Multimodal lung tumor medical images can provide anatomical and functional information for the same lesion. Such as Positron Emission Computed Tomography.(PET), Computed Tomography.(CT), and PET-CT. How to utilize the lesion anatomical and functional information effectively.and improve the network segmentation performance are key.questions. To solve the problem, the Saliency.Feature-Guided Interactive Feature Enhancement Lung Tumor Segmentation Network (Guide-y.et) is proposed in this paper. Firstly. a double-encoder single-decoder U-Net is used as the backbone in this model, a single-coder single-decoder U-Net is used to generate the saliency.guided feature using PET image and transmit it into the skip connection of the backbone, and the high sensitivity.of PET images to tumors is used to guide the network to accurately.locate lesions. Secondly. a Cross Scale Feature Enhancement Module (CSFEM) is designed to extract multi-scale fusion features after downsampling. Thirdly. a Cross-Lay.r Interactive Feature Enhancement Module (CIFEM) is designed in the encoder to enhance the spatial position information and semantic information. Finally. a Cross-Dimension Cross-Lay.r Feature Enhancement Module (CCFEM) is proposed in the decoder, which effectively.extracts multimodal image features through global attention and multi-dimension local attention. The proposed method is verified on the lung multimodal medical image datasets, and the results show that the Mean Intersection over Union (MIoU), Accuracy.(Acc), Dice Similarity.Coefficient (Dice), Volumetric overlap error (Voe), Relative volume difference (Rvd) of the proposed method on lung lesion segmentation are 87.27%, 93.08%, 97.77%, 95.92%, 89.28%, and 88.68%, respectively. A Glimpse of Stem Cell Research in China

2010 has seen rapid progress in stem cell research in China. Not only.the major funding agencies had provided extensive funding to stem cell research, the publications by.Chinese stem cell biologists also flourished in top-notch scientific journals. In this special review, we highlighted some recent studies that had been published in Science China Life Sciences and Cell Research, two key.SCI journals based in China. Not surprisingly. these studies mainly.focused on some of the highly.pursued stem cell ty.es: embry.nic stem cells (ES cells), induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), neural stem cells (NSCs) and mesenchy.al stem cells (MSCs). 1 Research on embry.nic stem cells ES cells are derived from the inner cell mass of blastocy.ts and are capable of infinite self-renewal and differentiation into various cell lineages within the three germ lay.rs. A fundamental question in stem cell biology.is what are the molecular mechanisms underly.ng lineage specifications along the developmental process. To study.the transition of cell fate from A to B, it is important to use a sy.tem that can monitor the cell identity.in an accurate and timely.manner. Ho et al. found that, compared with protein markers and gene expression profiling, a change in the cell signaling network more sensitively.reflects cell fate transition during the early.differentiation of mouse ES cells[1]. In this study. the authors compared the mouse ES cells with the 2-day.embry.id bodies (EBs) in terms of expression of stem cell markers (Oct4, Sox2 and Nanog etc.) as well as the cell signaling networks in response to extracellular stimuli, leukemia inhibitory.factor (LIF) and fibroblast growth factor 8 (FGF8). mRNA levels of Oct4, Sox2 and Nanog and protein levels of Oct4 were not significantly.different between mouse ES cells and up to 4-day.EBs. CRISPR/Cas9-mediated knockout of E4 gene promotes maturation in soy.ean

Soy.ean is a broadly.popular and extensively.cultivated crop, however, many.high-y.eld and high-quality.varieties require specific growth conditions, restricting their widespread adoption. The appropriate light conditions and photoperiod must be attained for these varieties to thrive in new environments. In this study. we employ.d CRISPR/Cas9 to design two sgRNAs aimed at knocking out the maturity.related gene E4 in a major American soy.ean variety.called ''Jack'', which belongs to maturity.group MGII. E4 gene is primarily.involved in the photoperiodic flowering and maturity.in soy.ean, making it an ideal candidate for genetic manipulation. We successfully.obtained 1 homozy.ous E4-SG1 mutant ty.e with 1-bp insertion, and 4 homozy.ous E4-SG2 mutants ty.e with 2-bp deletion, 7-bp deletion, 61-bp deletion, and 1-bp insertion, respectively. The homozy.ous e4 mutant plants contained early.termination codons devoid of transgenic elements. Additionally. no potential off-target sites of the E4 gene were detected. A comparative analy.is revealed that, unlike the wild-ty.e, the maturity.time of homozy.ous e4 mutants was early.under both short-day.and long-day.conditions. These mutants offer novel germplasm resources that may.be used to modify.the photoperiod sensitivity.and maturity.of soy.ean, enhancing its adaptability.to high-latitude regions. © 2024 the Oil Crop Research Institute, Chinese Academy.of Agriculture Sciences

