Early systemic anticoagulation reduces hospital readmission in acute necrotizing pancreatitis patients:A retrospective cohort study

Background:Early systemic anticoagulation(SAC)is a common practice in acute necrotizing pancreatitis(ANP),and its impact on in-hospital clinical outcomes had been ***,whether it affects long-term outcomes is *** study aimed to evaluate the effect of SAC on 90-day readmission and other long-term outcomes in ANP ***:During January 2013 and December 2018,ANP patients admitted within 7 days from the onset of abdominal pain were *** primary outcome was 90-day readmission after *** proportional-hazards regression model and mediation analysis were used to define the relationship between early SAC and 90-day ***:A total of 241 ANP patients were enrolled,of whom 143 received early SAC during their hospitalization and 98 did *** who received early SAC experienced a lower incidence of splanchnic venous thrombosis(SVT)[risk ratio(RR)=0.40,95%CI:0.26-0.60,P<0.01]and lower 90-day readmission with an RR of 0.61(95%CI:0.41-0.91,P=0.02)than those who did *** the quality of life,patients who received early SAC had a significantly higher score in the subscale of vitality(P=0.03)while the other subscales were all comparable between the two *** Cox regression model showed that early SAC was an independent protective factor for 90-day readmission after adjusting for potential confounders with a hazard ratio of 0.57(95%CI:0.34-0.96,P=0.04).Mediation analysis showed that SVT mediated 37.0%of the early SAC-90-day readmission ***:The application of early SAC may reduce the risk of 90-day readmission in the survivors of ANP patients,and reduced SVT incidence might be the primary contributor.

The quantitative assessment of glacier flow velocity dynamics plays a pivotal role in understanding its response mechanisms concerning climate *** work provides a systematic quantitative assessment of the deceleration status of glaciers in this region by investigating the motion evolution of typical glaciers in Mount Gongga in recent years,thereby revealing the seasonal dynamics and inter-annual evolution over an extensive time *** used the optical flow-small baseline subset(OF-SBAS)method to compute the time-series velocities of the Hai-luogou Glacier and the Mozigou Glacier using 178 archived Sentinel-1 satellite synthetic aperture radar(SAR)images from 2014 to *** findings revealed a prominent seasonal pattern in glacier motion,characterised by cyclic variations in velocity from cold to warm ***,we identified variations in velocities across distinct regions of the glacier surface,underscored by the lag in the peak time node of glacier flow with increasing *** pattern may have been determined by a combination of internal and external factors,including mass accumulation and ablation-driven subglacial drainage,as well as the glacier geomorphological ***,during 2015-2021,the glaciers on the eastern slope of Mount Gongga exhibited an overarching trend of ***,the ablation area of the Hailuogou Glacier recorded the most substantial deceleration,exceeding 8%per *** study underscores the efficacy of the OF-SBAS method in extracting long-term glacier *** work also establishes a robust foundation for the analysis of spatiotemporal fluctuations in glacier movement within the context of climate warming.

Deep Guided Attention Network for Joint Denoising and Demosaicing in Real Image

Denoising(DN) and demosaicing(DM) are the first crucial stages in the image signal processing pipeline. Recently, researches pay more attention to solve DN and DM in a joint manner, which is an extremely undetermined inverse problem. Existing deep learning methods learn the desired prior on synthetic dataset, which limits the generalization of learned network to the real world data. Moreover, existing methods mainly focus on the raw data property of high green information sampling rate for DM, but occasionally exploit the high intensity and signalto-noise(SNR) of green channel. In this work, a deep guided attention network(DGAN) is presented for real image joint DN and DM(JDD), which considers both high SNR and high sampling rate of green information for DN and DM, respectively. To ease the training and fully exploit the data property of green channel, we first train DN and DM sub-networks sequentially and then learn them jointly, which can alleviate the error accumulation. Besides, in order to support the real image JDD, we collect paired raw clean RGB and noisy mosaic images to conduct a realistic dataset. The experimental results on real JDD dataset show the presented approach performs better than the state-of-the-art methods, in terms of both quantitative metrics and qualitative visualization.

