BACKGROUND Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) is a Gram-negative bacterium found in the upper digestive tract. Although H. pylori infection is an identified risk factor for gastric cancer, its role in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC) remains a topic of much *** To evaluate the association between H. pylori infection and the risk of precancerous lesions of ESCC, and further explore the association between dietary factors and the risk of H. pylori *** Two hundred patients with esophageal precancerous lesions(EPL) aged 63.01 ± 6.08 years and 200 healthy controls aged 62.85 ± 6.03 years were included in this case-control study. Epidemiological data and qualitative food frequency data were investigated. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay measuring serum immunoglobulin G antibodies was used to determine H. pylori seropositivity. An unconditional logistic regression model was used to assess the association between H. pylori infection and EPL risk dichotomized by gender, age, and the use of tobacco and alcohol, as well as the association between dietary factors and the risk of H. pylori *** A total of 47(23.5%) EPL cases and 58(29.0%) healthy controls had positive H. pylori infection. An inverse relation between H. pylori infection and the risk of EPL was found in the group of drinkers after adjustment for covariates [odds ratio(OR) = 0.32, 95% confidence interval(95%CI): 0.11-0.95]. Additionally, peanut intake was significantly associated with a decreased risk of H. pylori infection(OR = 0.39, 95%CI: 0.20-0.74).CONCLUSION Our study suggested that H. pylori infection may decrease the risk of EPL for drinkers in a rural adult Chinese population, and the consumption of peanut may reduce the risk of H. pylori infection. These findings should be framed as preliminary evidence, and further studies are required to address whether the mechanisms are related to the localization of lesions and alcohol consumption.

Gas hydrate(GH) is an unconventional resource estimated at 1000-120,000 trillion *** on GH is ongoing to determine its geological and flow characteristics for commercial production. After two large-scale drilling expeditions to study the GH-bearing zone in the Ulleung Basin, the mineral composition of 488 sediment samples was analyzed using X-ray diffraction(XRD). Because the analysis is costly and dependent on experts, a machine learning model was developed to predict the mineral composition using XRD intensity profiles as input data. However, the model's performance was limited because of improper preprocessing of the intensity profile. Because preprocessing was applied to each feature, the intensity trend was not preserved even though this factor is the most important when analyzing mineral composition. In this study, the profile was preprocessed for each sample using minmax scaling because relative intensity is critical for mineral analysis. For 49 test data among the 488data, the convolutional neural network(CNN) model improved the average absolute error and coefficient of determination by 41% and 46%, respectively, than those of CNN model with feature-based preprocessing. This study confirms that combining preprocessing for each sample with CNN is the most efficient approach for analyzing XRD data. The developed model can be used for the compositional analysis of sediment samples from the Ulleung Basin and the Korea Plateau. In addition, the overall procedure can be applied to any XRD data of sediments worldwide.

Image coloring is an inherently uncertain and multimodal problem. By inputting a grayscale image into a coloring network， visually plausible colored photos can be generated. Conventional methods primarily rely on semantic information for image colorization. Although effective in coloring images with clear semantic information， these methods still suffer from color contamination and semantic confusion. This is largely due to the limited capacity of convolutional neural networks to effectively learn deep semantic information inherent in *** this paper， we propose a network structure that addresses these limitations by leveraging multi-level semantic information classification and fusion. Additionally， we introduce a global semantic fusion network to combat the issues of color contamination. The proposed coloring encoder accurately extracts object-level semantic information from *** further enhance visual plausibility， we employ a self-supervised adversarial training method. We train the network structure on various datasets with varying amounts of data and evaluate its performance using the ImageNet validation set and COCO validation set. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed RepColor can generate more realistic images compared to previous approaches， showcasing its high generalization ability.

Objective: To take Baihui (GV20) and Fengchi (GB20) targeting inflammatory response to regulate migraine as an example to describe a new method for studying the mechanism of stimulating ***: The target information of Baihui (GV20) and Fengchi (GB20) was retrieved， and after intersection with migraine， Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG)， Reactome， and UniProt Keywords were used for functional enrichment. After selecting the main pathway， rats were selected and nitroglycerin was used for modeling， and the behavioral scores， inflammatory factors， heme oxygenase 1 (HMOX1)， protein kinase B (AKT1)， signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3)， phosphorylated extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 (P-ERK1/ERK2) and other states of the rats in the acupuncture， twisting， and electroacupuncture groups were ***: A total of 135 Baihui (GV20) targets and 27 Fengchi (GB20) targets were collected. A total of 73 target information were obtained after the intersection of these targets in migraine. These 73 targets have three main pathways: hypoxia-inducible factor 1 (HIF-1) signaling pathway， signaling by interleukins and inflammatory response. The main targets in the pathway were verified and found that interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β)， interleukin-6 (IL-6)， tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and HMOX1， AKT1， STAT3， P-ERK1/ERK2 can be regulated by Baihui (GV20) and Fengchi (GB20).Conclusion: Baihui (GV20) and Fengchi (GB20) can regulate migraine by regulating inflammatory factors and HMOX1， AKT1， STAT3， P-ERK1/ERK2 and other changes in HIF-1 signaling pathway， Signaling by Interleukins and Inflammatory response pathways. Based on systems biology and network pharmacology， and with the model of "acupoint-target-disease"， explore the research methods of systematic acupuncture and moxibustion. We believe this is a usable research direction for exploring the mechanism of acupuncture stimulation.