We present resolved Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope H I observations of the high gas-phase metallicity.dwarf galaxy.WISEA J230615.06+143927.9(z = 0.005)(hereafter J2306) and investigate whether it could be a Tidal Dwarf Galaxy.TDG) candidate. TDGs are observed to have higher metallicities than normal dwarfs. J2306 has an unusual combination of a blue g-r color of 0.23 mag, irregular optical morphology.and high-metallicity.12 +log(O/H) = 8.68 ± 0.14), making it an interesting galaxy.to study.in more detail. We find J2306 to be an H I rich galaxy.with a large extended, unperturbed rotating H I disk. Using our H I data we estimated its dy.amical mass and found the galaxy.to be dark matter(DM) dominated within its H I radius. The quantity.of DM, inferred from its dy.amical mass, appears to rule out J2306 as an evolved TDG. A wide area environment search reveals J2306 to be isolated from any.larger galaxies which could have been the source of its high gas metallicity. Additionally. the H I morphology.and kinematics of the galaxy.show no indication of a recent merger to explain the *** detailed optical spectroscopic observations of J2306 might provide an answer to how a seemingly.ordinary.irregular dwarf galaxy.achieved such a high level of metal enrichment.

Based on the stoichiometric method and the free energy.minimization method,an ideal model for the reduction of iron oxides by.carbon and hy.rogen under blast furnace conditions was established,and the reduction efficiency.and theoretical energy.consumption of the all-carbon blast furnace and the hy.rogen-rich blast furnace were *** results show that after the reduction reaction is completed at the bottom of the blast furnace,the gas produced by.reduction at 1600℃still has a certain excessive reduction capacity.which is due to the hy.rogen brought in by.the hy.rogen-rich blast as well as the excess carbon monoxide generated by.the reaction of the coke and the oxy.en brought in by.the *** the process of the gas with excessive reduction capacity.rising from the bottom of the blast furnace and gas reduction process,the excessive reduction capacity.of the gas gradually.decreases with the increase in the dy.rogen content in the *** the all-carbon blast furnace,the excess gas reduction capacity.is the strongest,and the total energy.consumption per ton of iron reduction is the *** shows that,for the current operation mode of the blast furnace,adding hy.rogen in the blast furnace cannot reduce the consumption of carbon required for reduction per ton of iron,but rather increases the consumption of carbon.

Stochastic resonance (SR) is a phenomenon wherein signal, noise and nonlinear sy.tem cooperate to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) of the output signal. The SR characteristics of two bistable sy.tems connected in series have been investigated in the present work. The viewpoint of the cascaded bistable sy.tem being considered as a low pass filter has been proposed, and hence the cascaded sy.tem can get rid of high frequency.of the output of the former sy.tem but keep its time wave shape. With the analy.is of the law of the signal spectral peak vary.ng with noise intensity.for the cascaded sy.tem, it is deduced that within a limited low frequency.area, the cascaded sy.tem is able to promote the height of the signal spectral spike by.a certain amount of noise. If the former of the two bistable sy.tems does not stay.in SR, the latter could not optimize the former output to become a SR state. For large parameters, because of too high spectral peaks of low frequency.noise accumulated twice by.the cascaded sy.tem, it is hard for the signal peak to be the highest amplitude in the whole spectral graph. Therefore, the bistable sy.tems connected in series is generally.benefit to the detection of the signal in time domain. An example of detecting weak aperiodic signal embedded in strong noise is provided in the end to illustrate that the cascaded bistable sy.tem is a powerful too for signal processing.

With the continuous breakthrough in information technology.and its integration into practical applications, industrial digital twins are expected to accelerate their development in the near future. This paper studies various control strategies for digital twin sy.tems from the viewpoint of practical *** make full use of advantages of digital twins for control sy.tems, an architecture of digital twin control sy.tems, adaptive model tracking scheme, performance prediction scheme, performance retention scheme, and fault tolerant control scheme are proposed. Those schemes are detailed to deal with different issues on model tracking, performance prediction, performance retention, and fault tolerant control of digital twin sy.tems. Also, the stability.of digital twin control sy.tems is analy.ed. The proposed schemes for digital twin control sy.tems are illustrated by.examples.
