The previous study conducted by Li(2022)demonstrates that the Goda graph can be adequately represented by a solitary-wave-like form across the entire range of relative water depth,with the exception of the extremely shallow ***,it remains uncertain whether this form is equally effective when applied to test data generated by irregular waves,as the Goda graph was initially developed based on overtopping data from regular wave ***,it is unclear whether this form is suitable for formulating overtopping discharge at composite vertical *** order to address these questions,a 2D overtopping experiment was conducted,incorporating both simple and composite types of vertical walls,with various relative water depths across the entire range,excluding the extremely shallow zone.A novel analysis procedure was developed,which proved to be highly productive and can be considered a general method for data ***,the study yielded two conclusions:(1)the solitary-wave-like form is remarkably effective in formulating overtopping test data generated by irregular waves,regardless of whether the vertical wall is simple or composite,and(2)the resulting formulas exhibit definitely better performance compared with existing formulas.

Fe-Mn-Co-xTa alloys（x=0,1,2,3 wt.%） were fabricated using spark plasma sintering to explore the influence of Ta content on the microstructure,mechanical properties,and damping characteristics of Fe-17Mn-3Co damping *** micro structural analysis reveals the dominant presence of γ-austenite,ε-martensite,α'-martensite,and Co3Ta precipitates within the *** increments in Ta content exhibit proportional enhancements in hardness,tensile strength,and fracture elongation of the ***,these improvements in mechanical attributes are closely correlated with the generated second-phase *** the Ta content increases,there is a gradual augmentation in the formation of Co3Ta within the ***,the damping property initially experiences an ascent followed by a subsequent decline with rising Ta *** damping behavior finds its origins in multiple mechanisms,including grain boundary damping stemming from reduced grain size,interfacial damping induced by the generated Co3Ta,and dislocation *** is noteworthy that the emergence of the secondary phase wields a dual impact on damping *** the one hand,the proliferation of the second phase fosters increased interfaces for energy *** the other hand,these interfaces give rise to compressive stresses,constraining interface movement and thus impeding damping property enhancement.

As promising catalysts for the degradation of organic pollutants,metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)often face limitations due to the particle agglomeration and challenging recovery in liquid-catalysis application,stemming from their powdery *** macroscopic structures from pulverous MOF is thus of great importance for broadening their practical *** this study,three-dimensional porous MOF aerogel catalysts were successfully fabricated for degrading organic dyes by activating peroxymonosulfate(PMS).MOF/gelatin aerogel(MOF/GA)catalysts were prepared by directly integrating bimetallic FeCo-BDC with gelatin solutions,followed by freeze-drying and low-temperature *** FeCo-BDC-0.15/GA/PMS system exhibited remarkable performance in degrading various organic dyes,eliminating 99.2%of rhodamine B within a mere 5 *** to the GA/PMS system,there was over a 300-fold increase in the reaction rate ***,high removal efficiency was maintained across varying conditions,including different solution pH,co-existing inorganic anions,and natural water *** trapping experiments and electron paramagnetic resonance analysis revealed that the degradation involved radical(SO_(4)^(-)·)and non-radical routes(^(1)O_(2)),of which ^(1)O_(2) was ***,even after a continuous 400-min reaction in a fixed-bed reactor at a liquid hourly space velocity of 27 h^(-1),the FeCo-BDC/GA composite sustained a degradation efficiency exceeding 98.7%.This work presents highly active MOF-gelatin aerogels for dye degradation and expands the potential for their large-scale,continuous treatment application in organic dye wastewater management.

Distortion-aware beamforming design for multi-beam satellite communications with nonlinear power amplifiers

Hardware components can cause different impairments, including power amplifier(PA) nonlinearities, which inevitably impact the system performance of satellite communications(SATCOM). In this work, we consider a multi-beam SATCOM downlink system and investigate the distortion-aware beamforming scheme with the characteristics of PA non-linearities. Notably, we aim to maximize the resource efficiency(RE), defined as the weighted sum of energy efficiency(EE) with spectral efficiency(SE), to obtain a flexible EE-SE tradeoff while accounting for the characteristics of PA distortion and the total power *** that the optimization objective is a sum of ratios and the high non-convexity involved in constraints,we propose an efficient approach that exploits the quadratic transformation, the Lagrange multiplier method,and the gradient ascent approach to handle this issue. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the distortion-aware beamforming approach in achieving the EE-SE tradeoff and exhibit a substantial RE performance gain over the conventional approach with ideal linear PAs assumed at the satellite transmitters.

D-A charge transfer, including through-bond charge transfer and through-space charge transfer between two different electron donors（D） and electron acceptors（A）, is a fundamental and powerful tool to tune the optical properties of organic dyes. Herein,we demonstrate a unique strategy to tune phosphorescence and circularly polarized luminescence properties of axially chiral binuclear Pt（Ⅱ） complexes through long-range charge transfer, even though these molecules have two totally identical segments on either side of the chiral core. The presence of axial chirality would break not only the symmetry of molecular structure and π-conjugation system but also the symmetry of charge distribution for long-range charge transfer. These binaphthyl-based Pt（Ⅱ）complexes bearing coordinated atoms far away from chiral axis exhibit no Pt-Pt interactions but colorful concentrationdependent phosphorescence with quantum yield up to 86.4% and could be applied as emitters in highly efficient solutionprocessed organic light-emitting diodes to achieve luminance, luminance efficiency, power efficiency, external quantum efficiency, and asymmetry factor up to 8.94 × 10～3cd m-2, 41.9 cd A-1, 18.8 lm W-1, 12.6% and 2.98 × 10-3, respectively. Therefore,the present work affords a new and simple way to utilize the inherently asymmetric advantage of chirality for the design of D-Abased organic dyes.

Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)(NVP)is gifted with fast Na^(+)conductive NASICON *** it still suffers from low electronic conductivity and inadequate energy ***,a high-entropy modification strategy is realized by doping V^(3+)site with Ga^(3+)/Cr^(3+)/Al^(3+)/Fe^(3+)/In^(3+)simultaneously(***_(3)V_(2-x)(GaCrAlFeIn)_x(PO_(4))_(3);x=0,0.04,0.06,and 0.08)to stimulate the V^(5+)■V^(2+)reversible multi-electron *** configuration high-entropy can effectively suppress the structural collapse,enhance the redox reversibility in high working voltage(4.0 V),and optimize the electronic induced *** in-situ X-ray powder diffraction and in-situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy tests efficaciously confirm the robust structu ral recovery and far lower polarization throughout an entire charge-discharge cycle during 1.6-4.3 V,***,the density functional theory calculations clarify the stronger metallicity of high-entropy electrode than the bare that is derived from the more mobile free electrons surrounding the vicinity of Fermi *** grace of high-entropy design and multi-electron transfer reactions,the optimal Na_(3)V_(1.7)(GaCrAlFeIn)_(0.06)(PO_(4))_(3)can exhibit perfect cycling/rate performances(90.97%@5000 cycles@30 C;112 mA h g^(-1)@10 C and 109 mA h g^(-1)@30 C,2.0-4.3 V).Furthermore,it can supply ultra-high185 mA h g^(-1)capacity with fa ntastic energy density(522 W h kg^(-1))in half-cells(1.4-4.3 V),and competitive capacity(121 mA h g^(-1))as well as energy density(402 W h kg^(-1))in full-cells(1.6-4.1 V),demonstrating enormous application potential for sodium-ion batteries.