This study investigates extreme rainfall episodes along the eastern foothills of the Taihang Mountains in North China from 30 july to 1 August 2023. It focuses on two types of extreme hourly rainfall rates (HRRs), i.e., the maximum regional-average HRR and site-observed HRR, which exhibited sequential development over southern, middle, and northern key regions. These rainfall extremes occurred in an environment where a high-pressure barrier over North China prevented the intrusion of cold air masses from the north while a northward-moving typhoon remnant vortex and its associated low-level jet (LLJ) transported warm and moist airflow from the south. Two distinct echo evolution modes and convection initiation mechanisms are identified for the two types of extreme HRRs. The maximum regional-average HRR occurred when the LLJ arrived to the east of the key regions, while the maximum site-observed HRR occurred when the warmer vortex center influenced the regions. Taking the northern key region as a representation, at the time of the maximum regional-average HRR, slantwise ascent of the airflow along a warm-frontal-like boundary released energy related to symmetrical instability, resulting in stratiform rainfall with weak convective cores. The transport of locally initiated convection over the eastern plain region, where the atmospheric stratification was more potentially unstable, also significantly contributed. When the maximum site-observed HRR occurred, the terrain lifting of warm and moist southeast airflow led to intense convection over the mountain foothills. Overall, the passage of the warm-core typhoon remnant vortex and interaction with Taihang Mountains determined the timing and location of extreme HRRs across the key regions.

Mitochondrial Rho-GTPase 1 (MIRO1) is an outer mitochondrial membrane protein which regulates mitochondrial transport and mitophagy in mitosis. In present study, we reported the crucial roles of MIRO1 in mammalian oocyte meiosis and its potential relationship with aging. We found that MIRO1 expressed in mouse and porcine oocytes, and its expression decreased in aged mice. MIRO1 deficiency caused the failure of meiotic resumption and polar body extrusion in both mouse and porcine oocytes, which could be rescued by exogenous MIRO1supplementation. Mass spectrometry data indicated that MIRO1 associated with several cytoskeleton and cell cycle-related proteins, and MIRO1 regulated motor protein Dynein for microtubule-organizing centers (MTOCs) dynamics at germinal vesicle (GV) stage, which determined meiotic resumption. Furthermore, we found that MIRO1 regulated Aurora A and kinesin family member 11 (KIF11) for meiotic spindle assembly in oocytes. Besides, MIRO1 associated with several mitochondria-related proteins dynamic-related protein 1 (DRP1),Parkin and lysosomal-associated membrane protein 2 (LAMP2) for mitochondrial dynamics and mitophagy during oocyte meiosis. Taken together, our results suggested that MIRO1 played pivotal roles in meiotic resumption, spindle assembly and mitochondrial function in mouse and porcine oocytes, and its insufficiency might contribute to the oocyte maturation defects during aging.

Certain transients require regular observations over several days at intervals of hours or shorter,which cannot be accomplished by telescopes at a single *** deployment of globally distributed telescopes at geographic locations of different longitudes enables the periodic monitoring of transients through relay ***,the simultaneous relay observation of numerous targets requires a telescope array of multiple telescopes that can be efficiently coordinated,and an automated scheduler for the *** paper proposes IPROS,an integer programming model relay observation scheduler for a telescope array,that accounts for the entire process of relay observation and is consistent with the practical *** introduce the integer programming mathematical model for the relay observation scheduling problem with the telescope array,upon which the scheduler is ***,we propose an algorithm to provide a comprehensive formulation of the optimization objective of minimizing cadence deviation in the *** results demonstrate that the relay observation scheduler based on the integer programming model can effectively address the telescope array relay observation *** shows superiority over a scheduler with non-specific consideration of relay observation in the modeling and a scheduler based on greedy thought.
