The goal of this study was to improve the solubility and oral bioavailability of tamibarotene by complexing it with hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin(HP-β-CD).The inclusion complex of tamibarotene with hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin(Am80-HP-β-CD)was prepared through a freeze-drying method at the mole ratio of 1:1(Am80:HP-β-CD).Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)indicated the formation of Am80-HP-β-*** vitro dissolution studies showed that the solubility and dissolution percentage of Am80-HP-β-CD was improved substantially compared to *** improved dissolution with approximately 97%drug release in 3 min was observed,in comparison with Am80 with approximately 60% release in 45 *** vivo studies indicated that the AUC0-∞ has increased 2.79 times and the Cmax 4.37 times after the formation of inclusion *** decrease of tmaxindicated the Am80-HP-β-CD inclusion complex can be absorbed into blood *** short,the solubility and bio-availability of Am80 has notably increased with the complexation of HP-β-***,using the inclusion technique is a promising method to improve the solubility of insoluble drugs.

Teak （Tectona grandis L.f.） is widely planted in the world due to its high market demand, economic, ecological and social value. Its plantations have mostly been established and expanded into sites that are acidic to severely acidic in southern China. But, there are no available and specific evidence-based nutrient management techniques. To better recognize and understand the relationship between teak tree growth and nutrient content in the foliage and soil and establish nutrient norms are critical to optimally manage these young plantations. We studied the foliar nutrient and soil chemistry in 19 representative teak plantations aged 5-8 years. Regression analysis indicated that the mean annual increment of teak volume was linearly and positively correlated with foliar N, Ca, Fe and B concentrations, with soil base saturation percentage, available P and Zn concentrations, and negatively correlated with soil Al concentration. Only if the Ca and Mg contents in soil were enhanced, could the increase in soil base saturation percentage benefit teak growth. A revised classification of low-and high-yielding stands was established by using a sorting method of principal components over 6 foliar macro and 8 micro elements in a Diagnosis and Recommendation Integrated System （DRIS）. Specific DRIS norms for teak plantations in acid soils were derived. The nutrient balance of N, P, K Ca, Mg, Zn, B with Fe or A1, Ca with Mg, and Fe with AI provided a key to promote the growth of teak in acid soils. Meanwhile, soil Zn was also found as a primary trace element that affected teak growth in this study.

【目的】柚木Tectona grandis是热带珍贵树种之一,生长周期长,与药用植物套种是一种额外获得短期收益、达到“以短养长”的方法。因土壤微生物群落在土壤健康和质量方面有着重要作用,本文旨在探明柚木套种药用植物对土壤微生物群落的结构和功能影响,为柚木人工林科学经营和绿色发展提供理论参考。【方法】以柚木林下套种草豆蔻Alpinia katsumadai为研究对象,未套种草豆蔻的柚木为对照,通过采集两者根际土壤,利用高通量测序技术分析其真菌群落特征,从多样性指数、群落结构和组成、共现性网络来分析林药套种下土壤真菌群落的变化及差异。【结果】柚木套种草豆蔻处理相比未套种的土壤真菌群落多样性无显著变化,多样性指数(Chao1、Shannon、Observed_species和PD_whole_tree)差异不显著;但群落结构有显著不同,非度量多维尺度(NMDS)分析和主成分(PCA)分析显示柚木套种草豆蔻与未套种处理群落组成分离明显,线性判别分析(LEfSe)显示两者富集最多的类群不同;套种处理土壤真菌网络结构更加集中和复杂(网络节点数和正向边比例上升,模块化指数增加),子囊菌门和担子菌门分别为套种和未套种土壤真菌群落的中心响应类群。【结论】柚木林下套种草豆蔻对土壤真菌群落结构有显著影响,套种草豆蔻提升了柚木根际真菌群落的网络复杂性和集中程度,形成了更紧密的土壤微生物环境,研究结果可从微生物角度为柚木人工林套种及提升生产力提供理论指导。

Effect of slope position on leaf and fine root C,N and P stoichiometry and rhizosphere soil properties in Tectona grandis plantations

Little is known about C-N-P stoichiometries and content in teak(Tectona grandis)plantations in South China,which are mostly sited on hilly areas with lateritic soil,and the effect of slope position on the accumulation of these elements in trees and rhizosphere *** we analyzed the C,N,P content and stoichiometry in leaves,fine roots and rhizosphere soils of trees on the upper and lower slopes of a 12-year-old teak *** Kraft classification system of tree status was used to sample dominant,subdominant and mean trees at each slope *** results showed that the C,N and P contents in leaves were higher than in fine roots and rhizosphere *** lowest C/N,C/P and N/P ratios were found in rhizosphere soils,and the C/N and C/P ratios in fine roots were higher than in *** accumulation in leaves,fine roots and rhizosphere soils were significantly influenced by slope position and tree class with their interaction mainly showing a greater effect on rhizosphere *** C content and C/N ratio,fine root C and P contents,and C/N and C/P ratios all increased distinctly with declining slope *** contents of organic matter(SOM),ammonium(NH4+-N),nitrate-nitrogen(NO3--N)and available potassium(AK)in rhizosphere soils were mainly enriched on upper slopes,but exchange calcium(ECa),available phosphorus(AP),and pH were relatively *** in the C,N and P stoichiometries in trees were mainly attributed to the differences in rhizosphere soil properties.N and P contents showed significant positive linear relationships between leaf and rhizosphere soil,and C content negative linear correlation among leaves,fine roots and rhizosphere *** properties of rhizosphere soils,particularly C/N and NH4+-N,had significant effects on the leaf nutrients in trees on the upper ***,rhizosphere soil properties mainly influenced fine root nutrients on the lower slope,and soil AK was the major influencing ***,these

