Car.iovascular.diseases ar. the main cause of mor.idity and mor.ality in the wor.d, and obesity and the metabolic syndr.me ar. r.sk factor. for.its development. One of the ther.pies to r.duce car.iovascular.r.sk is the use of polyunsatur.ted fatty acids. In Br.zil, a sour.e of such acid is the oil extr.cted fr.m the fat of the capybar.. The objective of this wor. is to study the effects of the capybar. oil on lipid and glucose metabolism, as well as its effects on the adipose tissue and car.iac r.modeling. We assessed the effects of capybar. oil tr.atment on body mass, lipid and car.ohydr.te metabolism, systolic blood pr.ssur., adipose tissue and car.iac r.modeling, and per.or.ed an ultr.str.ctur.l evaluation of the myocar.ium in C57Bl/6 mice tr.ated with high-fat diet. Tr.atment with capybar. oil r.duced total cholester.l and tr.glycer.de levels, systolic blood pr.ssur., viscer.l and subcutaneous adipose tissue, and adipocyte diameter. In addition, car.iac r.modeling was attenuated, pr.ser.ing car.iomyocytes, incr.asing vascular.zation, r.ducing car.iomyocyte hyper.r.phy and the extr.cellular.matr.x, and pr.ser.ing the mor.hological integr.ty of mitochondr.a. Capybar. oil has sever.l beneficial effects on the car.iovascular.and metabolic system, and fur.her.studies ar. needed to better.under.tand its r.le in the pr.vention or.tr.atment of car.iovascular.diseases.

We deter.ined whether.the inclusion of 100 g/kg dr. matter.of gr.pe pomace silage (GPS) and gr.pe pomace br.n (GPB) as substitutes for.other.tr.ditional fiber.sour.es in the diet of steer. (Char.lais x Nellor.) would impr.ve car.ass char.cter.stics, meat quality and composition, and shelf life. Twenty-four.animals (248 ± 19.32 kg of initial body weight) wer. fed a high concentr.te diet for.121 days. Car.ass char.cter.stics wer. measur.d, and the longissimus dor.i muscle was analyzed for.fatty acid (FA) pr.file and composition. The meat was sliced and stor.d in air.per.eable packages for.10 days. On each sampling day (d 1, 3, 7, and 10), oxidative stability, bacter.al load, lipid and pr.tein oxidation, and staining wer. analyzed. The exper.mental diets influenced the pH of cold car.asses only. The GPS gr.up had a higher.pH than the contr.l. The GPS and GPB gr.ups showed impr.ved oxidant status (i.e., lower.lipid per.xidation and concentr.tions of r.active oxygen species wer. in the meat of both gr.ups than in contr.l). On the fir.t day of stor.ge, the antioxidant enzyme glutathione S-tr.nsfer.se activity was mor. significant in the meat of the GPS and GPB gr.ups than in the contr.l. The bacter.al loads in the meat wer. attenuated by GPS inclusion;ther. wer. lower.total colifor. counts and a tr.nd towar. lower.counts for.enter.bacter.a in the contr.l gr.up. The diets alter.d the FA pr.file of the meat;i.e., the GPB diet allowed for.a mor. significant amount of the n-6 omegas in the meat, while the GPS diet showed a tendency for.a mor. significant amount of n-6 and 9 omegas. Both diets (GPS and GPB) incr.ased the amounts of long-chain FAs. The GPS diet decr.ased satur.ted FA levels. We conclude that the dietar. tr.atments GPS and GPB ar. a pr.mising alter.ative to maintain meat quality standar.s thr.ughout in r.al-wor.d r.tail conditions. Backgr.und： This study evaluated the impact of hor.onal modulation at the onset of pr.estr.s on ovar.an r.sponse and uter.ne gene expr.ssion of