In this paper,we propose an analytical stochastic dynamic programming(SDP)algorithm to address the optimal management problem of price-maker community energy *** a price-maker,energy storage smooths price differences,thus decreasing energy arbitrage ***,this price-smoothing effect can result in significant external welfare changes by reduc-ing consumer costs and producer revenues,which is not negligible for the community with energy storage *** such,we formulate community storage management as an SDP that aims to maximize both energy arbitrage and community *** incorporate market interaction into the SDP format,we propose a framework that derives partial but sufficient market information to approximate impact of storage operations on market *** we present an analytical SDP algorithm that does not require state *** from computational efficiency,another advantage of the analytical algorithm is to guide energy storage to charge/discharge by directly comparing its current marginal value with expected future marginal *** studies indicate community-owned energy storage that maximizes both arbitrage and welfare value gains more benefits than storage that maximizes only *** proposed algorithm ensures optimality and largely reduces the computational complexity of the standard *** Terms-Analytical stochastic dynamic programming,energy management,energy storage,price-maker,social welfare.

Objective:To compare the differences in blood oxygen level-dependent(BOLD)parameters following maternal hyperoxia between normal pregnancy and pregnancy in the rat model of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM).Methods:GDM was induced by high-fat and sucrose diet(HFS)combined with an intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin(STZ).On embryonic day 19(E19),the two groups of pregnant rats were imaged using a 7.0-T animal MRI *** was initially used to localize the fetoplacental units(FPUs).Next,multiple gradient echo BOLD was performed during the air and oxygen inhalation periods.T2^(*)map was then generated,and the baseline T2^(*)and absolute changes in T2^(*)value(ΔT2^(*),difference between T2^(*)oxy and T2^(*)air)were *** the MRI scan,the placentas and fetuses were aseptically stripped,weighed,and ***:Nine rats were used in this *** maternal oxygen inhalation,T2^(*)increased significantly in all subjects in both ***ΔT2^(*)for the placenta(5.97 vs.7.81 msec;P=0.007)and fetal brain(2.23 vs.3.97 msec;P=0.005)differed significantly between the GDM and control *** detection of placental glycogen content and inflammatory cytokines(IL-6 and TNF-α)showed significantly higher levels in the GDM than in the normal ***:BOLD-MRI revealed abnormalities in the fetoplacental response to maternal hyperoxygenation in rats with *** believe that this approach can potentially be used to evaluate placental dysfunction and assess the state of the fetus during pregnancy with GDM.

A Type of New Loop Algebra and a Generalized Tu Formula

A new Lie algebra, which is far different form the known An-1, is established, for which the corresponding loop algebra is given. From this, two isospectral problems are revealed, whose compatibility condition reads a kind of zero curvature equation, which permits Lax integrable hierarchies of soliton equations. To aim at generating Hamiltonian structures of such soliton-equation hierarchies, a beautiful Killing-Cartan form, a generalized trace functional of matrices, is given, for which a generalized Tu formula （GTF） is obtained, while the trace identity proposed by Tu Guizhang [J. Math. Phys. 30 （1989） 330] is a special case of the GTF. The computing formula on the constant γ to be determined appearing in the GTF is worked out, which ensures the exact and simple computation on it. Finally, we take two examples to reveal the applications of the theory presented in the article. In details, the first example reveals a new Liouville-integrable hierarchy of soliton equations along with two potential functions and Hamiltonian structure. To obtain the second integrable hierarchy of soliton equations, a higher-dimensional loop algebra is first constructed. Thus, the second example shows another new Liouville integrable hierarchy with 5-potential component functions and bi- Hamiltonian structure. The approach presented in the paper may be extensively used to generate other new integrable soliton-equation hierarchies with multi-Hamiltonian structures.

Multi-physical fields distribution in billet during helical electromagnetic stirring:A numerical simulation research

Electromagnetic stirring is one of the widely applied techniques to modify the quality of casting *** from conventional rotate stirring,the helical stirring is more professional in assisting multi-dimensional flow of molten metal and eliminating solidification *** this study,the single-winding helical stirring(SWHS)was introduced,offering advantages such as smaller volume and lower electromagnetic shielding compared to traditional helical stirring *** a comprehensive numerical simulation,the stirring parameters of SWHS were adjusted to yoke inclination angle of 43°and frequency of 12 *** higher electromagnetic force and flow velocity in drawing direction,as well as the lower temperature gradient induced by the SWHS,are positive factors for homogeneous solidification of *** experimental results on Al-8%Si alloy and 0.4%C-1.1%Mn steel demonstrate that compared to rotate stirring,the SWHS process can induce better billet quality and is more effective in accelerating the equiaxed expansion and reducing element *** SWHS process can enhance the equiaxed ratio of the billet by 58.3%and reduce segregation degree of carbon element by 10.97%.Consequently,SWHS holds great promise as a potential approach for improving the quality of continuous casting billets.