Intra-articular delivery of tetramethylpyrazine microspheres with enhanced articular cavity retention for treating osteoarthritis

Tetramethylpyrazine(TMP) is a traditional Chinese herbal medicine with strong antiinflammatory and cartilage protection activities, and thus a promising candidate for treating osteoarthritis. However, TMP is rapidly cleared from the joint cavity after intra-articular injection and requires multiple injections to maintain efficacy. The aim of this study was to encapsulate TMP into poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)(PLGA) microspheres to enhance the TMP retention in the joint, reducing injection frequencies and decreasing dosage. TMP microspheres were prepared by emulsion/solvent evaporation method. The intra-articular retention of the drug was assessed by detecting the drug concentration distributed in the joint tissue at different time points. The therapeutic effect of TMP microspheres was evaluated by the swelling of knee joints and histologic analysis in papain-induced OA rat model. The prepared freezedried microspheres with a particle size of about 10 μm can effectively prolong the retention time of the drug in the articular cavity to 30 d, which is 4.7 times that of the TMP ***-articular injection of TMP microspheres efficiently relieved inflammatory symptoms,improved joint lesions and decreased the depletion of proteoglycan. In conclusion, intraarticular injection of TMP loaded microspheres was a promising therapeutic method in the treatment of OA.

Generic sustained release tablets of trimetazidine hydrochloride: Preparation and in vitro–in vivo correlation studies

The aim of the current work was to develop generic sustained-release tablets containing35 mg trimetazidine dihydrochloride and to establish an in vitro–in vivo correlation that could predict the bioavailability. The marketed sustained release tablet(Vastarel MR) used as reference, a sustained-release matrix tablet was prepared using hydroxypropyl methylcellulose(HPMC) as matrix by wet granulation and the in vitro dissolution profiles of the self-made tablets were determined in four different dissolution media(0.1 M HCl, pH 4.5 PBS, pH 6.8 PBS and water). A higher similarity between prepared tablets and Vastarel MR was established, with similarity factor(f2) ranging from 60 to 75 in the four media. The in vivo pharmacokinetics was studied in six healthy beagles. Compared with Vastarel MR, the Cmax of self-made tablets was slightly decreased, while the Tmax and MRT0–t were slightly prolonged, but with no significant difference(P > 0.05). The average of relative bioavailability(F) was 102.52% based on AUC0–t. For log-transformed AUC0–t and Cmax, the upper confidence limit on the appropriate criterion is <0, indicating these two formulations were population bioequivalent. The in vivo–in vitro correlation coefficient obtained from point-to-point analysis of self-made tablets was 0.9720. In conclusion, the prepared tablets were bioequivalent to the marketed tablets, according to both the in vitro release rate and extent of absorption, and a good in vivo–in vitro correlation was established for the self-made tablets that indicated in vitro dissolution tests could be used as a surrogate for bioavailability studies.

Using cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals, CsPb(Cl/Br)3, as a light absorber, we report a highly effective UV and blue light blocking film. The CsPb(Cl/Br)3 nanocrystals are well dispersed in the ethyl cellulose(EC) matrix to compose a UV and blue light shielding film, and the absorption edge of the film is tunable by adjusting Cl to Br ratio using anion exchange. The CsPbCl2 Br-EC film exhibits a transmittance of 5% at 459 nm, 90% at 478 nm and 95% in the range of 500–800 nm, which makes it excellent for UV and blue light shielding. In addition, the as-prepared EC-CsPb(Cl/Br)3 film shows excellent photostability under UV irradiation. Results demonstrate that this EC-CsPb(Cl/Br)3 based materials with sharp absorbance edges, tunable blocking wavelength, and high photostability can be useful for the applications in UV and blue light blocking and optical filters.

Vancomycin hydrochloride(VANH),the first glycopeptide antibiotic,is a water-soluble drug for the treatment of acute *** formulations of VANH have already been manipulated and characterized,which was a mean of increasing their therapeutic index,reducing their toxicity and altering drug *** of the challenges for preparing VANH-Lips is their low encapsulation efficiency(EE).In the present study,we aim to improve the liposomal formulation of VANH for higher EE,longer systemic circulation,reduced nephrotoxicity and enhanced antimicrobial *** hydrochloride-loaded liposomes(VANH-Lips)were formulated by the method of modified reverse phase *** on the optimization of formulation with orthogonal experimental design,the average drug encapsulation efficiency and the mean particle size of VANH-Lips were found to be 40.78±2.56%and 188.4±2.77 *** vitro drug release of VANH-Lips possessed a sustained release characteristic and their release behavior was in accordance with the Weibull *** intravenous injection to mice,the mean residence time(MRT)of VANH-Lips group was significantly prolonged in vivo and the AUC value was improved as well compared with the vancomycin hydrochloride solution(VANH-Sol)***,the biodistribution results in mice showed that VANH-Lips decreased the accumulation of VANH in kidney after intravenous *** conclusion,VANH-Lips may be a potential delivery system for VANH to decrease nephrotoxicity in the treatment of osteomyelitis.