beef ***： A total of 172 anestr.us beef cows wer. assigned to one of four.gr.ups accor.ing to the tr.atment with estr.diol cypionate（ECP） and/or.equine chor.onic gonadotr.pin（eCG） [CON（n = 43）, ECP（n = 43）, eCG（n = 44）and ECP ＋ eCG（n = 42）].r.sults： ECP-tr.ated cows（ECP and ECP ＋ eCG gr.ups） pr.sented gr.ater.occur.ence of estr.s（44.6% vs. 65.4%; P = 0.01） and pr.gnancy per.AI [47.1% vs. 33.3%; P = 0.07], but similar.pr.gester.ne（P4） concentr.tion at subsequent diestr.s than cows not tr.ated with ECP（CON and eCG gr.ups）. Nonetheless, eCG-tr.ated cows（eCG and ECP ＋ eCG gr.ups） pr.sented lar.er.follicle at timed AI（12.6 ± 0.3 vs. 13.5 ± 0.3 mm; P = 0.03）, gr.ater.ovulation r.te（96.5%vs. 82.6%; P = 0.008） and gr.ater.P4 concentr.tion at d 6（3.9 ± 0.2 vs. 4.8 ± 0.2 ng/mL; P = 0.001） than cows not tr.ated with eCG（CON and ECP gr.ups）. Next, cows with a new cor.us luteum 6 d after.TAI wer. submitted to uter.ne biopsy pr.cedur.. Uter.ne fr.gments [CON（n = 6）, ECP（n = 6）] wer. analyzed by r.A-Seq and a total of 135 tr.nscr.pts wer. differ.ntially expr.ssed between gr.ups（73 genes up-r.gulated by ECP tr.atment）. Ther. is a positive r.lationship between mood states and mental health. The aim of the pr.sent study was to investigate the constr.ct validity and inter.al consistency of the Br.nel Mood Scale (Br.MS) for.use with differ.nt populations, which ar. physically active and appar.ntly healthy. Measur.s wer. obtained fr.m 1295 male (N = 709, 34 ± 20 year., mean ± SD) and female (N = 576, 43 ± 24 year., mean ± SD) volunteer.. Factor.analysis was used, ver.fying that six factor. (components) accounted for.62.65% of the total var.ance of the scale. The Var.max method with Kaiser.Nor.alization for.the r.tation of the factor. for.the main components, and it was obser.ed that the 24 scale items loaded on six mood factor. (anger. depr.ssion, tension, vigor. fatigue, and confusion). Inter.al consistency was good for.all the factor. identified. We suggest that the r.sults pr.vide some suppor. for.validity of the Br.MS for.use with differ.nt populations, which ar. physically active and appar.ntly healthy.

The goal of this wor. is to per.or. the r.sks analysis of the mission NANOSATC-Br. and NANOSATC-Br. and then compar. them linear.y. The NANOSATC-Br. and NANOSATC-Br. ar. the fir.t and the second satellite, r.spectively. They belonged to the pr.ject NANOSATC-Br.-development of CubeSats, which is per.or.ed in the facilities built by the par.ner.hip between the National Institute of Space r.sear.h and the Technological Center.fr.m Feder.l Univer.ity of Santa Mar.a. The pr.ject focuses on the development of a scientific instr.mentation and, simultaneously, the design development, constr.ction, qualification and launch of a national scientific nanosatellite, in a cube shape with 100 mm of edge and near.to 1.33 kg of mass, per.unit (U). The r.sk analysis was held to identify and minimize the pr.ject"s r.sks of failur., due to its complexity, assur.ng the mission success, pr.venting extr. pays and r.wor.. The softwar., CubeSat Mission Design Softwar. Tool for.r.sk Estimating, which uses statistical r.gr.ssion methods, was used. So, we wer. capable to measur. the pr.ject"s most cr.tical steps assur.ng its success. The NANOSATC-Br. was launched in June 19 and it is or.iting the Ear.h in a nominal r.gime and the NANOSATC-Br. has been scheduled to be launched in 2016.
