Magnesium-ion batteries(MIBs)have promising applications because of their high theoretical capacity and the natural abundance of magnesium ***,the kinetic performance and cyclic stability of cathode materials are limited by the strong interactions between Mg ions and the crystal ***,we demonstrate the unique Mg^(2+)-ion storage mechanism of a hierarchical accordion-like vanadium oxide/carbon heterointerface(V_(2)O_(3)@C),where the V_(2)O_(3) crystalline structure is reconstructed into a MgV_(3)O_(7)·H_(2)O phase through an anodic hydration reaction upon first cycle,for the improved kinetic and cyclic *** verified by in situ/ex situ spectroscopic and electrochemical analyses,the fast charge transfer kinetics of the V_(2)O_(3)@C cathode were due to the crystal-reconstruction and chemically coupled *** V_(2)O_(3)@C demonstrated an ultrahigh rate capacity of 130.4 mAh g^(-1)at 50000 mA g^(-1)and 1000 cycles,achieving a Coulombic efficiency of 99.6%.The high capacity of 381.0 mA h g^(-1)can be attributed to the reversible Mg^(2+)-ion intercalation mechanism observed in the MgV_(3)O_(7)·H_(2)O phase using a 0.3 M Mg(TFSI)2/ACN(H_(2)O)***,within the voltage range of 2.25 V versus Mg/Mg^(2+),the V_(2)O_(3)@C exhibited a capacity of 245.1 mAh g^(-1)when evaluated with magnesium metal in a 0.3 M Mg(TFSI)^(2+)0.25 M MgCl_(2)/DME *** research findings have important implications for understanding the relationship between the Mg-ion storage mechanism and reconstructed crystal phase of vanadium oxides as well as the heterointerface reconstruction for the rational design of MIB cathode materials.

Malicious Node Detection Using Confidence Level Evaluation in a Grid-Based Wireless Sensor Network

In this paper, we present a malicious node detection scheme using confidence-level evaluation in a grid-based wireless sensor network. The sensor field is divided into square grids, where sensor nodes in each grid form a cluster with a cluster head. Each cluster head maintains the confidence levels of its member nodes based on their readings and reflects them in decision-making. Two thresholds are used to distinguish between false alarms due to malicious nodes and events. In addition, the center of an event region is estimated, if necessary, to enhance the event and malicious node detection accuracy. Experimental results show that the scheme can achieve high malicious node detection accuracy without sacrificing normal sensor nodes.

Risk Points of Flame Retardant Textiles by Halogen and Halogen-Free Laminating Film

This study was to develop the flame retardant (FR) protective clothing which had multifunction such anti-bacterial, UV cut, FR function with water repellent and water vapor permeable laminating textiles for industrial workers. First of all, the FR yarn and FR textiles were developed for this purpose. Second, the comparison analysis between the halogen laminating textiles and halogen-free laminating textiles were tested to figure out the eco-friendly laminating method. Third, the flame retardant ability was compared the halogen laminated textiles to halogen-free laminated textiles. LOI, UV protection ratio, antibiosis after 50 laundry test, water proof pressure, and moisture permeability of developed textiles were tested. GC-HR-TOF-MS was used for analysis of laminating film (halogen and halogen-free). 4.1 wt% TiO2 yarn showed antibacterial function (Pneumococcus & Staphylococcus aureus: 99.9%), UV Protection (UVA: 90.8, UVB: 92.1), and LOI (33.6). The chosen optimal compounding ratio for PU compound of HRF and HFFR were as followed: PU resin 58.3%, DMF (Dimethyl formamide, δ = 12.2) 8.3%, MEK (Methylethylketone) 8.3% and FR (flame retardants) 25.0%. Binder for laminating should not be included over 10% of FRs because of adhesion between textiles and FR laminating film. There were detected phosphorus compounds in the textiles treated by halogenated type flame retardants and halogenated-free type flame retardants. There were not any detected harmful compounds from all textile samples.

