Parkinson’s disease is a common neurodegenerative disease with movement disorders associated with the intracytoplasmic deposition of aggregate proteins such asα-synuclein in *** one of the major intracellular degradation pathways,the autophagy-lysosome pathway plays an important role in eliminating these *** evidence has shown that upregulation of the autophagy-lysosome pathway may contribute to the clearance ofα-synuclein aggregates and protect against degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in Parkinson’s ***,multiple genes associated with the pathogenesis of Parkinson’s disease are intimately linked to alterations in the autophagy-lysosome ***,this pathway appears to be a promising therapeutic target for treatment of Parkinson’s *** this review,we briefly introduce the machinery of ***,we provide a description of the effects of Parkinson’s disease–related genes on the autophagy-lysosome ***,we highlight the potential chemical and genetic therapeutic strategies targeting the autophagy–lysosome pathway and their applications in Parkinson’s disease.

The mechanical behavior of cemented gangue backfill materials(CGBMs)is closely related to particle size distribution(PSD)of aggregates and properties of cementitious ***,the true triaxial compression tests,CT scanning,SEM,and EDS tests were conducted on cemented gangue backfill samples(CGBSs)with various carbon nanotube concentrations(P_(CNT))that satisfied fractal theory for the PSD of *** mechanical properties,energy dissipations,and failure mechanisms of the CGBSs under true triaxial compression were systematically *** results indicate that appropriate carbon nanotubes(CNTs)effectively enhance the mechanical properties and energy dissipations of CGBSs through micropore filling and microcrack bridging,and the optimal effect appears at P_(CNT)of 0.08wt%.Taking PSD fractal dimension(D)of 2.500 as an example,compared to that of CGBS without CNT,the peak strength(σ_(p)),axial peak strain(ε_(1,p)),elastic strain energy(Ue),and dissipated energy(U_(d))increased by 12.76%,29.60%,19.05%,and90.39%,***,excessive CNTs can reduce the mechanical properties of CGBSs due to CNT agglomeration,manifesting a decrease inρ_(p),ε_(1,p),and the volumetric strain increment(Δε_(v))when P_(CNT)increases from 0.08wt%to 0.12wt%.Moreover,the addition of CNTs improved the integrity of CGBS after macroscopic failure,and crack extension in CGBSs appeared in two modes:detour and pass through the ***σ_(p)and U_(d)firstly increase and then decrease with increasing D,and porosity shows the opposite ***ε_(1,p)andΔε_(v)are negatively correlated with D,and CGBS with D=2.150 has the maximum deformation parameters(ε_(1,p)=0.05079,Δε_(v)=0.01990)due to the frictional slip effect caused by coarse *** increasing D,the failure modes of CGBSs are sequentially manifested as oblique shear failure,"Y-shaped"shear failure,and conjugate shear failure.

Phthalates (PAEs) are endocrine-disrupting chemicals that are widely present in everyday life and enter the human body through various pathways. The release of PAEs into the environment through pathways that include leaching, evaporation, abrasion, and the use of personal care products exposes humans to PAEs via ingestion, inhalation, and dermal absorption. Pregnant women, as a particularly vulnerable population, risk adverse newborn growth and development when exposed to PAEs. While the concentrations of PAEs in urine reflect recent exposure levels in humans, urinary levels of phthalate metabolites (mPAEs) are commonly used as biomarkers of internal exposure owing to the relatively short biological half-lives of PAEs (<24 h). In this study, we developed a solid-phase extraction-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (SPE-HPLC-MS/MS) method for simultaneously detecting eight mPAEs in the urine of pregnant women. Urine samples were enzymatically hydrolyzed with -glucosidase and then purified using the Bond Elut Plexa SPE column, with subsequent elution, concentration, and redissolved performed prior to HPLC-MS/MS. Separation was achieved using an Agilent Eclipse Plus C18 column (100 mm×3 mm, 3.5 μm), with gradient elution performed using 0.1% acetic acid aqueous solution and 0.1% acetic acid acetonitrile as mobile phases. Multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode was used for detection, with quantification performed using the internal-standard method. Good linearities were obtained in the range of 0.1-200 ng/mL for the eight mPAEs, with limits of detection (LODs) and quantification (LOQs) of 0.015-0.048 and 0.050-0.160 ng/mL, respectively. The eight mPAEs exhibited recoveries of 80.2%-99.7% at three spiked levels (1, 10, and 50 ng/mL). This method was subsequently used to analyze the eight mPAEs levels in urine samples of 497 pregnant women from the Ezhou Maternity and Child Health Care Hospital. As a microforming technique, micro/nano-structural replication possesses advantages of high precision and efficiency. With the remarkable superplasticity in the supercooled liquid region, amorphous alloys or metallic glasses(MGs) are regarded as ideal materials for miniature fabrication. However, due to the intrinsic metastable nature of supercooled liquids, the design of imprinting processes for MGs poses a challenge. In the past, process parameters have largely relied on trial-and-error *** this work, a low-frequency active force modulation system is employed to apply a stable, precise, and real-time feedback stress field for imprinting of MG samples. Low-frequency vibrations can facilitate the filling of microstructures on the template surface by reducing the effective viscosity of the supercooled liquid. With the dataset composed of orthogonal experiments, a machine learning strategy based on back-propagation(BP) neural networks was utilized to construct a 3D parameter space for temperature, stress, and time, and to predict the corresponding filling ratio. Furthermore, the optimal combination of imprinting process parameters was identified, and its filling ratio was experimentally validated to reach as high as 0.94. The near-perfect replication of microstructures confirms the superiority of the active force modulation system and the data-driven strategy of machine learning-assisted parameter design. At the same time, this one-step microforming process provides a new approach to addressing the accuracy-cost trade-off dilemma in precision manufacturing.

