity *** addition,the possible role of ceria in the reaction is discussed,rather than just as a carrier for the active metal atoms.

Post-tunable salt gel electrolytes toward flexible supercapacitor switches

Convertible hydrogel supercapacitors have emerged as promising energy storage devices in switches,diodes,and ***,inherent weaknesses in ionic conductivity,mechanical properties,and water retention of hydrogel electrolytes seriously hinder their *** by the hardness conversion of sea cucumber skin,a conductivity and mechanics dual-tunable salt gel electrolyte is successfully *** salt gel presents a reversible switching of conductors-insulators and a mechanical regulation between softness and hardness via the dissolution-crystallization transition of sodium acetate trihydrate(SAT).Meanwhile,the salt gels spontaneously grow a layer of“armor”through saturated phase-change salt crystals effectively reducing water evaporation of hydrogel ***,this phase-change soft-rigid conversion strategy will expand the capabilities of gel-based flexible supercapacitors(area capacitance:258.6 mF cm^(-2)),and the capacitance retention rate could still reach 86.9%after 3000 cycles at high ***,the salt gel supercapacitor is potentially used in over-heat alarm *** is anticipated that the strategy of conductivity and mechanics of dual-tunable salt gel would provide a new perspective on the development of energy storage devices,wearable electronics,and flexible robots.

Sulfur doping and oxygen vacancy in In2O3 nanotube co-regulate intermediates of CO2 electroreduction for efficient HCOOH production and rechargeable Zn-CO2 battery

By manipulating the distribution of surface electrons,defect engineering enables effective control over the adsorption energy between adsorbates and active sites in the CO2reduction reaction（CO2RR）.Herein,we report a hollow indium oxide nanotube containing both oxygen vacancy and sulfur doping（V_o-Sx-In2O3） for improved CO2-to-HCOOH electroreduction and *** componential synergy significantly reduces the*OCHO formation barrier to expedite protonation process and creates a favorable electronic micro-environment for*HCOOH *** a result,the CO2RR performance of Vo-Sx-In2O3outperforms Pure-In2O3and V_o-In2O3,where V_o-S53-In2O3exhibits a maximal HCOOH Faradaic efficiency of 92.4% at-1,2 V *** hydrogen electrode（RHE） in H-cell and above 92%over a wide window potential with high current density(119.1 mA cm-2at-1.1 V ***) in flow ***,the rechargeable Zn-CO2battery utilizing V_o-S53-In2O3as cathode shows a high power density of 2.29 mW cm-2and a long-term stability during charge-discharge *** work provides a valuable perspective to elucidate co-defective catalysts in regulating the intermediates for efficient CO2RR.

Isospin splitting of the Dirac mass probed using the relativistic Brueckner-Hartree-Fock theory

The isospin splitting of the Dirac mass obtained using the relativistic Brueckner-Hartree-Fock(RBHF)theory was thor-oughly *** the perspective in the full Dirac space,the long-standing controversy between the momentum-independent approximation(MIA)method and the projection method on the isospin splitting of the Dirac mass in asymmetric nuclear matter was analyzed in *** found that the assumption procedure of the MIA method,which assumes that single-particle potentials are momentum independent,is not a sufficient condition that directly leads to the opposite sign of the isospin splitting of the Dirac mass,whereas the extraction procedure of the MIA method,which extracts single-particle potentials from single-particle potential energy,changes the sign.A formal expression of the Dirac mass was obtained by approximately solving a set of equations involved in the extraction *** opposite isospin splitting of the Dirac mass was mainly caused by the extraction procedure,which forcibly assumed that the momentum dependence of the single-particle potential energy was in a quadratic form,in which the strength was solely determined by a constant scalar *** understanding of the isospin splitting of the Dirac mass from ab initio calculations could enhance our knowledge of neutron-rich systems,such as exotic nuclei and neutron stars.