Formation of unidirectional nanoporous structures in thickly anodized aluminum oxide layer

A series of anodic aluminum oxide(AAO) was grown on the commercially pure 1050 aluminum sheet by controlling electrolyte temperature(2-15 ℃) and anodizing time(0.5-6 h),using a fixed applied current density of 3 A/dm2 in diluted sulfuric acid electrolyte.A crack-free thick AAO with the thickness of 105-120 μm and containing unidirectional nano sized pores(average pore diameter of 5-7 nm) is successfully achieved in the specimens anodized for 2 h,irrespective of electrolyte *** anodizing time reaches 6 h,very thick AAO with the thickness of 230-284 μm is grown,and average diameter of unidirectional pores is in the range of 6-24 *** higher values in both the AAO thickness and pore diameter are attained for the specimens anodized at higher temperatures of 10-15 ℃.A crack is observed to exist in the AAO after anodizing up to 4 h and more.A higher fraction(more than 9%) of the crack is shown in the specimens anodized at higher temperatures of 10-15 ℃ for 6 h and a considerable amount of giant cracks are contained.

Eradication rate and histological changes after Helicobacter pylori eradication treatment in gastric cancer patients following subtotal gastrectomy

AIM: To investigate the eradication rate and histological changes after Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) eradication treatment following subtotal gastrectomy for gastric ***: A total of 610 patients with H. pylori infection who had undergone surgery for either early or advanced gastric adenocarcinoma between May 2004 and December 2010 were retrospectively studied. A total of 584 patients with proven H. pylori infection after surgery for gastric cancer were enrolled in this study. Patients received a seven day standard triple regimen as first-line therapy and a 10 d bismuthcontaining quadruple regimen as second-line therapy in cases of eradication failure. The patients underwent an esophagogastroduodenoscopy(EGD) between six and 12 mo after surgery, followed by annual EGDs. A further EGD was conducted 12 mo after confirming the result of the eradication and the histological changes. A gastric biopsy specimen for histological examination and Campylobacter-like organism testing was obtained from the lesser and greater curvature of the corpus of the remnant stomach. Histological changes in the gastric mucosa were assessed using the updated Sydney system before eradication therapy and at follow-up after 12 ***: Eradication rates with the first-line and second-line therapies were 78.4%(458/584) and 90%(36/40), respectively, by intention-to-treat analysis and 85.3%(458/530) and 92.3%(36/39), respectively, by per-protocol analysis. The univariate and multivariate analyses revealed that Billroth Ⅱ surgery was an independent factor predictive of eradication success in the eradication success group(OR = 1.53, 95%CI: 1.41-1.65, P = 0.021). The atrophy and intestinal metaplasia(IM) scores 12 mo after eradication were significantly lower in the eradication success group than in the eradication failure group(0.25 ± 0.04 vs 0.47 ± 0.12, P = 0.023; 0.27 ± 0.04 vs 0.51 ± 0.12, P = 0.015, respectively). BACKGROUND The clinical trend and characteristics of peptic ulcer disease(PUD)have not fully been investigated in the past *** To evaluate the changing trends and characteristics of PUD according to age and METHODS We analyzed seven hospital databases converted into the Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership-Common Data Model between 2010 and *** classified patients with PUD who underwent rapid urease tests or Helicobacter pylori(***)serology into three groups:***-related,drug[nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs(NSAIDs)or aspirin]-related,and idiopathic(***/NSAID/aspirin-negative)PUD and compared the yearly trends and characteristics among the three *** We included 26785 patients in 7 databases,and the proportion of old age(≥65 years)was 38.8%.The overall number of PUD exhibited no decrease,whereas PUD in old age revealed an increasing trend(P=0.01 for trend).Of the 19601 patients,41.8%had ***-related,36.1%had drug-related,and 22.1%had idiopathic *** PUD exhibited a decreasing trend after 2014(P=0.01),drug-related PUD demonstrated an increasing trend(P=0.04),and idiopathic PUD showed an increasing trend in the old-age group(P=0.01)during 10 *** with drug-related PUD had significantly more comorbidities and concomitant ulcerogenic *** idiopathic PUD group had a significantly higher number of patients with chronic liver *** With the aging population increase,the effects of concomitant ulcerogenic drugs and preventive strategies should be investigated in drug-induced *** studies are required to clarify the relationship between idiopathic PUD and chronic liver disease.