Polyurethane foam adhesive(PFA)has been introduced as an alternative stabilizer in geotechnical applications because PFA can improve the engineering characteristics of soil by filling the pore space and generating adhesive bonding among the ***,the dynamic properties of PFA-reinforced soils are not well *** analyze the dynamic characteristics of PFA-reinforced gravels,a series of cyclic triaxial tests were carried out to investigate the shear modulus and damping ratio of PFA-reinforced gravels,and to determine the corresponding effects of the PFA content,confining pressure,consolidation stress ratio and loading *** results showed that the shear modulus increased,and the damping ratio decreased as the PFA content,confining pressure and consolidation stress ratio *** contrast,the effect of the loading frequency,which ranged from 0.05 to 1 Hz,was negligible.A modified hyperbolic empirical model can consider the effect of the PFA content on the maximum shear modulus and predict the relationship between the normalized shear modulus and the normalized shear strain was ***,the upper and lower bounds of the damping ratio were also proposed.

The Janus fabrics designed for personal moisture/thermal regulation have garnered significant attention for their potential to enhance human ***,the development of smart and dynamic fabrics capable of managing personal moisture/thermal comfort in response to changing external environments remains a ***,a smart cellulose-based Janus fabric was designed to dynamically manage personal moisture/*** cotton fabric was grafted with N-isopropylacrylamide to construct a temperature-stimulated transport ***,hydrophobic ethyl cellulose and hydrophilic cellulose nanofiber were sprayed on the bottom and top sides of the fabric to obtain wettability *** fabric exhibits anti-gravity directional liquid transportation from hydrophobic side to hydrophilic side,and can dynamically and continuously control the transportation time in a wide range of 3–66 s as the temperature increases from 10 to 40℃.This smart fabric can quickly dissipate heat at high temperatures,while at low temperatures,it can slow down the heat dissipation rate and prevent the human from becoming too *** addition,the fabric has UV shielding and photodynamic antibacterial properties through depositing graphitic carbon nitride nanosheets on the hydrophilic *** smart fabric offers an innovative approach to maximizing personal comfort in environments with significant temperature variations.

Dear Editor,This letter presents a joint probabilistic scheduling and resource allocation method(PSRA) for 5G-based wireless networked control systems(WNCSs). As a control-aware optimization method, PSRA minimizes the linear quadratic Gaussian(LQG) control cost of WNCSs by optimizing the activation probability of subsystems, the number of uplink repetitions, and the durations of uplink and downlink phases. Simulation results show that PSRA achieves smaller LQG control costs than existing works.

Dysregulation of neurotransmitter metabolism in the central nervous system contributes to mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and post–traumatic stress disorder. Monoamines and amino acids are important types of neurotransmitters. Our previous results have shown that disco-interacting protein 2 homolog A(Dip2a) knockout mice exhibit brain development disorders and abnormal amino acid metabolism in serum. This suggests that DIP2A is involved in the metabolism of amino acid–associated neurotransmitters. Therefore, we performed targeted neurotransmitter metabolomics analysis and found that Dip2a deficiency caused abnormal metabolism of tryptophan and thyroxine in the basolateral amygdala and medial prefrontal cortex. In addition, acute restraint stress induced a decrease in 5-hydroxytryptamine in the basolateral amygdala. Additionally, Dip2a was abundantly expressed in excitatory neurons of the basolateral amygdala, and deletion of Dip2a in these neurons resulted in hopelessness-like behavior in the tail suspension test. Altogether, these findings demonstrate that DIP2A in the basolateral amygdala may be involved in the regulation of stress susceptibility. This provides critical evidence implicating a role of DIP2A in affective disorders.

In this paper, we present a metamaterial structure of Dirac and vanadium dioxide（VO2） and investigate its optical properties using the finite-difference time-domain（FDTD） technique. Using the phase transition feature of VO2, the design can realize active tuning of the plasmon induced transparency（PIT） effect at terahertz frequency, thereby converting from a single PIT to a double-PIT. When VO2is in the insulating state, the structure is symmetric to obtain a single-band PIT effect. When VO2is in the metallic state, the structure turns asymmetric to realize a dual-band PIT effect. This design provides a reference direction for the design of actively tunable metamaterials. Additionally, it is discovered that the transparent window's resonant frequency and the Fermi level in this structure have a somewhat linear relationship. In addition, the structure achieves superior refractive index sensitivity in the terahertz band, surpassing 1 THz/RIU. Consequently, the design exhibits encouraging potential for application in refractive index sensors and optical switches.
